The wedding is in Dublin, GA. About 2 hours south of Atlanta (I75 then 16, I think). The the first weekend in August we will be at a convention in Atlanta. Cheesecake Factory here I come. (Did I say that outloud). Any other recommendations for a very nice dinner?

I am drinking hot lemon water in preparation for my "wellness" appt. Is it just supposed to be lemon and water? I cut a lemon into wedges and squeezed them into about 24 oz of hot water, is that right?

Finally, a topic on here that I actually know something about - how a man's brain works!!! Let me reassure you that nothing could be farther from the truth. Now, I will admit that SOME men do think that way. But those are the immature ones that you would want nothing to do with anyway. The really good, honest, decent guys that you can bring home to your parents quickly look past any imperfections that you have on the outside to see the perfections on the inside. And quite frankly, I think a lot men like women with a few curves. Personally, nothing is more unattractive to me than a woman who is a size 10 and looks at herself in the mirror and thinks "I am so fat". It just turns my stomach. Don't you worry. Your Prince Charming is out there, and he'll love you for who you are AND because of how you look!


CRAP!!! BB was on last night?!? I watched America's Got Talent, and then The Singing Bee (while occasionally checking on the baseball All Star Game). I completely forgot about BB.

Okay, Peeps... as promised, I am here when anything significant happens in my life.

Well, this was pretty significant. I went on my first date in over 20 years... and now I have a tale (I have been told by several people, including our own harley) that is the best first date story EVER! Guaranteed to give you a great ab workout from laughing!!!

I even sent the info (both from match.com AND from where I found real-life info about him on the net) to some friends (one a match.com vet)... we ALL thought ; but, alas, we were wrong... on SOOOOO many levels.

At least the guy paid for everything without hesitation. Sometimes, I feel a little guilty about telling the story to so many people (in person, on the phone, in e-mails, in PMs) and laughing and all... but DUDE! He kinda asked for it!

I have recently started a work out routine, but am having trouble keeping motoviated. So.. anyone for some advise... I would love to be 40 pounds thinner by Jan 25 when we go on our next trip!

REALLY! True story! Every one of those things happened.

I tried really hard to keep focused on his eyes... and my plate. Can't remember who, but someone asked if I was "impressed"... I guess I wasn't because the only thing I can describe is his tattoo.

There are definitely several match.com dating lessons to be learned from my experience!

that's so funny! i get some real winners contacting me through myspace.....and i have in my profile that i'm married. me and my sister sort of forward the friend requests we get to see who gets the craziest ones. once she got one that said something like, "i'm into line dancing, going out with friends, reading, bondage, watching football and horseback riding."

WOOHOOTY MELINDA page 1111 deserves a woohooty I thought!!

Harry Potter story (not as good as Dene's story, but its all I got!) So dh realized that dd was going away to camp - "too bad I cant take dd to the midnight show" um why not? "well you're leaving Thursday" ok, and the midnight show is TUESDAY 11:59 pm... "REALLY??"

so Tues I Fandingoed the tickets, then drove to get the tickets (the Imax 3D was sold out) (and why did I fandango the tickets if dh was going to make me drive to the theatre? ) then I went to the store and buy milk duds...

and we didnt tell DD - and she was a real snot - any time she saw me coming she jumped on my laptop - and talked back to me... it was horrendous - I may have to kill her!! But alas, I let it go, and we got thru it! She even called ds 21 to ask if dad ever took ds to midnight shows... Then she found out they theatre was SOLD OUT!! Finally at 10:30pm I caved and gave her the tickets (of course asking her if she believes in magic!! Sprinkled her with pixie dust when she wished, and then the tickets appeared!!)

So dh leaves at 11:20ish (the theatre is only 10 min away!) and he calls and says "ALL 20 THEATRES ARE SHOWING HP!!" oops (I didnt go!! remember I was going to kill dd! I got alone time ) So he figures out how to find his theatre, etc and thanks me that I sent dd with a can of pop and milk duds... and they enjoyed their daddy/dd time... They loved the show - except it was too short, they left too much out - Tonks...

