And I blew off counting my WW points this past week and was up at weigh-in today. So I got one of the 3-month journals and am going to do better at tracking my food. I was SO close to 30 pounds

Cute, cute, cute!!!!!!!!!!! I bet it feels so much lighter for summer, too :goodvibes

Cheryl, sorry that you were up. Hope the journal helps!! And thanks, you made my night!

Geesh, we are thread kilers, aren't we, HKat?!!!

Must be because it's a good TV night :rolleyes1

Dene', what does your DD think of hunky trainer dude? (I just typed "dude" without the "e" on the end, LOL!!!) I think Jay is going to pay for eating all that grease :rotfl: I keep expecting you to tell us that your DD has started working out at the Y too, especially now that your weight is down.

Kaytlin (DD) says "he's cute to look at, but he's not my favorite channel... I mean I wouldn't just stare at him for hours"... she likes the rugged country boys... preferably with lots of livestock.:lmao:

Jay is not only my favorite channel... I even tivo that channel! :rolleyes1

We have 28 more school days. :woohoo:
Thank you! We are down to 13 days of school (plus I have an extra teacher day the day after Memorial day).

We have 12 more days with students (and one of those is a "play day")... then 2 days with just teachers (on a Friday, then the Tuesday after Memorial Day).

That makes me cry... seriously... I have clown feet, I am such an outrageous blob... and I can hear everyone laughing at me, like "you think you can run" umm no... and it was hot today... I did 2.54 miles in 35 min... but walked a bit - felt overheated... then when I started my wogging again, I felt so heavy, too heavy to be doing this crap.

You stop that right now! You are doing awesome! I COULD NOT DO WHAT YOU ARE DOING! YOU INSPIRE ME!
I have an after pic of my haircut:

How cute! :cutie:

I'm sure many here would agree with you, Dene'! :rotfl2:

And just have to say:

80 POUNDS!!!!!! WOOO HOOOOO!!!!!!!

GOOD MORNING, EVERYONE! :sunny:

I slept in again today. Been waking up in the night and thus catching up in the mornings.

RE: Meatless meals....I have been making whole wheat spaghetti and jar of sauce with a whole bag of frozen "fiesta" style veggies...broccoli, peppers, onions, beans, etc. It rocks! I make a huge batch and then divide it up in little Lean Cuisine size containers and take it to work for lunch. Try it!

Love the menus!
Tara....Ritz dino crackers?
Lynda...Have you given up dessert with breakfast?

Gots to get ready for work. I'll check back when I get there....another boring week at work this week!!!
:rolleyes1

HAVE A GREAT DAY! :flower3:
They are Ritz dinosaur shaped crackers..only 3.5g of fat for like 55 crackers. (I go by fat over calories..no clue why. Just works for me) I LOVE crackers, as you may have noticed, and real Ritz are too fatty. So these are great!!! :thumbsup2

I need help, Peeps! I am trying to research scales, so I can exchange mine before we leave for WDW, preferably before weigh in this week. I am looking at a couple of different ones, and I want to make sure I get one that is really accurate. The one I have was a Homedics one that was about $59 or $69. I am looking at a Tanika one that is $99! :scared1: It is glass and measures other things as well, like my current scale - body fat, calories needed to maintain, calories needed to lose, etc. And I am also looking at a WW Conair one that is about $49. I believe it was glass too, but I think it only gives weight. There was also another Homedics one, but I'm not sure I want to go with the same company again. I don't know. Anyway, I am having difficulty finding reviews or accuracy information on scales on the internet. Does anyone know where I might find something like this? :confused3 TIA Peeps! :)
This probably won't help but when I sold Avon there was one in the catalog for $50 that had your body fat % as well. My friend bought one and I never heard her say anything bad about it.

I am absolutely no help Lynda - my scale is the old fashioned, non electronic one! I googled Bathroom Scale + reviews - here's one site that popped up... http://www.martinrothonline.com/personalhealthmonitor/body_fat_monitors.htm

I am having a tough day, mentally physically. Its a hurdle I have to get over, but I do feel so overwhelmed. I was in too much pain yesterday, I walked instead of jogged.. and knew I had to bite the bullet and get shoes. (I've been running in $25 Sam's club reeboks) So I went to Sportmart - none in my size... I went on the internet, and with shipping it would be around $120... I went to the area Running Store, got fitted, examined, and came out with a $93 pair of New Balance - they are awesome... stabile for my pronating foot... etc.. but.. the hard part... they are size 12 :scared1: That makes me cry... seriously...
I'm proud of you!! You are exercising like a champ!! I wish I could keep up with you for only one week!! :goodvibes

On a different note, I tried Jergen's Natural Glow today. Has anyone ever tried that before? I am the palest person, so hopefully this will add a bit of color. It smells sort of nice, too.

