ME TOO!!!!!! i updated my pre-TR after i did it because i was really excited. i was soooooo worried they weren't going to have parties in may because they hadn't announced them yet, but i'm very happy now because i don't have to alter my schedule. i'm going may 2nd!

My last ADR was a dining spot for the Pirate and Princess Party. I tried to get 7pm LTT... we are a party of 8 so we there was none available..i had to settle for 5:40 pm ..kinda of mad because i booked everything else at 180 days and got everything i wanted including CRT..i should have been smarter and booked a 7pm for the P&PP night at 180 days but i didnt cuz i was waiting for them to annnounce the party first..which was dumb.live and learn...oh well

i am just missing u at P &PP

lynda e-mailed me about a question i asked her and she asked that i tell you guys she's still around, but having computer problems. this is what she said:

I have been dealing with major computer issues at home. My laptop got a virus, and we spent an evening trying to fix it, a few evenings backing up data that I couldn't lose, another evening restoring it, and tonight will be the second evening I will have spent re-installing programs and re-loading files onto it. And I was out of town Friday afternoon and all day Saturday. (A friend and I went to a concert in St. Louis.) Plus, in the past week we've had an ice storm, at least 6 inches of snow (in one night), then 50 degree weather (so all the snow melted and we had the most dense fog I've ever seen in my life!), and last night we had a LOT of rain which caused flooding since we just had all that snow melt into the ground. So, bottom line is, things have been CRAZY!!! I miss the Peeps! Tell everyone I said hi, and I'll be back there just as soon as I can be. I hope to finish up the computer stuff tonight or tomorrow night. Although I do have a hair appointment tomorrow night.

for those peeps who've checked in from the southeast - i'm so glad you're okay! my mom called me this morning and said my grandmother's entire front yard has no trees left in it, which is really sad because she had LOTS of big, beautiful trees in her front yard. they are very lucky to be alive right now....it just missed their house. my friend melanie said they found an 11-month-old baby in the middle of a field and he was okay. just crazy stuff! i hope all of your loves ones are okay. please pray for those families in the area that was affected. i think there's 12 dead in tennessee.

oh, my gosh......this is so hard!!!!!!

steel magnolias
lord of the rings: the return of the king
peter pan
beauty and the beast
alice in wonderland
when harry met sally
bridget jones's diary
the cell (although that would be sort of freaky to watch all alone on a deserted island!)
garden state
forrest gump

Thanks Dawn! :goodvibes I'm checking in! I have re-installed everything on my laptop except our camcorder software because I don't know where it is. I think DH knows, so I'll ask when he gets home That means I haven't got a lot of time, so...

I hope everyone is OK, what with all the crazy weather all over the place the past few days! I have only read back a couple of pages, so I don't know who has checked in and who hasn't right now, but I've been thinking about my Peeps a lot lately.

My DH has started the weight loss journey with me! He is counting his calories and using the treadmill we just got! :thumbsup2 We do need to talk strategy though, so that we know what motivates, and what discourages, each other. I know he will blow me away because he is a guy and he is just starting out. But that's OK. I'm thrilled that he is doing it! :cheer2:

Wow! My top 10 movies for a deserted island??? (Has someone been watching The Office? They played that on there!) This IS tough! I guess this is it.

Lilo & Stitch
Finding Neverland
The Great Outdoors
Pirates of the Carribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl
Beauty & the Beast
Dirty Dancing
Charlie & the Chocolate Factory
Mean Girls
Sabrina (original)
How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days

lynda & kat - i forgot to tell you guys something. while you were MIA and on a vacation, i achieved my goal weight! last friday i weighed 129 pounds and my goal is 130. not bragging, but you guys are part of the reason and i had to share it and say THANK YOU!!!!! :grouphug: although i'm sure i'll be way up this week because i've been so busy with work i haven't exercised AT ALL!!! :sad2:

honestly i think 5:40 is a better ADR time. you don't waste so much of your P&PP time eating dinner! it's kinda early but that way you get the eating out of the way and have more time to see all the festivities! we have a 5:10 ADR at kona cafe so we can be finished eating by 6:30 at the latest and be heading towards MK for the party!

THAT'S AWESOME!!!! :thumbsup2 i love that you have a partner in your weight loss journey. i wish ray needed to lose weight so he could've helped me - he can eat anything and not gain any weight at all.

Charlie & the Chocolate Factory

i forgot this one!!!!! can i have 11? i LOVE this movie. MUMBLER!!!! :lmao:

:cool1: :yay: :cheer2:  Congrats on goal weight!!! That's really exciting! I'm so proud of you!

:rotfl: Exactly! I LOVE Johnny Depp in that movie!

PUNKIN WOOHOO!! WTG!!