And they got in the car and sat for 30 min not MOVING! DH was remembering the Greatful Dead concerts that had traffic flow, the Bears games have traffic flow but at 2:30AM in a movie theatre they didnt move an inch for 30 min - he spies a car moving behind the theatre, and he follows it - and was finally out of the lot (everyone else was still sitting there!)

He is hoping to NEVER DO THAT AGAIN! DD is hoping I take her to the 3D movie!!

dublin's on the way to savannah. you should just keep going down I-16 and eat the lady and son's! Well its official, i am no longer a 20-something! You know what though, i am pretty excited about it! I am going to make this the best decade ever..God Willing! I'm on a good healthy kick with my eating ( WW and PEEPS!!), in a great healthy relationship and I just enrolled to go back to school online and get my early childhood degree (already am certified to teach 1-6, but want to teach the little little guys!)...so I am pretty excited about the big 3-0! or hopefully it will turn into the NOT so BIG 30 if i keep Peepin it up

B day plans---Greg is working tonight ( firefighter..works 24hr shifts) so my parents are coming up for sushi ( YUM!) and bringing 1 slice (gotta be good) of my mom's homeade b day cake for me

I did match.com in december for a few months. I only got as far as emailing and chatting online so I don't have any good date stories. But I was getting some real winners responding to my ad (insert sarcasm here). It's no wonder I doubt myself if this is what is attracted to me If any of you are on myspace you might have read my blog about it. Is it too much to have a potential mate be fluent in english? Or to call you by name and not "sweet lips"? Or not want to go get wasted every night at a club? Or be old enough to be my father? Anyway

I am talking to someone online that I "met" through match.com. I'm giving it a go because I've got nothing better on my plate but he's not really speaking to me. And he's a little pushy. I do not like that.

The final went well. I think. The prof is a tricky grader though.

Shannon-I was on Match.com and Yahoo Personals for FOUR LONG YEARS! But that's how I met DH!! So it does work...in fact, it was kinda fun now that I look back on it. I have TONS of bad date stories...all my friends still come to me to hear them! Just don't give up....you have to weed through a ton of losers and players on there (one guy wooed me only to try and get me to join sme pyramid scheme he was running!! ) until you find a keeper. I would much rather find a guy from the internet then some drunk in a bar!! Let me know how it goes!

Hey everyone...sort of freaking out a bit here. STILL no call from my Dr all day. I had my phone, no missed calls on my cell or at home. I am a bit concerned and even a bit more mad about it. I am starting to feel neglected already. This is a BIG OB practice and everyone in town just loves this Dr....but me? Not so sure just yet. I am not used to being told "I will call you tomorrow no matter what the results say" and getting no call at all, even to say the results werent in yet, you know? I will call in the morning I guess, but the more I think about it I wasnt overwhelmed by him yesterday either. I may keep looking for a Dr that I feel a better fit with

I think you should change Drs. I guess that sounds like a harsh step but if you aren't happy now then what's going to happen 8 months from now? They should follow through on what they promise..end of story. I would be afraid they would let you down again in the future about something more serious.

Woo Hooty on the not-so-big 3-0! It's all about your attitude and how old you feel, and it sounds like you have a great attitude. by the way, lynda, how psyched are you that underdog is a beagle!!!??!!? i can't wait to see that movie! i want to take my boys to it....do you think they'd let dogs in the theater to see underdog?

I am thrilled that it's a beagle! I also like Jason Leigh, who is doing the voice. I don't know about Underdog being live action, and DH really doesn't like that idea, but it is a beagle! How can we not see it?!? Well, I think they SHOULD let beagles in to see Underdog! But I don't think they will. So I guess I'll be buying or renting it for Jasper to watch. I can't wait either! Her reactions to stuff on TV are SO funny sometimes! Are your boys really expressive? Because Jasper sure is! You just KNOW what she's thinking by the look on her face sometimes!
