Happy Birthday!


Well, adults are always saying that their kids are better with computers than they are...

You know what I'm impressed with? That you were able to put the keys back in their right place. I've stared at a keyboard 8 hours a day, 5 days a week for the past 11 years, and I know that it would be a lost cause for me.

Well I kind of cheated-I went to my Word program and touched the space to see which letter it was and then I put it back. The only keys that might be in the wrong spots are the Fn key and the windows key--not that I really use them.
OH MONYMONY what has happened? Someone, go looking for her will you?? Surely she has given birth by now???? (or was she due in Sept?)

I think Monica is having the baby on August 13th.
 
Oh ladies hold your horses. My doctor is in Europe for another weeek and I simply can't have this baby until he returns!!!!!!!


It's so hard to do the steps with all these secretions running through my body and making every joint I have loose and seperating. Computer is in the basement.

My feet, wrists, elbows, and hips keep popping out of place. It's a very pleasant feeling. Makes it very difficult to sleep at nite too.

Tim was in Texas again and I had to hold down the fort. Plus he took the lap top.

So, I just wanted to say hello. I'm thinking another 2 weeks. I have another appt on Aug 2. Well see what he has to say about all this pain I am constantly in.

Maybe I'll go earlier. But after Zach's birthday party, which we sceduled 2 weeks early. OI! July 28th is the party. His birthday is Aug 10th

Then I get to schedule Malories. Hers is Aug 27th.

I moved this sorry butt 3.27 miles in a sprinkling rain... took 50 minutes, I think I can make the 5K in under an hour next Sunday.... :faint: I've never ever entered a "race" and what I do is no way considered "running"... wogging may be even stretching it - :laughing: its like I think even *I* can walk faster than I wog!! but I did all 3 miles today without walking... and... and... it was uphill at least half the way!! :rotfl: I had no idea there were so many hills here in Indiana!!

I turned down a lunch invitation to a place w/ no healthy food. I have had 32 oz of water and no food yet (haven't had time for lunch!). I packed my lunch and plan to eat it. I plan on hitting the gym after work. Does all that count?

Quick drive by (work is nuts!)... for the first time in the year I have worked here, I am NOT WEARING ANYTHING BLACK!!! My boss actually stopped me and commented.

Let's see. I drank (drunk? drinked?) a whole lot of water. I have a cup that is 24oz, and I'm on my 4th refill of the day. Love that water!

Anyway, I've started to feel a bit icky about all this lurking, so I decided to stop....and just say that you guys are a great support system. I think of this group whenever I don't feel like exercising or when I want to eat too many cookies.

Glad you decided to join in! Since you've been reading for a while, you already know that this is a great group here. And because you have already accomplished what most of us are trying to do, I'm sure you can be a great source of information and encouragement when we hit those little roadblocks that are bound to pop up. And of course, we'll be here to do the same for you!
 
Hey, I just noticed that I am slowing approaching 500 posts! Although, when you consider I've been a member since May 2006, and there are others who first joined this year and already have three or four times as many posts, I guess it's not that big of an accomplishment. So I figure at my current pace, I should reach 500 sometime mid-September.

I drank 128 ounces of water today, woohoo!!! I heard somewhere that your supposed to drink your body weight in water each day- anyone heard about this?? :confused3

Well im off to continue work, this day is dragging on soo much. But tomorrow is FRIDAY!! :banana: :banana:

Also, i hope to get a run in after work- so thats healthy to!

Okay, I knew that these pants didn't fit before and did this morning w/ room to spare, actually. So, I just looked at the tag and they say 14! I have had at least 5 people stop me today and tell me how good I am looking. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Here's to hoping the scale doesn't creep up tomorrow AM...

I just had 1-1/2 cups of steamed broccoli with Kraft Fat Free cheddar cheese on it and pretended it was nachos!

It was the worst nachos I've ever eaten!

But I NEED the extreme fiber broccoli offers. Before tomorrow. See how dedicated and will-powerish I yam? I'm fresh out of All Bran Cereal for some Colon Blow for dinner.

I need to up my water because I've been drinking diet soda all day to stay awake after the late night at the drive in I had last night.

The older I get, the more convinced I am that the old adage, "Early to bed, early to rise..." is very very wise! Not the "late to bed, early to rise" that I do! There is no where I 'd rather be than in bed asleep without any ANY disturbances. No phone, no kids, no dogs barking, no potty breaks, no laundry screaming to be done...


Ok, DO SOMETHING HEALTHY THIS EVENING GUYS!!!!!! (Before Big Brother is on TV...)

We had a really good time. Flying was not fun for me though. Panic attack including tears. I took your recomendations with me but we went against the grain and did the am EMH and some of the pm EMH with a swim and a nap during the heat of the day. My kids are older so it worked for us but I saw alot of weary parents and some whinny toddlers -so for those I wouldnt recommend it. But we were able to do most of the major stuff and be out of the park by 11 or 12 and then we headed back about 4 or 5 pm. My dinners were between 8 and 9 pm. We normally eat that late at home too so no big change for us.

