I am at war!
With my scale!
Ok, I have had about 10 pooh-muffins today!
And about 1 gallon of water. (I did have diet pepsi at Costco out of habit, ooops)

!

I have one word for you, well I guess it's two, Holy Crap!!!:lmao:

woo hooty on free dining!!! I'm so there!!

and yay I just got a email from my friend in the sandbox... everyone is ok!

My world has changed.

Last night the police came to our door to tell us the neighbor girl (I think she is 15) was almost snatched by a stranger - (a tall man wearing a hoodie) she grabbed a skateboard and hit him and ran! she got away...

So, of course you read the paper about the kids that are taken, but I know that the danger is more from within families (I am a survivor from a family member) and I am more of a "hovering mom" but I have tried to let them go across the street, or two doors down... by themselves, w/o me watching... every now and again I do watch.. and never at a dark time! Because if its dark she calls and we come to get her( we live at a cross street - the top of a T where the top is a main street, the bottom of the T is a cul de sac, and there are kids from school in the cul de sac... I can hear her in summer playing in their backyards...

But last night my world changed.

Sorry. that's so scary! Any chance the girl made it up? We've had a lot of that here lately. No point in taking chances though.

I was referd to as paranoid and received a PM stating what a nut I am!!! See I am an oddball thinking that would not be a safe or smart move for many countless reasons!

We just let our kids head off alone at WDW for the first time last summer, and DS was 18! When we went when the kids were 15 and 13, we let them stay in the room and watch our friend's 11 y.o. while we went out to dinner in the hotel, and even then, I said, "If someone knocks on the door, even if they say they work for the hotel, don't open the door. Call my cell, and I'll be right up." At home, however, I let them walk home from school (1.5 miles) when they were 13.

Yep 12 people are chosen to represent the 12 disciples, afterwards I asked Jess if it was OK she said yes but there was a lot of sock fluff in the cleaning bowl :lmao:

Gross, but it could be worse!

I am making my grocery list. I am looking to stock up on some low cal things. Can anyone share some of their favorite "food finds"?

Right now I am loving  Fiber One Chocolate Granola Bars.

Skinny Cow peanut butter and chocolate ice cream sandwiches, Orville Redenbacher smart Pop Kettle Corn, Sarah Lee Delightful whole grain bread, Kashi Good Friends with frozen berries, and last night I had the WW Chicken santa Fe entree that was only 2 pts! Not the best dinner ever, but great when you've been hitting the bunny ears.

Tonight I had Green Giant broccoli and cheese sauce; 50 calories a cup. I also had a salad and some All-Bran crackers. I'm really hoping it clears out all the junk I've been eating.

I forgot the quote, (I know it started with Jo) but foot washing on Holy Thursday is traditional in many churches. I even joked with a supervisor once who was really into the servant leadership thing, and i asked him when he was going to come to my branch and wash all of our feet.

Hello Everyone,

Well, why am I up so early? Yesterday, my father had his second heart attack in 3 years. I did not know until after he had surgery. When I got home from work I found out. So, I went to the hospital and their he lie. He looks so old. For the first ime in my life I realized just how old my father is looking. He looked so small in his bed. My husband met me there and he gave me such support. It was nice to see that he came. I am grateful. They love each other, I would never want to destroy that. I was glad to have some emotional support. My brother was out of town so, I would have been alone. (Thank you Dan I am forever thankful.)

The heart doctor said he is in renal failure. I then came home to get some much needed rest and was called to let me know he is now in ICU. They are trying to get his blood pressure stable.

I just spoke to the nurses and they think that the renal failure may fix it self. We are now just waiting to see if that happens. So, please pray for my family once again. He really is a great man, I would miss him dearly.

Oh, and ya know I have been very concerned with work with everything that is going on. Well, I wasnt sure how my boss likes me and I have had some distraction issues at work. So, I have been worried that my boss really didnt like me. Well. we have had some heart to heart talks and on her way out yesterday, she gave me her cell number in case I needed anything. WOW, that is huge. I will not abuse that, but WOW. She seems to be an all business type of person, and other people have said to me what a HARD person she is, but again WOW. (hmmmm do I seem surprised with her kindness.:rotfl2: )

Anyway, MY PEEPS have always been so wonderful to me and my family and I know that you will all be offering prayers. So thank you in advance.

Much love from me.... Again, thanks for everything!

B

I lost 2.5 pds!!! You guys were right...I did weigh a ton less this AM. Like 7 pds less! And between getting up and taking a shower (20 min. span) I lost another 3 pds. Weird but I'll take it!!! :goodvibes Hey..I get a ribbon too!!

I just got the scale as a bridal shower gift and it's the only one we have ever used. But as you can see from above I must just weigh more at night. No more sneek peeks. I will only weigh myself Fri AM's after my shower!! :rotfl:

HAPPY GOOD FRIDAY WEIGH-IN DAY!!! :sunny:

I am going to book for the last week in Septmeber and pray no hurricanse.
YAY, Fidge!!! That's the week I'm going, God willing. We are booked at POR. I have not stayed at CSR but I hear good things! Prayers your DBIL will go for it. AND FREE DINING! (Don't forget to mention the free food to DBIL!!!!) Make those ADRs!
one of my flower girls was my best friend's 18-month-old (who's now 6 :scared1: )
My DD17 was supposed to be the flower girl at DSIL's wedding when she was 2 and she threw an absolute tantrum at the rehearsal. DBIL told me she would be a late scratch on the program. She did get to be in the pictures since she already had the dress!
I just complained to DF about the mysterious weight gain and he said he often weighs 5 pds more at night.
 I never weigh at night! Only first thing in the morning after dry and nekkid after several cups of HOT coffee if you KWIM.
argh - what a day! my whole family went on vacation and all I got was to clean the house!
This is what I do every time I'm home alone! What's wrong with us? :lmao: on the headlights!
TOTAL: 1520 calories & about 150 oz. of water
That all looks delish. Lynda...I had the best salad yesterday...AT TARGET! I KNOW! It was romaine, walnuts, dried cherries, chicken breast, and a tiny itty bit of feta with poppyseed dressing. So good it was surely not low in calories. ;)
Can anyone share some of their favorite "food finds"?
I add flax seed meal to up my fiber count plus it does all sorts of great things for your health. I also keep dark chocolate kisses in the house in case I'm craving chocolate. Just make sure you get rid of the things in the house that you can't resist and eat too much of. (for me that's cheez-its)
I tried the Hostess 100 cal. snack cakes but they are dry.
I'm with you on the 100 calorie packs. Give me just one REAL thing....one oreo or whatever as opposed to 12 little dry fakey ones.
Jello ff/sf pudding, ff or sf Cool Whip, SBD oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, apples w/ reduced fat peanut butter, whole grain frozen waffles, WW chocolate, lemon, or carrot cakes, WW sherbet/ice cream bars, no sugar added fudgesicles, light Activia yogurt, Dannon Light n Fit yogurt smoothies, Gardenburgers, ff Kraft singles (in sharp cheddar and swiss!), 2% string cheese, 2% sharp cheddar sticks, almonds, craisins, tuna, turkey, chicken breasts, various seafood, spinach, veggies w/ ff ranch dressing, salad spritzer dressings, Fiber One cereal, weight control oatmeal (I love it in maple brown sugar!), Quaker mini rice cake snacks (especially caramel & cheddar), I could go on and on. Hope that helps! :)
Great list!!! :thumbsup2

Oh, Bee! I'll be praying for your dad. Keep us updated!

HAVE A FABULOUS GOOD FRIDAY, PEEPS!

no time to catch up now. my internet's being funny this morning and i've struggled to even get on here to post my weight. i'll play catchup later!

but i am -2 pounds! i'll take it for sure (especially since AF is here)!

everyone have a good good friday! i'm off to court......later taters!

+ 1.4 lbs

:sad2: I'm disappointed of course, but I did it to myself. Did not follow the program at all. I'm already in vacation mode and its a week away. Ok, but also I've been feeling pretty crappy this week too, physically and I have no doubt it was all the junk I put back in my trunk. I feel as though I gained 15 lbs, not 1.4. So that was all the motivation I needed. Today is a fresh start, a new week. I'm going to lose that 1.4 and then some this week.

Bee - Prayers,, and pixiedust: for your father. And take some for you as well.

Just a quick fly-by post to record a 1.5 pound loss for this week. That brings me up to 19.5 pounds lost since the first of the year.

Congratulations to all of the losers, and keep up the hard work to the samers and gainers!

Congrat WI Disney fan! I don't think we have met but I love Wisconsin!

Ok. I am down 1 lb.
Only 1 more to go to regain my lovely 15 lb ribbon.

I can not believe it is Easter! I started this journey right before Halloween. It is so empowering to be sucessful during the holidays.

Skinny thoughts to you all!

Morning all I am sadly happy to report I am a SAMER! I am relieved however after the week I have had lots of old poor eatting habits and my diefiance to water returned no matter how hard UM tried to reel me in to her H2O. I falied!

I had hoped to stay well focused to get odwn 5 more prior to my dpearture but sadly it just was not to be!

Anyway, is it me or does the shot of Marueen McCormack from Brady Bunch look much bigger than 150 I know she is 5 foot 3 but come on please tell me her scale is wrong otherwise things are much worse here than I think!

Good Morning Peeps!

Just reporting in from campus to say that I have gained almost 1 pound. Very disappointing but I did it to myself. For the last 2 weeks, I've been stressing over taking pictures at a friend's wedding. Last night was the wedding and now that is behind me but I've got to help host a wedding shower for another friend tonight. Can't you tell that Spring is here and love is in the air. I haven't made very good food choices this week (Applebees last night) and have not consumed nearly enough water. Also, the kids have been home this week because of spring break and I haven't been able to walk like I normally do. My goal for next week is to walk 10 miles, eat healthy, drink plenty of water and get some exercise in. Have a great day everyone. Post some big numbers. :thumbsup2

Fran

BEE, your dad and you will be in my prayers.

Tried to catch up - just too many pages in the past 2 days- so I'm just jumping in.

I lost 1 Yea! Yea! I'm really excited. I know its only a total of 3 but I have had to work hard.

I still am having trouble dodging the fast food magnets- Its especially hard since I'm not home 4 nights a week to cook- we are at dance classes and its a 40 min drive home and then I have to get ready for work- night shift. So grabbing dinner on the way home is easy. plus- shhhh! I dont really like to cook either- I like good food but I dont like the cooking or the cleaning up part about it. I only have a few things I make well that my family really likes- i've tried new stuff- but lets just say- I cant cook like my mama.

Any suggestions? For the fast food problem or the lack of cooking expertise?

Gotta go to bed! Nitey Nite

Ok! There's going to be free dining on the 12th. Do any of you want to plan a meet for September??? I think the last day of free dining will be Sept. 22. I want to go to the "Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party" that starts like on the 15th ish.

Aries? Any Thoughts? Anyone????? :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: I think Sept. 12-19th for us....MY BIG 4-0!!!!!!

I know we'll have to have 2 rooms at POP. That's all I'm sure of at this point.
We wont be able to go in January...we cant do it without the free dining. We are too cheap ;) .
