i think dene already answered this, but SSR is saratoga springs resort. it's across the lake from DTD. it's very pretty and i can't wait to stay there! it's a DVC resort and usually costs around $300/night to stay there, but we rented points from a DVC member (who everyone here knows......she rocks the house!) and got it for a much better price than that. i'm excited because, number one, you can walk to DTD from there, which in and of itself is convenient, but also there's the added transportation bonus of getting from resort to resort. for instance, if you want to get to the poly from SSR, you just walk to DTD and then take a bus directly to the poly. secondly, it's apparently known for being very peaceful, sort of a getaway from the parks. i think it'd be great for you and your DBF (or eventually DH!) before you guys have kids.....or even after!
about september, yes, that's the girls trip in the countdown in my siggie. we're only staying for 3 nights, but i'm excited because i get a little taste of disney before our trip in april! we are staying FOR FREE with eventer at OKW!!! how could i pass that up? i'll probably do a very short TR on it and if so i'll link it in my siggie.

Oh, do you all remember that I was taking DH1 boyfriend? Well, he went. But apparently they broke up pre-Disney and werent speaking so he was miserable and asked to go home. I put him on a plane home just 3 days into the 10 day vacation. Lesson learned. . . LET THE BOYFRIEND PAY HIS OWN WAY!!! Or better yet- no friends allowed on the family vacation. We had a good time anyway.

I had a complete lapse in judgement yesterday and stopped at Great Clips on the way home from work. Knowing there were no children at home and being tired, tired, tired of my hair, I pulled in and got a haircut. I have some serious washing/styling to do this morning to see what I really think.
It'll grow...it's just hair...right? And did I tell you my DD17 bleached her hair blonde two weeks ago?? REALLY blonde. Do you see her in the black dress in my siggie picture? TOTALLY BLONDE! I just keep telling myself...it's not a tattoo, it's not a tattoo, it's not a tattoo.......
i got my hair cut yesterday, too! great minds think alike. and yes, it is hair and it WILL grow back. do you know how many times i've told myself that????
Yesterday was not a good day!!! Do you ever seem to have days where nothing is giong the way you had planned. Yesterday morning the builder showed up to take some measurements to see how much paint we needed and at the same time the AC guy came. I left my laptop open because I did not realize both were going to show up. Well the builder went to say hello to Joshua and said Heather he is taking off the keys to your laptop
I had not vlue how to get them off but a 22 month old sure does. I found all the letters but the letter "C". It is just a void on the keypad. That was just the beginning of the day. I think I hear the builders again so I need to go.
i think that sometimes god gives us all the bad stuff on the same day just so we can deal with it and be done with it for awhile! hope things are better today!
Last night was rough here. DD woke up FOUR times last night, and for the first time EVER wet her bed
I am exhausted and now feeling queasy. BUT.....Today is off to a decent start for a change! I woke up to a ton of overdraft fees on my bank account, basically for a check I deposited that was returned NSF, bouncing some stuff in my account. They agreed to reverse all the fees except one! Over $175 in fees getting reversed. Amen! It is about time the bank offers to be of some help when the issue was beyond my control! Now, the person who wrote me the check (the lady I have been babysitting for of all people!)is still going to have to get me the money, cash only this time and no more checks. This lady has asked me twice to hold her checks and now this, so I just dont need that kind of stres right now. This is my job, I count on getting paid just as any other job, you know?

i hate it when people don't pay for your services! don't you just want to ask her what she'd do if her boss told her to hold her check past pay day??? we get that a lot. an attorney will order a copy of something and then i'll transcribe it and they either won't send the money for it or they'll say they didn't order it. it's such a pain! i've learned to leave my recording equipment on until everyone has ordered what they want to order in case they come back and say, "i never ordered that." um.....yeah, you did.....i have it recorded, sucker!!!

I am certifiably insane. In 30 minutes I'm walking out my door to a youth activity. What could be so insane about that you ask? Well we're taking over 200 youth on a "Trek". Basically 3 days 2 nights of pushing all their stuff in a handcart thru the middle of no where. Full on pioneer clothes, I'll even have pictures to prove it later. But me who gets winded going up and down the stairs to the basement is going along.
If I don't loose weight I will officially give up. Anyway, I'll see ya'll in a couple of days!!

last night was soooooo rough. it gave me a taste of having a newborn. sherman, my oldest dog who will be 10 in december, was up and down ALL NIGHT. i don't know what's wrong with him. he usually sleeps at the foot of the bed and doesn't move until our alarm goes off in the morning. he LOVES his sleep. but for the past 2 weeks on about 3 or 4 different nights he's done this thing where he gets up, lays on top of me or ray, then gets down off the bed, wanders around, then gets back up and repeats it over and over. and last night was the worst!!! he did it from 3:30 to about 7:00 this morning. ugh!!! i ended up sleeping on the couch with him just so it was easier for him to get up and down and wander around without boucing the bed around. has anyone had this problem with their dog? it's just so out of the norm for him and i'm wondering what the deal is???