Oh, do you all remember that I was taking DH1 boyfriend? Well, he went. But apparently they broke up pre-Disney and werent speaking so he was miserable and asked to go home. I put him on a plane home just 3 days into the 10 day vacation. Lesson learned. . . LET THE BOYFRIEND PAY HIS OWN WAY!!! Or better yet- no friends allowed on the family vacation. We had a good time anyway.

Oh, and one more dining review- 50's primetime- we had a blast!! food was pretty good but the most priceless was seeing DH1 with her nose to the corner for saying "whatever" to the waiter- all in fun of course- she's not a smartmouth- well, most of the time.

My niece is downloading our pictures- I'll get her to help me post them

I had a complete lapse in judgement yesterday and stopped at Great Clips on the way home from work. Knowing there were no children at home and being tired, tired, tired of my hair, I pulled in and got a haircut. I have some serious washing/styling to do this morning to see what I really think.

It'll grow...it's just hair...right? And did I tell you my DD17 bleached her hair blonde two weeks ago?? REALLY blonde. Do you see her in the black dress in my siggie picture? TOTALLY BLONDE! I just keep telling myself...it's not a tattoo, it's not a tattoo, it's not a tattoo.......

NANCY....Good job on the crunches, bike, and water!!!!

DENE....I don't see why a plastic surgeon couldn't do all those surgeries at once? Heck....have you had your wisdom teeth out?

SPARKIE....I'm glad you had fun! That's what's important. Sorry about the panic attack. DD always asks if we can take her BF along. Nope....who'd take care of the dog. (Frankly I see enough of him as it is!)

Yesterday was not a good day!!! Do you ever seem to have days where nothing is giong the way you had planned. Yesterday morning the builder showed up to take some measurements to see how much paint we needed and at the same time the AC guy came. I left my laptop open because I did not realize both were going to show up. Well the builder went to say hello to Joshua and said Heather he is taking off the keys to your laptop :headache: I had not vlue how to get them off but a 22 month old sure does. I found all the letters but the letter "C". It is just a void on the keypad. That was just the beginning of the day. I think I hear the builders again so I need to go.

Melinda...I accidentally erased part of your post, but I wanted to comment on DD's hair. I always told my daughter, who has my facination for dying her hair (like me), that as long as it was a color God would have given a person, then it was OK. She has been red & black, even though she is naturally brown. Never did the blonde. However, once she was 18, she and her sister both got tattoos. I can't say much, as I have one too! And yes, that is DH & I in my siggie! Thought it ws a fun pic to put in. :hug:




Eeyore, thanks for these reminders! It is so easy to feel over looked & ignored on a board that moves so quickly. (Been there before.) :confused3 But I just had to remember, you can't comment on everything that is said! Also, thanks for the reminder to do something for me! I tend to forget in the busyness of life. I figure someday I'll be able to put "me" near the top of my priorities! :hippie:

Why, thank you so much for jumping in!! It always gives me goosebumps when people report they've been praying - its so AWESOME!! Update on my nieces dh (who was in an awful motorcylce accident, career ending) He may not have mobility in his wrist or ankle - he may need more skin grafts, he does get depressed... he is about 6'3" very very "built" - he loved working out in the gym 3 - 4hours for fun!! Now he cant even answer his cell phone! I just pray that the insurance settlement doesnt short change him. The army put my niece on "leave' (she originally resigned when she found out she was pg... now since he wont be able to work, he gets spousal benifets this way!)

Harry Potter yep, I just had to know if the rumors were true or false - and I found a site that posted the last chapter of the book - took digital pix of the 2 pages together, so it was very hard to read... :surfweb: Not sure if it was the "Real Deal" (I'm thinkin yes) all I can say is, I cant wait till Saturday!! DH ordered it from Amazon to come here at mom's then we realized we have to pick her up at 10AM - so its now going to the house! I convinced dh we need 2 copies!! (hey, there are 5 of us you know!) so I'm heading to WalMart at 6 am Saturday on my way to pick up DD!! :dance3:

Have you seen the little packets that you add to water called vita something??A lady at work was saying it has either 5 or 10 grams of fiber and tastes really good.:confused3

Dance ooo I love the wedding pictures - I've made the headpieces before, they werent hard to do - how about the bouquets? They look fabulous!! and great tip on the Tide to Go - I spilled some Balsamic reduction on my shirt last night... and it did the trick on that black stuff too!! :thumbsup2

We have storms going through, so I have the kids in the house and in the basement. Rare for summertime to be indoors like this.

You have to take your body weight, divide it in half and that's the amount of water you should drink per day. For each 30 minutes of exercise you do, add another 8 oz.

I read that if you drink more than that, you can have water retention issues.;)