Lynda my laptop is dying! DS said it was bad down there, superbowl sunday was horrible lightning! Oh, and he wrote a poem about a soup can for class that is hilarious... but he uses the "f" word!! :rotfl2:

Aaron been thinking about you today as the Chicago radio is mentioning how bad Sheboygan is, I figure it must be bad to get a mention all the way down in Chicago!! They also talked about the jacknife semis on RT 90 in Madison - those cars havent moved in NINE HOURS - and wont move until THREE AM!! - are you kidding me?? how can anyone stay in a car for over SIXTEEN HOURS?! :scared1: (and there are some real deserted stretches of highway!)

My cousin/niece we havent heard from - she lives in a huge town called ASHFLAT Arkansas - when my grandparents lived there - population 16!! I'm sure my cousin/sister (we're very close!) has heard, as has her mom, and probably my parents... I've called all of them and left messages this morning, no word back, so that has to mean good news!

I dont know about my ten yet, but you can bet I'll have
1. Moonstruck (Ilove when she slaps him after he says he thinks he loves her. "snap out of it" or at the end when grandpa is crying "someone tell a joke" it has to be good if I can remember lines!!)
2 Wizard of Oz
3 . Somewhere in Time
4. Meet me In St Louis
5. Quiet Man
6. Hell's Angels (wow 2 John Wayne movies!!)
7. Angel in my Pocket...

(I'm thinking the original Star Wars, Empire Strikes back, Lady and the Tramp, 7 Brides for 7 Brothers, or maybe Finnigan's Rainbow... but the original Sabrina, When Harry met Sally, well gosh, there just is too many of them!!)

trouble is I read other people's list and say, "oooo I love that one too!!" :rotfl2: and if we're on deserted island or am *I* on the deserted island, becase I'm thinking I've not watched any xrated material, but... :rolleyes1 I heard Batman/Adam West did one..)

That's awesome!!!! Someday I will get there too!

I am happy because I think Mr Kat has finally, really, jumped on the wagon with me. It will be really good for us, and will hopefully mean that we can work things out on other fronts too.

Ok Peeps, I have to confess. DH took me and the kids out to dinner tonight at PF Changs. I was not Peep like at all! :sad2: Although, I did try to eat a smaller portion. We got an appetizer, and two dishes and split it among the four of us. Now remember "little bit" (my daughter) doesn't eat much. I actually think that I would qualify for the "redneck mama of the year". :lmao: I took her a jelly sandwich in a brown paper sack. She did actually eat a little of the appetizer, and some of the shrimp. Anyway, it was soooooo good. I did exercise for 50 minutes today and did 3.5 miles, so maybe it won't be that bad.
DD has always been super-picky. When she was little, when we went to McDonald's she would order a cheeseburger with no burger. Just cheese on a bun. When she went to science camp in 5th grade I asked her if she tried any new food. she said she had a corn dog with the corn bread pulled off.:sad2:

Well I talked to DF, and he said that all the doctors know is that his heart is really, really weak. They're trying to decide what to do about it, but they're not sure what they can do.
 to you and DF. Sorry life can be so hard. I'm praying for you both.

If we are counting miles, I have done 10 miles on the elliptical this week. Still haven't figured out the bike miles.

And for those close to goal who are stalling out, hang in there. I would agree with everyone who said try something new. And I always remember my WW leader who told us to stay away from BLTs- Bites, Licks, and Tastes. And I repeat, watch that portion sizes are level. Every little thing can make a big difference one way or the other when you are close to goal.
Oh, and one more thing. think of your weight loss as a percentage of your total body weight. As you get closer to goal, a smaller weight loss may still be the same percentage of your weight.

forrest gump
Doh! How could I forget that movie!?! And I just realized that I left Airplane! off of my list, too. I think those would be my first two alternates if the deserted island Blockbuster was out of one of the others.

Wow! My top 10 movies for a deserted island??? (Has someone been watching The Office? They played that on there!) This IS tough! I guess this is it.
Was it on The Office? I must have seen that episode recently, forgot it was on there, and then subconsciously started pondering it or something.

Yeah, it got pretty nasty up here. I think they said we got 15 inches of snow between 10:00 Tuesday night and about 6:00 last. My cul-de-sac seems to be somewhat of a wind tunnel, so I'm used to drifting in my driveway. But yesterday was just terrible. I had drifts up to my waist, and really no place to put the snow. I guess that'll teach me to complain about the cold - at least you don't have to shovel cold. And what you were talking about in Madison - the stretch of highway that goes from Madison to the Illinois border was impassible. 550 cars were stranded there, and the National Guard was going from car to car on snowmobiles to make sure everyone was all right.