I tried this last year for my friend's wedding and again for mine. I like the smell better then other self tanners BUT it didn't work as well. Ideally I think you need to do it twice a day which was too much work for me!! I have a whole tube and a 1/2 left. I can mail them to you if you end up loving them....if they aren't expired!! :rotfl:

Super slow day on this thread! I usually come home at 5pm to like 3 pages..I came on at 9pm to 2!!! I still can't see the d**n tickers!!

Here is my lovely meal plan for the day...
B-grape nuts cereal with skim milk and honey, light OJ
L-yogurt, canned pears, Hershey 100 cal. pack, water
S-dino crackers, apple, water
D-ziti, diet coke, cooked carrots, salad

I hope everyone is having a great night!! American Idol was disappointing. I was excited too b/c I love the Bee Gees!!! :woohoo:

Ok, 2.54 miles in 35 min? I can't even run 1 mile! Seriously. I'm pathetically out of shape. That is nothing to be ashamed of and if people are laughing at you (which I'm sure they're not), then poo on them. You're making your body better - what is laughing going to do? Ok, and you do not have clown feet! Here's my perspective on feet size. I'm 5'3. I wear a 7 1/2 or 8 and I think it looks proportional to my body. If I had a size 12 foot, I might look a little odd. Like I'm gonna tip over or something. But you're tall - I remember that. So a size 12 isn't all that bad! Also, do you have a wide foot perchance? My foot is on the wider side and I'm probably closer to a 7 in length but have to go up because of the width. Anyway, my point is, you do not have clown feet.

:cheer2: YOU"RE DOING GREAT! :cheer2:

Ok, and I :rotfl2: when I read the word "wogging". Sorry but it just sounded really funny to me.

Shannon, you have such a beautiful face. I like the long bangs idea. It will frame your face, but not detract from it. :thumbsup2

My problem is I have a long forehead. :lmao: So my bangs have to be either really long and swept off to the side, or just right above my eye brows. Any other way and it emphasizes my big head! LOL

BTW, I stayed the same last week, but it's because I'm retaining water. Now that I've been to the bathroom 500 times in the past 2 days, most of it's probably gone. But I decided not to weigh until I get back from Disneyland.

Aww, thanks! I'm a little nervous about the bangs because I know what I want but I'm concerned my stylist will cut wispy bangs or short bangs or something very not me. I want the trendy, chunky, long bang! I think I'll print out a few pics so her has a good idea of what I want.

Long day for me today. Wednesdays are the same. And I have a lot of school stuff to catch up on. I've been procrastinating and thinking I have a lot of time to get stuff done and suddenly I'm realizing that stuff is due soon! Yikes.

Hope everyone has had a great and skinny day!

P.S. Love the new bling, DENE!

Oh and I got my crocs in the mail today! I got the Caymans and Mary Janes. The Mary Janes fit pretty well. I think the Caymans may be small, compared to how most people wear their crocs, but they are still really comfy. And just wearing them around the house tonight, they felt looser so I think I'm going to keep them. Yay!

MouseHouseLover - Are you re- energizing yourself yet?? :grouphug:

Sort of, not exactly. I took most of last week off and the scale showed it on Mon... I had commited to getting back on the wagon this week so it wasn't hard. DH's back surgery is taking front seat around here..... He's not happy about it and is having a hard time admitting that he really needs it.

Work is still making me crazy. I'm almost counting hte days until I can quit. I can't start school right now, we don't have the funds for me to go. DH ok'd me taking out a small loan or putting it on a credit card if need be but I don't have that much available on the cards I have. We try to live close to debt free so none of our cards have high limits. All total, if we maxed out all our cards, we would owe about $2000. Anyway, I haven't completely given up on it, I'm hoping I'll get lucky and can pay for school and even though I don't like my job, school is at night so I could stay employed and not put our WDW trip at risk. If I get it together, I'll finish the week before we leave, so it would turn into a graduation celebration as well.

I feel like life's dragging me own right now so I'm holding onto and controlling as much as I can to create some sanity. I'll get through it, I always have.

<------------- Shamefully peaks in her head to see if it's safe-----------
Hi! Sorry for staying away for so long. Tommorrow is my last exam. I'll be free for a bit before the baby comes.
Just want to say hi and hope everyone is doing well. I promise to be around more.
You all look awesome!
Glad you peaked in! Good to see you!

You are actually, really doing this! I am so impressed! Please feel better!

I have done okay so far today, haven't eaten much. Mowed the lawn for 2 hours, including some 2' brush in the back... calories burned according to some charts I looked up, ~600.
L: cinnamon raisin bagel (140) w/ ff cream cheese (20)
S: 1oz 75% light sharp cheddar (60), 3 crackers (40).

