I hear ya Punkin. I have not been working and there is no short term disability here so in the middle of DH building patio , deck and a bunch of yard things and tree removal I got sick!

What I find most annoying is that to eat healthy it costs more than than eatting not so healthy!

DISMOM - its a real hoot to get that feeling AF brings about in the form of lonliness or sadness or just my abilty to be the most impatient person walking.

Hang in there today is a new day full of many unknown possiblities for joy! Reach out and grab em! I usually get it by going to the park and watching the toddlders get tehir sea legs it always gives me a giggle!

Mony - OMG wehre has this 30 weeks gone?? I am sure it may seem like to forver to you but I can't get over how quickly time flies!

Remember when it seemed like forever for school to be out! ROFL!!! Now its a blink of an eye. I get a giggle when my DS tells me he can't wait to be a grown up and drive a car and have a job. Too funny!!!!!

DISMOM you can always as your kids what they are going to do over the next 20 years that should give a giggle!!!!

Hello! Mellow Yellows!:)

Wow, I'm 30 weeks PG today.:scared1:

I feel bloated like a cow.

I feel like the bottom is going to drop out any moment.

The skin on the top of my feet hurt!

And this heart burn is just insane!

Oh the joys of pregnancy! :hippie: I know you all are sooooooooooo jealous!:thumbsup2

Great job on the poundage! You all rock!:yay:

I have indured the summer for each of mine. For the hearburn tryp Pepcid AC Complete----this has worked for me when nothing else has worked and it has lasted through the day!!

WHen is you due date?

Sorry Moms to be but what I would not give to know the joy of childbrith once again! I have all the boalting swelling just not the rpeganancy!!!

Heres a little remiinder of insnae I am. I did go see a counselor after my last miscarriage. It was eatting me alive. I could focus on nothing else and saldy not even the child who is alive and well. Crazy right?? Gets even wierder , it seems that part of my ganing and retaining weight was to give me that feeling again. Nuts I tell ya!! See. It seems many of us that have lost them do this in attempt ot reagin the "feeling" of preganacy.

I know it is super hard int he heat and discomfort but please remeber there are tons of us that would give anything to be that uncomfortable again.

You have all my prayers and hopes for the wonderful joy you will know. No greater joy have I know than to hold my DS for the first time and you know it drives him nuts I still wnat to hug him and watch him sleep and tweek his adorable little nose. Funny 11 yo boys don't go in much for that!!!! Especially at the check out line in the local Walmart!!! LOL!!!

I've just had my golf handicap worked out and it's 16 :scared1: No more mistakes for me then like my 9 yesterday :rotfl2: I was hoping for it to be 18, I know it's only 2 less but that's a big 2 shots!

DINK = Double Income No Kids. A DINK list is a list of reasons to remain DINK. All of the uncomfortable-ness and such of pregnancy = one tick mark (checkmark) next to that entry on the list. :)

UM, can you post the pooh muffin recipe?

Um beat me too it, but I see her 100 reasons and raise her another 100

Lets see. 3 of my kids birthdays will be in August. My oldest was born in Nov. So, I know all about summer pregnancies.
My Dr. has several times emphasized using Tums only. Don't know why, but it I take them then I usually feel better. I get it from bending over all the time and in the middle of the night.

I'm scheduled to have my C-section on August 13th.

I was told how great the peppermint tea was for that. Just didn't do the job for me. When will they ever come up with things for pregnant Moms discomfort.

I know lets see a man preganant and how quickly they will come up wtih ever cure for ever preganant discomfort!!!!!! Not fair just not fair!!!!

DH had an instestinal virus once and wanted to go to hospital he thought he was just going to die, btw it was a 24 hr virus!!! I pointed out to him imagine that for 40 weeks??

Btw I never told you guys that big secret!!!!!!!