DisneyLaura - I forgot to quote you, and I appreciate you looking up the Jump Start menu for me. But I came to a realization last night, almost like a minor epiphany. After you posted how many points we are supposed to eat for the Jump Start, I realized that it was almost what I was eating already. The points ranges that I have from when I used to do it on-line told me that I should now be eating 22 points a day. But when you said that the Jump Start was 20 points a day (only 2 less than what i am currently eating), and that you only want to do it for a week or two so your body doesn't go into starvation mode, I started thinking "I wonder if I'm not eating enough". So I did the Peep calorie calculation of "Goal Weight x 12", and I came up with 1860 calories. Then I took the time and calculated the caloric values of everything that I ate yesterday (which was a pretty typical day of eating for me), and I came up with 1445 calories. That means that I was 415 calories short for the day. And I've been doing that for pretty much the past 2-3 months. The American Heart Association says that a male my age who just lives a sedentary life (really no exercise or anything) needs 2200 calories a day. And when I factor in that I exercise enough to reach the Moderately Active level, that jumps up to 2400-2600 calories daily. That means that I am potentially eating almost 1000 fewer calories than my body needs! So I think my body might be in starvation mode. But who'da thunk it, me not eating enough? That thought never crossed my mind, since it has never been my problem.

So, based on all of that, I am contemplating making a drastic change and abandon the Weight Watchers points system that has helped me lose 65+ pounds, in favor of the calorie counting that has helped a few of our Peeps reach their goal weights. Once I get started on that plan (probably after next week, since my birthday is Monday and I don't want to start something new until after that), I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions about how the calorie counting works for those of you doing the same. And hopefully it'll re-start my metabolism so I can get over the hump that I'm stuck at right now.

Have a great everybody!

That is awesome that your hubbies are joining you on your journeys!! I wish my boyfriend would take more of a cue from me ..not that i am perfect with my diet and exercise, but i am making a huge effort, i think. I just get nervous because he is still so young, and in his job they say the #1 killer of Firefighters is heart attack..so cardiovascular-wise he could use some improvement. anyway..i am happy that your guys have joined you and i can only hope that mine will somewhat follow suit!

Good luck with a new strategy!! I find calorie counting is paying off way more than WW did for me ..so you never know!! :)

WAIT! Last night I woke up thinking "Wait a cotton picking minute here! I forgot FUN WITH DICK AND JANE on my list!" Which leads me to the dilemma of which to omit. Great.

Airplane? Shirley we can't forget that! :upsidedow

Office Space?

Can we have alternates? Join Net Flix?

i did not know they could reposess grass :rotfl: (fun with dick and jane)
I need to go back and catch up !!!
but a fly by post none the less.

Kat Welcome back - cant wait to read your trip report!!

I forgot to add Christmas Movies to my list (altho Meet Me in St Louis is one of my favorite Christmas Songs/scenes)

good thing I stopped at 7 :rotfl2:
so should I add Miracle on 34th street (original blackandwhite) or
Its a Wonderful Life (orig B&W) :confused3

If we're allowed TV shows on DVD, can I pick another 10? LOL. I would need Lost, Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, and Friends.

Can I just be done with coughing?

I am feeling better, but still not close to being me yet.

I think today, I'm having a set back of sorts, but nothing major.

Just my body healing.

The kids have another snow day. I think they are averaging 1 a week lately.

I should have a great weigh day tomorrow.:lmao:

The Pneumonia diet! Great Cardio, Monica!

Kim
- You need to rest your knee, and ice it, and keep taking the ibuprofen. Trust me, I went through that in October. It may take it a while to heal. Don't do any hills. Try and walk on flat surfaces. You might need to go to the Dr. and have it Xrayed.

I'm here and safe, but boy that was a wild ride last night. Woke up to the next counties tornado siren. 15 minutes later ours went off. Turned on the TV, and they talked about where the tornado was, WHEW, not close to us. Then they say another one is spotted about a mile from the house! :scared1: DH and I went and got the kids and we spent some time in our little powder room bath. Nothing major happened here, but boy what a night! It was funny hearing all the kids stories at preschool today. They kept coming in telling us there was a tornado last night, and that they spent the night in the bathtub. :rotfl: They were so cute about it. Glad that nothing bad happened close by. We are just all a little tired today.

Thank you for the tips. In fact, I have ice on it right now. I reallly want to try to run tonight but will be sure I take it easy and if it becomes to painful I will stop.

I am glad you and your family are safe. We just got heavy rain and some lightening and thunder here.

Here's something I've been pondering while starring out my window as the "white death" continues to fall. If you were stranded on a deserted island, and are only allowed to have 10 movies, which would they be? (Hey, if the Professor can make a radio out of coconuts, then we can have electricity and DVD players on a deserted island!)