Dinner, no idea. Likely something not very dietary, sigh.

Good news though, stepped on the scale this morning and am down to 194.6. That is a 1lb from Friday and the lowest that scale has said for a LONG time. Yeah, yeah, I know I shouldn't weigh every day...

On a different note, I tried Jergen's Natural Glow today. Has anyone ever tried that before? I am the palest person, so hopefully this will add a bit of color. It smells sort of nice, too.
Wow! Mowing is tough work! Great job!
dance, sorry about the moodiness. Sounds like DH deserved a bit of chewing out, though!

Since I feel like posting some more, I will. I feel today like I post too much and am a thread-killer, but oh well.

I have an after pic of my haircut:

I like the new hair! Cute!

Good luck getting everything done! I know you can!

Hang in there!
Not dense! Translation = "Thanks in advance" Peeps...
Thank you very much! I usually can sort out the meaning from context but I think I've seen that one a couple of times and just wasn't getting it! :rolleyes1

Ok..super strange. I went to tickerfactory.com and I can't see any tickers there either. Then I went to snugglepie.com and can't see theirs!! Nothing has changed in my settings....I don't understand what's going on!!! Any computer whiz kids out there? :headache:

Well, I got my new scale tonight! We'll see how it goes on Friday, I suppose. If I can remember, I will try it out in the morning. I went with the WW Conair one. I am mostly concerned with weight accuracy. And this model says it is supposed to be very accurate. The Tanika was appealing, but it apparently sends some electrical current through your body, and you aren't supposed to use if if you are pregnant. That made me a little nervous. Not planning to get pregnant anytime soon, but what if that changes, and why is it not safe for pregnant women, but it is OK for me? :confused3 PLUS, the Conair was cheaper, and DH was with me making that Haven't-we-spent-enough-money-right-before-leaving-for-WDW?-look. :rotfl: So, I'm hoping I got a good one!

And now, totals for today...

B: Fiber One w/ 1% milk & yogurt smoothie (230)
S: 12 buttered up almonds (80)
L: SBD southwestern chicken salad (240) light Activia yogurt (70)
S: 100 calorie kettle corn (100)
S: 1 Kashi pumpkin spice granola bar (90) Skinny Cow ice cream sandwich (140)
D: McDonald's southwest chicken salad (320 - I know I said I wasn't going to have it for lunch again this week, but this was dinner, and I didn't know we would be driving through somewhere for dinner until pretty much last minute. It worked, and it's tasty! :thumbsup2 )
S: carrots w/ ranch/salsa (135) & 100 calorie pack Hostess cupcakes (100)

TOTAL: 1505 calories & about 130 oz. of water

I am going to do a little time on the exercise ball too.

MHL, sending you a

Lynda, are the Kashi pumpkin spice granola bars pretty good? That is a decent calorie count. I finally tried the Fiber One chocolate/oats granola bar that was recommended on here today (sorry, can't remember who did that). Yum!

I also picked up some of the WW Lemon Dream bars, since I couldn't find the WW lemon cake at the store this week. They are a nice change from the fruit and nut ones I sometimes eat.

I tried the artificially sweetened Dannon raspberry yogurt last week and I couldn't stand it and had to throw it out. I'm going to try the strawberry one next. If I don't like that, I may try the artificially sweetened Activia yogurt. I usually eat the regular Activia or fruit on the bottom type. I need to find one that doesn't have that sweetener aftertaste. I don't get why I can chew artificially sweetened gum and it doesn't bother me, but I don't care for other things that have sucralose/Splenda in them.

Cheryl looks like we picked the thread up some!!

Thanks for all the compliments on the hair! It dries a lot faster now and feels like I lost 2 lbs on my head.

Lynda glad you got a new scale!

Eventer, go to your menu bar, then to Tools->Internet Options and click the "Delete Files" button. Click the "Delete Offline Files" checkbox and hit okay. This will clear your cache and may help your tickers show up.

MHL, sorry things are bad. Having a job you hate can really color your life.

AnnNan, yes, mowing is hard... esp when you let the brush get to 2' high! Click here for some backyard pics from the mowing and tree planting of 2 weeks back (planted 16 trees), if anyone is bored.

I have been doing okay on lunches but dinners are out the window. Tonight was a blue cheese burger w/ fries and a beer. Oh well.

Tomorrow I play hockey so I will do two LC type meals for lunch and dinner.

Thursday is a go-in-early and come home, pack, head to bed at around 7 so that we can get up at 3 and DRIVE TO THE WORLD!!!

GOOD MORNING! :sunny:

We have been going to bed very late lately and just can't get up early like I could when I was going to bed at 8pm. Sorry, peeps!

Did a quick catch up...forgot to quote....a few shout outs....

