Oh amy - :grouphug: we're all waiting on miracles... like Tinkerbelle, we do :grouphug: believe!!

Winkers - that's my aunts name - :rotfl2: see her mom named her Cheri (sher -ee - like the fruit cherry - but softer ch sound!) then one day she came home from school and announced her name is Cherie ( Che ree - ie French pronunciation) and we've all been sayin it wrong... :sad2: oh please - but everyone bowed to her wishes BUT ME.. :rotfl2: golly I'm a stinker.. then when they moved to Arkansas she announced her name was "Gidget" (yes, like the movie/tv show) because she was petite (and you can imagine the look she gave me!! I was truly an ugly gangly all legs TALL person!!) yeah sure, whatever... :rotfl2: To this day whenever anyone calls her house, they always know how long we've known their mom by the "Hello, is _____ there!! " Her sisters call her back and forth between the french version and her mom's pronunciation!!

and that's where we're going for the weekend - her youngest is getting married (he's a year younger than my oldest!) Our cars all need mechanical fixin - 1 car got the license renewed - and it smells like gasoline (is there a leak, probably!) the van, 2003 - it cracks on the front right wheel when you turn it a certain way, and then the oldest Ford, standard transmission had to have a new muffler $400 (and I'm sure that's the blue book value of that car!)

I hope to make a payment on our Sept Disney trip - but dh is paying off our '08 marathon trip!! But I did get our plane tickets 3 round trip tickets just under $600!! :scared1: (considering the website has them for $300 a piece, its all good!)

We just got back from the Dr. and Rachel is having her adnoids and tonsils out on June 8.I hope she can sleep better when this is done.We have been home for two days because she has strep throat,I hope the rest of the kids don't catch it.I am going to try to get her to eat something, she has lost three lbs in the last three weeks.

:grouphug: Hope it all works out - and things settle down, you must be a wreck - stay far away from the chocolate, get a journal and start writing, write poems, write vents - believe in yourself, this is going to pass - try real reall hard not to focus on money - stay focused on your relationships!! :grouphug:

and I've got to say it... "YOU NAUGHTY GIRL YOU!!" :rotfl2: 15 :scared1: When I get real wordy next - I should tell you about the guy that tried to stick his tongue in my mouth! (at 15 - he was older!! 21 I think - it was all my aunt's fault!!) :rotfl2: (on 2nd thought use your imagination, it will make a better story!! :rotfl2: )

when i was in college i was the office assistant for kenny rogers productions in hendersonville (close to nashville), tennessee. basically it was the office for his accountant, the person who made all the travel arrangements for his tours and his fan club headquarters. i answered the phone and made copies and ran errands and stuff. and i did certain things to pictures that involved a sharpie that i can give no more specifics on without the risk of being sued! :lmao:

get this - my schedule when i worked there was as follows:
monday, wednesday & friday - i worked at kenny rogers productions from 9:00 to 5:00 and then i'd have the night off to study.
tuesday and thursday - i'd go to class from 8:00 in the morning til 5:00 at night, then i'd wait tables at night.
saturday - i'd wait tables at night.
sunday - i'd wait tables during the day.

:scared1:

no wonder i stayed so skinny!!!!!!!! i could never have a schedule like that now.

I used to love Kenny Rogers, one of my dad's best friends did look like him (so much whenever we'd go out to fairs/festivals/etc he'd get stopped all the time!!) Well then he ups and divorces his wife, and that was it for me - I fell out of love for him!! ( I mean really, I remember the one present she gave him one year was photography classes etc)

Sorry Aaron, can we call you Aaron, WI_Disneyfan??. Maybe it's because you're the "thread hunk", I must comment!

Wendy - I was thinking the same things!! Esp about Monty Python - dh and I are big Monty Python fans - did y'all watch the tv show??? and I wonder what Jo's take is on that!!!

All right - who's keeping score??? I have 29 names on my list now -

and I'm counting Harley, Sparkie, Jeriber, Fidge, Aldisney ( ) Bee, DisneyFreak (Lynda) MonyMony(monica) Minnie Moo - HockeyKat (who else hasnt checked in?? I know I'm going to regret making the list...)

:rotfl: Now you have me wondering what sorts of freaky things Kenny Rogers was up to that you have to black out with a Sharpie! (unless you are talking about autographs, but that is less exciting!)

Add me to the Dont Give up camp. You have some time to figure it out. Think outside the box. Are there other ways to help supplement the income for right now? I know I sold a ton of DD's outgrown stuff at a consignment sale and made a bunch of cash. Yard sale? Surveys for money? Babysitting gigs? Selling a kidney or first born child? Pretty much every penny I have made outside of my normal income goes to my Disney trip. I figure it to be 'extra' money because we werent counting on it.