Here's my list... popcorn::

The Lion King
The Godfather
Major League
Back to the Future
Batman (with Michael Keaton)
Hoosiers
The Blues Brothers
Dazed and Confused
Blazing Saddles
National Lampoon's European Vacation

What's yours?

White death...:lmao: :lmao: And here I sit wishing for some to come this way. The grass is always greener..or rather whiter in this case. Hang in there and think warm thoughts.

My movie list:
1. Lord of the Rings (all 3)
2. Breakfast Club
3. The Changeling
4. Fried Green Tomatoes
5. The Chronicles of Narania: The Lion, the witch and the Wardrobe
6. Old School (I think Will Ferrell is hysterical)
7. Clerks
8. Steal Magnolias
9. City of Angels
10. Barnyard

punkin:

We are driving over on Friday. The girls have a practice from 7 to 830 pm at the Gwinett Marriott. The competition is all day Sat at the civic center. And then Sunday they have a workshop from 745am to 330pm. BUSY!!

pixiedust: for your DD and her competition.

Hey Peeps!

Just got my Pirate & Princess Party Tixx for May 16th!!!! sooo excited!

I worked out hard core today..today an hour cardio kickboxing class today at the New York Sports Club NYSC and then 20 minutes of abs!!!

i think it was the starbucks coffee that gave me all the extra energy this a.m. i usually drink dunkin donuts but my fiance ran out of D&D so starbucks it was..i might have to make it a habit! ;)

I say whatever it takes. When I am really dreagging butt, I grab a diet Red Bull before I hit the gym.

born2bird- Hope you feel better. Be sure to tell us about Nemo on ice!!

Monymony3471- Jake Ryan is MINE!!:lovestruc

Dirty Dancing
Smokey and the Bandit
Lady and the Tramp
Sixteen Candles (I:lovestruc Jake Ryan!)

Pretty in Pink ( I love the song If you leave)
Smokey and the Bandit 2
Cruel Intentions ( Ryan Philieppe :lovestruc)I know I didnt spell that right
Sweet Home Alabama
Swiss Family Robinson

That was harder than I thought.

I love all of your movie choices. I almost put Pretty in Pink on my top 10 but decided to go with Breakfast Club instead.

Nemo on Ice was cute. My DS3 loved it!! It was very well done. I had sticker shocke when they charged my DH 8.50 for a pretzel and Sprite.

Monica, I hope you are feeling better soon. How are your children? Are they still feeling porrly too?

Kat, WELCOME HOME!!! I am heading over to your TR to read all about it.

Welcome back.

Dawn Also, can we please all be stuck on the same island because as I was reading all of these there are way TOO MANY ones I couldn't chose or forget.

Laura

I agree! And it would be so fun to be stuck together. Think how skinny we'd all be after being on the island for a while!

punkin413 Dawn - I so understand what you do now, thanks for the lesson :thumbsup2 I though you actually typed everything as they talked which I could find hard to do. I was a medical transcriptionist for years before I decided to be a SAHM and will probably go back to the hopsital I used to work at when DD2 is older but then again we listened to tapes and I was able to stop listening while my fingers caught up.

WI_DisneyFan That's sound like what you have been doing. Good luck on the change. It should work for you because it's something different. :thumbsup2 No problem for me looking up anything that's what friends are for right :)

Can we have alternates? Join Net Flix?

I say yes. It's hard to choose just 10.

Ok peeps. I am doing so well this week, ok it's only been two days but yesterday I was under my points and today I am going to be too. I am eating though believe me I am. For lunch I had a whole bag of lettuce and of course I had a Boca chicken patty too. They're pretty good. We've got parent conferences tonight. I am pretty excited to see how my DS6 is doing. He was behind a little since kindergarten but is slowly catching up. He gets very nervous about answering in class so the teacher said last time (Nov) we have to build up his confidence. He progressed in his reading so good since the beginning of the year. I am one proud momma I tell you. My other DS8 had trouble with comprehension in reading. He only remembers and comprehends things he likes to read :confused3 How can I change that one. Anyway I'll let you guys know later how they're doing.

Laura

The prices at the ice shows are more horrible then anywhere else I've ever been. I saw Princess Wishes last year, and I splurged on a program, but I could not justify spending that much on food, we just went out to eat afterwards.

punkin413 Dawn - I so understand what you do now, thanks for the lesson :thumbsup2 I though you actually typed everything as they talked which I could find hard to do.
Ditto on what you thought Dawn did! I kept picturing the person with that weird typewriter thing that only seemed to have like 10 keys and space bar. And then the judge would say "can you read back what the defendant just said". Or is that a court reporter that I'm thinking of?