MONICA! In the house!?! We miss you, sister! Come back when you can stay longer!

SANDY....Quit talking bad about one of my favorite peeps...YOU! Your feet are perfect and God don't make no junk. (1Timothy 4:4...The Melinda Translation)

KAT....Love the hair!

DENE....80 pounds?!! Since January? YOU ROCK!!!

NONI....Hang in there, sweetie!

MOO, ANN NAN, SHANNON, PRINCESS, MJ, LYNDA, TARA... :wave2:

FIDGE!!!! Don't make me come over there! Come out!

Have a great day, everyone! :flower3:

Thanks for the tip Kat but no such luck. Although I have Vista and there isn't a "delete offline files" persay, it just says "delete files." So I did that. It said they were temp. int. files. Oh well. I guess I don't need to see my tickers..I would like to see other peoples though!!

I hope everyone has a nice day. I put on a pair of my capris for the first time since Aug. If anything they feel tight..I wonder if I gained all my weight last fall. Plus they are reg. rise and I hate that..they feel horrible and I will probably change. Ugh. I said WAY back that I hate shorts...I would be content in my loose khakis all summer just b/c they are comfortable.

Enough complaing..Happy Over the Hump Day! :woohoo:

Eventar - I see your tickers - I cant see the post count on the first page of any Dis page - I always have to go to page one, then click on "Last" quite annoying let me tell you!!

Kat - Love the picture - and you make me giggle with your food choice - I can just see you suiting up to take it out on the ice - I know you will sweat it off!!

Melinda... :goodvibes

Dene such pretty bling - and you made me giggle with your comments on your dd and hunkytrainerdude - I think she's just trying to convince you to let her come to those bbq parties - nuhuh dont do it!! ;)

Noni  You've got a lot going on - take it slow, my favorite verse.. "Be Still" it sums it up, be still and know that I am God, just Be Still is hard enough dontcha think?

Nan  16 trees!! That's work!! do you have any suggestions on how to get rid of bull thistle? Truly annoying sticker bushes? I'm going to poison them again - I hit them with weedBgon and it killed the grass, but bull thistle is back!

Lynda How you can wait to try out the scale is beyond me! You have some strong willpower! and you are making me hungry for 100 calorie paks!

Cheryl I HATE yogurt, but for some reason I really really love the "Yoplait Thick and Creamy" 100 Calorie (OK so the thick and creamy regular carmel is to die for, but I throw the 100 calorie THICK AND CREAMY into a blender and add strawberries and juice for a smoothie yum...) Thick and Creamy does creep some out as it has a geletin to make it thick and creamy - to me it tastes nothing like yogurt so I love, love LOVE it!!

HSN has the signature A face cream I love(5 essentials cream good for dry areas, and under eye area, its a rich smooth silky face cream) - $24 for TWO!! and free shipping code C76198

To all my cheerleaders really y'all overwhelmed me. I really needed to vent. Its my own fault that I am depressed (for lack of a better word) and I know I can come here and vent (whine) and I dont want to appear (looking for a word here,needy... whiney, fishing for compliments - none of those are the word I'm looking for...) Truly, I will have to have DD take a pic of me - I am no spring chicken, I am no skinny minnie - I am a fat girl movin blubber (of my own making) up and down, poundin the pavement - trying to get to Disney in Jan '08... Dene you really make me smile - its your dedication to you that motivates me, if you can stand there at an ellipitical for an hour... well, I'm thinking maybe I ought to invest in a trainer...

DH worked another shift (till 4AM) I love to tease him about his mistress - its good to hear him laugh, and then tell the others... but I am so spoiled - dh does daughter duty - he gets her up, he gets her motivated to dress, he makes her lunch, he gets her breakfast, he drives her to school *sigh... its time to get back here DH!! (plus I am not sleeping! I've been up since 4 am went to bed at 1am)

Good Morning!

So, my AAA TA called last night and said the tickets for MVMCP aren't on sale until May 15th!:sad1: The info on the home page here said they were on sale! I am bummed, but will call them back on the 15th. I'll also make an ADR for Chef Mickey's for breakfast on Nov 14th, the only ADR I need to make. I am trying to make an itinerary for the trip, but need the others input. I would like it better if I could just do it and that would be that! Oh well!

Dene...80 lbs!!! You Rock!!! :cool1:

OK, off to get ready for work. Have a great day Peeps! :goodvibes

BEE-utiful BEE Where are you??? Is it time to cheer for YOU??? Send an attack dog to make the lurkers leave you the heck alone???

Fidge waz up??? Does your DH still have his job??? I know he's making priorities - and wdw and you 2 alone sounded like one of the best!!

:hippie: Lets all try and get Bee to come out and play!! :wizard:
