I'm in the same boat right now. I've lost a pants size, so all of my work pants and jeans are really baggy. I have like three pairs of khakis that I wear to work, all the same type. (When I find something that looks good on me, I load up!) They don't have a button, but rather a metal latch thing. The problem is when I cinch up my belt, this latch thing slips out and I am basically walking around with only my belt and my zipper keeping my pants on. And my jeans, oy. I look like a slob in them now. We were out shopping last weekend, and I found a pair of jeans that I loved at either the Tommy Hilfiger or Old Navy outlet store. They fit great, but then I realized that with summer coming, I only wear jeans once a week for casual Friday at work. And what if i drop another size or two by the end of summer? That would be $35 for pants I would only feel comfortable in 5 or 6 times. Not worth it.
Well, the move itself was interesting. By our 13th straight hour of moving last week Sunday (4/22), we were really being short with each other. And we had some tense moments Monday and Tuesday finishing up. But we got through it ok. Living with our parents has been interesting, but we are starting to get into a routine. Both of our parents have been giving us plenty of space, which is much appreciated. And we are planning a weekend getaway the beginning of June just to be alone for a while. But this whole experience really makes me appreciate having a place of our own. So I think I am going to enjoy that new home that much more once we get to move in.
Me too! Most of my pants are held on with a big safety pin!!!! I should just go to a thrift store and get some in a smaller size to tide me over.
Nothing more stressful than moving!!!! Hang in there!
