Hi Peeps! I am back from my teacher work day. I am officially "checked out" but I still have to pack up a lot of things so I will be at school off and on all week. I am worried about tomorrow. A few weeks ago I posted about my "female issues" and that I have to get blood work and an ultrasound done. It is tomorrow morning so if you can send some good thoughts my way tomorrow morning I would appreciate it! :goodvibes I want this to be done so I can look forward to my trip which is only 5 days away!:yay: This is my itinerary for next week and I am up for any suggestions.

Sunday-MGM (this will be in the late afternoon and it is all we will have time for).
Monday a.m-Epcot p.m.-Magic Kingdom
Tuesday-a.m.-Animal Kingdom p.m.-Downtown Disney
Wednesday-a.m.-Magic Kingdom p.m. Epcot
Thursday-a.m.-MGM p.m-Magic Kingdom (and we will probably go back to Downtown Disney at some point also.)
Friday-Home:sad2:

I am open to suggestions for counter service restaurants.:)

Happy Birthday Winkers!!!!

Dance-Sounds like you and I could swap SIL stories all day!! I wonder why she still has all that baby fat after a year. Did she even try to lose it? It's one thing if she did and didn't get anywhere, for a million good reasons, but from what you are saying she probably didn't. I just hope she notices how hard you have worked at losing weight and acknowledges it!!
Oh, she supposedly 'tried' and in the same breath she told me about her 'efforts' she would tell me she had a big mac for lunch and 1/2 a large pizza for dinner dipped in ranch dressing. That is not exactly trying to me. She really used her pregnancies as a reason to eat. She tried to tell me her Dr said she was gaining so much because she was retaining water. Ummm, 60 pounds of water that didnt go away after birth? I am guessing not. She is just a real piece of work in many many ways. She also breastfed and when the babies would get rashes from something she ate, she basically said "Oh well...they will get over it or get used to it."

And believe me, I understand many people dont lose all the weight from a baby, but most of them at least try when they have gained that much, you know? Especially when it causes them health problems like she has admitted it has for her-high blood pressure and cholesterol to name 2....

Well, it isn't my first choice, but it will get me in and hopefully to my goal.
:cheer2: Congrats on the new job!

Had my fist two tests a written and practical got a 92 and 94 both A"S so excited!!!

Everyone else I hope you had a great weekend and good start to this week..

WOOHOOTY!! Great job!:cheer2:

Nothing new here today. I have my daycare kids and they are making me crazy already. And they are here for 2 1/2 more hours. It has been rainy here for about 10 days and they have been couped up inside with nothing to do but irritate each other. Ugh...gonna be a long afternoon. Thankfully they are watching Peter Pan right now....hopefully the quiet lasts for at least 30 minutes!

:bday: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, WINKERS!!!:bday: hope everything works out with your sister and the baby! i'll be thinking about you! :goodvibes

belle - counter services - we ate at backlot express, wolfgang puck express, tusker house and casey's corner for our CSs. all of them were good, but wolfgang puck express was really, really good for a CS. i had the bbq chicken quesadilla. are you gonna do a TR?

Saw POC this weekend with DH & DS...I did enjoy it, but found I was a little lost some of the time. :confused3

i was confused a lot, too. i think mostly because i couldn't understand what they were saying half the time! and as far as jack's "look-a-like," are you referring to the keeper of the pirate code? if so, i told DH i bet they didn't even have to use any makeup to make him look so wrinkled!!!

I haven't read since Thursday and now that I have caught up it is all in a jumble.I just wanted everyone to know that I am here just less than in the winter.I am having to work more hours because I am having to pay childcare for the summer.:scared: By the time I get off at 3:30 and pick up my older kids from the two or three places (it would have been to easy to have them in one place:rolleyes: ) it is time to get them to ball practice, tec.Anyway that is why I am around less.I still consider ya'll dear friends....

Happy Birthday Winkers!!!:cheer2:

My food intake has been awful....why is eating sooo fun??

Gotta go...more later.