Exciting news for me!!!
Just got a call from my Dr and he said they got the letter back from my insurance company....my :jumping3: :jumping3: reduction has been approved!!! I seriously cant believe it. Both Drs I met said they normally decline it the first time, and I got it approved right away. I must be pretty bad off, huh?! I can schedule it anytime now, I have to pay my deductible and they pay 70%. The other 30% I pay after the surgery. Halleluia! The best part is that I can get it done and healed before Sept because I got is approved so fast!! (I was afraid they wouldnt give me final approval until August or something) My sister is getting married the last Friday in June, so I will do it in early JULY! A new and improved, pain free perky :jumping3: :jumping3: me will be at the World in Sept.

And I realize this may not be exciting to some of you, and not exactly diet related...but I will be losing weight from it ;) I have been suffering snce I was 15, so this is amazing for me to look forward to.

Sandy, When I read the first line I thought you meant your aunts name is winkers! I'm used to very few people pronouncing my name right. I've given up. As long as they don't call me Cherry, I will answer. I was named after my aunt who is Lila Cherie, where my grandparents came up with it I have no idea! If they were french I could understand, but nope they named all their daughters unusual names for the time. But now I like it because generally if I hear my name I know they're talking to me.

Ok, your aunt was an adult when she decided to be called gidget????

Question, can you donate the extra to us less "fortunate"? (See, I have a "friend" ;) )

So happy for you!!!! Especially the extra free weight loss :rolleyes1

I have been saving every cent that I could and doing the consignment sales and all but it is all about to be sucked into this transmission. The main problem we have other than that is that my boys are both playing in World Series tournaments in Florida in July-one the first week and the second the last week.We are sharing condos but is still going to cost about $800.:scared: We can't back out of that so I am sorta stuck.Okay enough whining I have to go convince Rachel that eating is a necessity....

It is probably obvious but what are the numbers after our names?

I am going to tell Dragonfly to check in-I have barely seen her lately. This is her busy time at work.

i'm not a big sausage person. i can take it or leave it really. the one time i tried a brat i was camping with some friends and the guy had grilled them. i don't know what kind they were though. i definitely forgot my southern girl manners and spit it out on the ground! :lmao:
I hate sausage as well...although I do like breakfast sausage. We have a package of J.Ville brauts in the freezer. Eww! And way too high in fat for me! They would also bring on ED for sure!! :lmao:
I have really enjoyed everyone's answers to the questions.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I hope you take Melinda's advice..wait until the last minute to cancel. You just never know what will happen.

OK, first Disney trip back in the 80's sometime. Went to daytona beach first...we stayed in the Aloha Motel :rotfl: I got a HORRIBLE sunburn, and I never burn, so I had to stay inside for a whole day in the hotel. Then stay covered up the rest the week. We went to a tourist trap there called Xanadu, house of the future. Anyone else ever go there? For some reason I still remember it....it looked like an igloo or something from the outside and had cool gadgets in the house itself. Then it was on to Disney. All I truly remember is waiting in long lines and it being very hot. And of course, my Goofy Hat, which I still have! This is my sister and myself on that trip...no clue where the horse was we were standing by!

Congrtas to you . that is awesome for you i wish i could have mine lifted so they are in the right spot.:rotfl: :rotfl:

Hey I am here. Tough time. Friends of ours lost their 18 month old daughter on Saturday. Got run over by a car. I am just not me. Hug your kids today and tell them you love them.

We went to the funeral home and boy, that was hard.

Please add Scott and Missy and their family to your prayers.

OH Monica, that is so sad - I do lift them up in prayer - and I'll hug mine a little tighter, and thank God tonight...

The numbers by your name - that is how many times you've posted on this thread - all you do is on the main WISH page - where it says on the far right how many posts are on this page (not how many people have opened the thread) click on that huge number - and a box pops up with all our names, and next to your name is the number of posts you have - and so now the numbers should've changed... :rolleyes1

Sorry to confuse you Winkers ;) My aunt is 2 years older than me - my dad's youngest sister, so we spent summers together - her father retired when she was 14 or 15, so she decided she was gidget around age 13 I think... and I love the sound of Cherie, it was her "attitude" I wasnt going to bow down too... :rotfl2: Like I noted, I am a stinker!!

oops I did it again, trying to make a sauce, you have to let it reduce by half, and I'm impatient... and it burned the first time.... gotta eat.........