Well, good morning all!
Not to shameless plug my own PTR.. especially now that I have some avid readers...
BUT I did just post a few pics (and posted the other day as well) about seeing Beauty and the Beast on Broadway! It was amazing! Read away, please, while I catch up on my Peeps posts! Still so excited! So magical!! :)

Wow! I've been gone for a while! I missed the 1000 page post by 41 pages! :lmao:

Anyways, looks like DH and I will be seperating. I'll be moving soon, so I can be closer to school. The good news is that it is easier for me to lose weight when we aren't together.

I just don't know what to think of all this. I still love him, but us together is not a good thing. I don't want to have kids in an enviroment like this. And to add to that, he has a family history of mental illness. Thank goodness we don't have any children.

Anyways, I'm sorry to be going on about my personal problems.

I haven't been on the scale in a while. I might weigh today since TOM is almost over.

Congrats to all you who are doing well. You're such an inspiration!!!

You are a smart woman for realising the problems and not glossing them over. I know its hard, but be strong and keep you head up...

I lost 2.2 pounds this week, for a grand total of 30.4 pounds lost since the start of the year (new bling, here I come!!!), and an uber-grand total of 54.4 pounds lost since April 2005 in about 10.5 non-consecutive months. I am now 27.6 pounds away from my goal weight.

So, now that I am starting to slowly inch towards my goal weight (at this pace I should be there by the end of the year, but I won't complain if it doesn't happen until this time next year), I need to start ramping up my exercising. I'm a good routine where I'll walk for a good 45 minutes every night, but I know that I am going to have to start adding toning exercises to my routine as well. I've got a Bowflex that works really well for the arms and chest and back, and my legs aren't really a problem. But what I'm looking for is suggestions for stomach exercises. Has anyone found any success with something other than basic sit-ups and crunches? Or am I still best served using those old standbys?

Congratulations to the losers, and keep up the hard work gainers and samers! We'll all get there together! Good luck to all this week!

EDIT- Oooh, the 30 pound ribbon is so pretty, er, I mean, manly. Yeah, that's it. It is so manly!

YAY!! ABS!!! okay- 1) sit up the side of your bench,(edge of your chair if you dont have bench) and lean your torso back about 45 angle...hold onto the edge of the bench to hlep balance...stablize your abs straiten your legs, lift them off the florr and bring your knees to your chest...

2.) lie face down, raise up onto your elbows, and lift your body so you are up on your toes and elbows only...got to have strong tummy and back muscles...if your back hurts drop to your knees...make sure your butt isnt poking up- this is called Plank position so you want to look like a plank and be strait down the length of your body...

I'll have more later...gotta go run the kids

Hey Peeps! 30 hours away from the boards and I'm lost!!

One of my horses got sick yesterday AM. My older guy who is 25. My friend that takes care of him was leaving for Canada yest. and asked me to stay at her house to watch him over night. He coliked (sp??) which is like a severe stomach upset in people. The vet flushed his system with mineral oils to get his bowels moving again but he needed to be checked on every 3 hours incase he tried to lay down. If he was to do that his intestines could become twisted and he could die. Anyway, his fever broke last night and he seems A-OK now. I am going to give him another dose of meds at 3pm and head home. There are some young girls taking care of the other horses but my friend didn't think they could handle the vet care.

I am on her computer which only has dial-up! :headache: It's so slow it took 5 min for me to log in. Plus, when I tried to go back and read the previous posts, it didn't even bring up a reply button. So I gave up. I hope all is well with everyone and I will check in again later.

Happy thoughts for my pony please!!

Happy thoughts for my pony please!!

they're on their way....... i hate to hear about sick animals probably more than i hate to hear about sick people just because they're so innocent and don't understand what's going on. :sad1:

thought i'd share some pics from our babysitting adventure last night. we watched our neighbors' 18-month-old, maddyx, while they went to a baseball tournament. she was such a little cutie pie!

here she is playing with a bowl (what is it with kids and everyday items - they think they're so cool!) and with our doggies. i just love how eli is looking at that bowl and wanting to take it from her so badly, but he's being such a good boy and sitting there like he was told!

EXACTLY!!!!! i love kids. but after about 4 hours, you can have them back....i'm done with them now! :rotfl: she was so funny though. she'd go hide behind the couch and then come running out and ray would turn around and she'd start screaming with laughter. i wish i was that easily amused!!!

good luck on the fighting boys....they'll be best friends tomorrow i'm sure.