How was your teacher work day? I just got back from mine.:thumbsup2 Although I still have some packing to do. At least the cume folders and report cards are done.:cool1:

Out teacher work day usually consists of getting our rooms packed up so they can clean the floors and wax them. I am typically moving rooms every year. We do not have to touch cum's or report cards any more. The office staff takes care of all of that for us :thumbsup2 We are blessed for them to do that. This year we are taking over the campus beside us so we have teachers moving everywhere. I am going from 8th to 7th so that means I had to move buildings. In all I think we had about 15 teachers moving classrooms today. It was very hectic. We started out the day in meetings. At 8:00 I was calling DR. since Joshua is not well and was able to get an appt. for 1:00. Well at 12:00 I went to do final things in the office and sign out, but could not find my keys. About 10 minutes later I found them locked in my car :headache: DH is out of town, the sitter is home with the kids (mainly Joshua), and I had to get Joshua to Dr. by 1 and that was not going to happen, and then I had to finalize church camp, so I had a little minor breakdown at school. People that had never seen me cry were all asking questions and the reply was always the same--I am just mad! (I hate that I cry when I get mad) At 2:00 my car was finally opened. Changed Joshuas appt. to tomorrow and finished up camp stuff. All is well now :thumbsup2

WE really like Flame Tree at AK, Columbia Harbor House in MK or Cosmic Rays. Epcot is Mexico or just snacking around the world (in France we get a ham croussaint and then a dessert). We hated the Land!! MGM is hit or miss--but we have done well I think at Backlot Express near Star Tours.
At DTD you can't beat Wolfgang Puck Express--it is by far the best if you are on the dining plan.

Belle-The only CS we did last trip was TSPP at MGM, Casey's at MK. We loved them both!!

Happy birthday Winkers!!!! :cool1: :cool1:

Happy Birthday Cherie!

(and I have to tell you my aunt Cheri, :rotfl2: everyone but me calls her "Cherie" But she spells it cherry (soft ch) SO why oh well...:confused3 I realized I call her cheri because that's who I know - we were so close for so long, but when she started demanding to be called "Cherie" I never got to know that person!! She did look awesome, and had a great wedding!! (I have things I can learn from her!!)

Thanks. Actually, I believe Elem. teachers are the saints.....I can barely deal with my own young children some days! I need kids once they have some reasoning skills of some sort! LOL!

Dawn
I'll take that saint patch today - those 5th graders were stinkers - what else tho when the classroom teacher is required to be in a meeting for half day - so they get busy work!! :confused3 why did I elect to work today??

CONGRATULATIONS - I am putting together a resume and hope to get back in it for '08/'09 school year - a district near here has 80 teachers retiring!! :scared1: SURELY they can use me?!! I am hoping the Superintendent-elect will write me a resume - she's letting me take summer workshop classes (UbD - ie Understanding by Design, 6 Traits Writing, and Bernstein Method!) It will help me sub, but hopefully punch up my resume!!

WELCOME BACK, LYNDA!!! We wuz gettin worried! We'll help ya undo all the damage from the trip. Don't worry. Will you posting the first installment tonight???
One more time for good measure since I was so late today!

WOOHOOTY Lynda - and I agree Melinda

Happy Birthday Cherie!! :dance3:

I am open to suggestions for counter service restaurants.:)

MGM - Backlot Express (near Indiana Jones and Star wars, but they dont always open, and you have to hit it before IJ lets out!)

MK - either Pecos place or Tomorrowland one - whichever is closer when you're hungry!!

EPCOT - downstairs by Soarin is an Awesome CS - but we usually are in World showcase and eat at Morracco, or China, or Japan...

Downtown Disney - Sandwich place... we use our extra CS tickets and get them to go - they've figured that out, and make the drinks fountain only, and desserts got slimmer if I remember correctly -

some of the resorts have good cS food too!!

Have fun, I cant wait till Sept!!

Update on the boy - it turns out he had a leaky valve... and the one teacher was relating how her grandson was born with a hole in his heart, but they discovered this genetic leaky valve (it has a name, I forgot it!) so the whole family 3 out 5 anyway had it and didnt know it (Mom, a sister, and a grandfather I think) The teacher said the boy had the same genetic heart condition!! Senator Obama made a speech on how our health care has become a "disease care" - from what I remember, your insurance covers you when you are sick, but more and more, its not covering testing or well visits - for instance Breast Cancer checks - a thourogh exam takes 15 min but doctors cant take longer than 4 - 7 minutes... I know, dont get me started!!

I've still not seen Pirates - none of them, but from my looks, I think Orlando is better looking, but I have no idea of his character, Jack Sparrow looks fun - and Johnny Depp has impressed me on how he's taking care of his daughter - now I never liked Brad Pitt, what goes around comes around, and it seems both he and Angelina have done some weird stuff... Jennifer Aniston, she does keep things private :confused3

Baby Fat???!! Sad to say, I'm carrying around so much fat I can no longer blame it on the 21, 19 or 10 year old babies!!

my dad has a bird - African Grey - it says "Papa, what the H...." and for some reason we cant get that phrase out of our system!! :rotfl2: Middle of the night a neighbor blew off fireworks - 2 or 3AM, after we peeled ourselves off the ceiling, there was a lot of the WTH?? and its all the birds fault!! :rotfl2:

I really should post some pictures!!

:bday: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, WINKERS!!!:bday: hope everything works out with your sister and the baby! i'll be thinking about you! :goodvibes

Thank you for the suggestions! Your food pictures looked really good by the way!:thumbsup2 I'm not sure if I am going to do a TR. I will have to see when I get back. I thought about at least doing a food review.

I would love to not have to do the records! I'm not sure how our jr. high does them. At the elem K-2 do the regular report cards that we fill out by hand. 3-5 do theirs on the computer. Moving buildings, Wow! I hope you didn't have to move too many boxes by yourself! Have you always taught jr.high?

Thank you for the CS suggestions.:) I have eaten at Mexico and it was really good. I like how there is seating by the water. Both you and Dawn have suggested Wolfgang Puck Express so I am thinking that is a must do!:thumbsup2

My husband's step-sister's husband lost his brother in a boating accident on the Ohio River this weekend. He was only 25 years-old. The accident occured Saturday night when he got his boat too close to a barge and the waves washed him and his family off the boat. The barge crew was able to pull his wife, 2 children and a cousin to safety but was unable to locate him. Last night his body was recovered several miles from the accident site. Please remember this family in your prayers. Also, two counties away from where we live a 19 year-old boy drowned in the Licking River. Please remember this family as well.
:sad1:

Pirates 3 ROCKED my socks! But, did y'all STAY past the credits?????? I didn't but Misty filled me in. :rolleyes1

The extreme close up of his nose pores or wadded up hair was sort of gross. The little Jacks (the good one and the bad one) bugged me a little too, BUT, he was crazy, so it worked.

WELL THERE WE HAVE IT!!!!!! POST NUMBER 4567!!!!!!! Woooo Hooooty!

I stayed past the credits! Twice! Yeah, I have already seen it two times. Once was on the trip, and once yesterday. I REALLY enjoyed it!!! :thumbsup2

One more time for good measure since I was so late today!

Uh, no. I kinda wish! I can't wait to start. I still have to load some pictures on the computer, upload them to my website, do lots of laundry, and start writing. We did get the pins mostly added to our pin books. ;) And I should be able to make progress with the pictures tonight, so I am hoping to post soon! We had agility class with Jasper tonight too. And this weekend, we are going to see Gwen Stefani in Indy, so it is crazy around here!

WELCOME HOME LYNDA!!! WE MISSED YOU!!! Did you just love OKW?

We liked OKW. Have you stayed there? There'll be a lot more info on that in my TR. For now, I will just say that it was not our favorite DVC resort.

We stayed there once a few years ago when we brought my MIL and BIL along with us. We had a 2 bedroom villa. The resort as a whole wasn't my favorite, but the rooms are my favorite on property. Huge rooms with huge balconies overlooking the golf course. I thought it was too spread out tho!