I'm scheduled to have my C-section on August 13th.

All of mine are September babies--we should induce this one on September 30th if all goes well.

Have you looked at the budget board lately. There are some great BOGO and $3.00 off coupons for LUVS. The BOGO ends on the 26th and $3 ends on the 30th. WE typically only buy Pampers cruisers, but this was to good of a deal to pass up when you stack the coupons. Today I got 6 packs for $21.00. Going back later for more.

I've been away from the budget boards. I'm going to check that out! Thanks. I've got about 9 packages of diapers already. Newborns, and size 1's.

One of my kids actually was small enought where he needed premie size for a few weeks. Now, he's my biggest kid.

Pigget: Thanks big time for posting that. That coupon deal is just incredible!

I'm sorry for what you are going through right now...I hope things get clearer for you soon. Trust your heart.

Thanks for all the happy pony thoughts...when I left awhile ago he was doing well. My friend won't be home until tomorrow night so fingers crossed the young girls will know to call me if things turn.

I would love to lose 2 pds. this week before leaving for WDW. Will be hard though. Brunch at the in-laws tomorrow and then we are taking my dad to Red Lobster. At least seafood is healthy and I won't probably eat much at the brunch since it's too close to the Red Lobster time. (Once again the in-laws have thrown last minute plans on us! :headache: ) I hope everyone is having a nice day!!

Hooray! I'm finally caught up. This last week of work kicked my booty. I should be cleaning my house right now, since people are coming for Father's Day/DS' b-day party tomorrow. but I have no energy. I did get to the gym this morning and did the elliptical. The scales showed a 1 1/4 lb. weight gain, not the 3 lbs. I posted, so I guess the water and exercise helped.
other side note finished my first class today at school and got our grades... Made the deans list and got a 4.0!!

Wooo Hooo! Yippee for you!

I like your plan so mind if I join in? I haven't been eating bomb pops but have been eating some equally carpy stuff. Hope the picnic was fun. What do you do in the summer? Relax? I hope?

Mostly relax, help my mom, teach 1 week of summer school, and 3 Disney-related trips: 2 to DL and one to Disney's El Capitan theater in Hollywood to see POTC 3. We're gonna be the last people in the world to see it, but life is just too crazy until next week when we go.

Well, I better finish my lunch and get to work around the house.

Just keep slimmin'!

Hi Peeps!

So I have been MIA for the past week and a half. This new clinic assignment at school plus some harsh "constructive criticism" from one of my supervisors has had me super busy. Which leads me to my reason for posting - I'm in need of some Peep advice.

I have a client who is almost 2 and a half, severe language delay and personally my supervisor and I think there is something else there but we have to deal with what we know. I had him for a client last semester and this semester so I've been seeing him for awhile and his progress is S L O W. Very slow. Mom is in the room for sessions and has refused to separate because she *thinks* he will be upset about it so I've chosen not to pursue it further and just deal with her being there. It's annoying because he runs to her and she sometimes interrupts me to have him say a word or to clarify something he said. And she becomes very defensive when either I or my supervisor discuss his language use, like how does he communicate at home, etc.

Anyway, long story short, I'm at a brick wall with thinking of activities for this kid. He loves cars, bubbles and stacking rings but I can only get so much out of him with those materials. And his attention span is super short - I tried to sit at the table with him once to do an activity and he last about 20 seconds. My supervisor isn't too much help with thinking of materials - she just rambles on in her fancy lingo that I guess I should start using but I think it just sounds like she is trying to sound extra smart  .

I know a lot of you have children or work with kids so if you could spare any ideas on what a delayed 2 yr old might like I'd really really appreciate it. Even if you don't think it would work in a speech treatment session, tell me anyway because your ideas might help me think of some new ones.

Thanks! I miss you guys and I'm going to try to start posting again soon. I just have had no desire to be near a computer if I didn't have to be so no DISing for me. Hope everyone has been well!
