Hi All-

My New 'friend' Punkin led me here. I will have to admit that I have not read all 600+ pages, just the first few and the last 10 or so. I also see my pal Jo is here!

Do I have to do a 'pledge' or something to join...

I, as all of you need some support! I have been battling the rolls, since my birth-mother shoved sugar and junk down my throat, so she wouldn't eat it.

I am currently choosing to try the South Beach, however I have cheated...just a bit... Which leads me to why I need YOU! PLEASE, preetty please can I join

I will not tell how much I need to loose...but I want to start with 50! Yep...that is first reasonable goal. I think from there, it will get tougher...I have always heard that the closer you get, the tougher it is...

Well this time I need it off FOREVER! I need to do this for me...but most importantly, my family! My kids, need me for along time...I am not healthy where I am today! I love them more than life itself and need to prove that they are more important to me, than any food item which I can place in my mouth.


I am addicted to Carbs! The sweet version, mostly...

Okay....breath...I just admited it...I typed it and I am not deleting it...it's out...there is no going back!

Today is the big day to see what this little peep is all about! Will it be a little girly girl ? Will it be a little handsome boy ? 2 more hours to go! I've prayed so hard for a healthy baby and wishing for......more pink clothes!

Honestly I've tried not to think about it too much cause you just never know what He has in His plans.

In case anyone missed me, I am still hanging around reading just not much time to post the past few days. Hugs and pixie dust to all that need it, welcome to our newbies and happy weigh in eve to everyone! I am trying to find a new nanny job so I havent had much time to hang out here

Food has been ok this week, exercise has been marginal I guess. Not hoping for huge numbers this week since I lost so much last week. Anything will do for me! I changed some of the medications I am taking this week too and it has caused a 'back up' so to speak, fun huh? I need to break out the muffins I think.

and I can only imagine your excitement, cant wait for the pictures!! I did have something silly to say - but I've forgotten now - have you tried any of the old wives tales? (you know adding some urine to drano, the dangling of the ring etc?? How about at conception? I bought a book,"How to increase your odds at determining sex of baby"... but when the time came... it was sheer God's will at conception!) we did a few of the old wives tales... GOOD LUCK!"

i remember when i was 10 years old and my stepmom was pregnant with my little brother and she did the drano thing. from what i remember of what she told me, she peed in a cup of drano and if the drano turned orange or yellowish it was a girl and if it turned greenish it was a boy. it turned greenish and she did have a boy. but to me, wouldn't it turn green anyway? don't yellow (the pee) and blue (the drano) make green? just remember that i was 10 years old when this happened so that may not be completely accurate - it was 20 years ago!

For those hoping for free dining this year I saw a post on the codes and rates board that it is going to be for sure happening. You can start booking on 4/12-6/24 for travel from 8/26 to 9/22

Old Wives Tales...

Get CRYSTAL Drano...make sure it is CRYSTAL! Take the mother to be's first morning urine. GO OUTSIDE!!! trust me on this 1...this is going to smell bad.
pour the crystal drano in a container--not plastic.pour in morning urine--while it is still a normal temperature.Don't soak the drano crystals, just enough to wet them.if the crystals turn a pretty bluish green you got a girl if the crystals turn brown you got a boy. If you're far enough along to know you're pregnant, you're far enough along to take this test.But, if the crystals are a mix of colors, try the test again in about a week and a half.

why its Old wives tale - is easy to see, not all babies born on that day were male... or female... but still its freaky when you put in the dates of your current kids and 2 out of 3 are correct! (I should've had 1 boy 2 girls!!)

It breaks my heart we're not going... but last night they did the hurricane prediction, and its high - which it was 2 years ago, and they have not had hurricanes for 4 years -

still I would consider some kind of travel insurance - or make sure you know what Disney policy is (very accomadating imho!!) Its that we suffered on a plane for over 9 hours due to mere thunderstorms!! Couldnt get off, dd gets sick... it was horrible!!

but if you do decide to reveal that secret number, just know that no one here will judge you. this is the first place i've been able to admit i weighed 158 pounds. now that may not seem like a lot to some of you, but i'm only 30 and i've never had kids and i'm only 5'3", so i should not weigh that much. my goal is 130, but i'll be happy with 135.

Not only do we share similiar b-days we are close in weight! (Is that good or bad? ) I am 5'3 as well and currently close to your weight so I feel your pain. My dad says I am skinny but we all know parents are supposed to say that! I know what I used to weigh and how much I have gained. Plus, like you said, I haven't even had kids yet!! I would like to get the weight off now before all that craziness. Anyway, just wanted to let you know you have a kindred spirit over here.

I have to say... I resemble that remark (IE I can be/am a doofus... just ask my kids!!

Anybody planning on going to a Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Release Party July 21??

I'm seriously considering it, altho we have to pay "rack rate" for the book, in previous years I"ve gotten it at walMart or Target much cheaper than list price - and the stores open way early just for this!!

DD and I discuss the will she/wont she aspect of JK killing off Harry - highly likely imho - since it would mirror what his mother did to save Harry, Harry would do it to save his friends - and we know JK wrote the last chapter when she wrote her first chapter... she killed Dumbledore - she'll kill Harry... and just think what all the millions of children will do? BUT it will effectively end the series...

again, just pure and complete speculation... lots of debate, discussion around here, I was curious about anyone else!

Sandy.....DD17 always goes to the release parties. She went last time with DBF to the BIG party at the BIG bookstore.....then went to the Meijer store next door for the book at midnight. Anyway....I'm with you....I think it's highly likely that Harry will get finished off in the last book....which would be so sad in my opinion. I always like to see good win over evil. If Harry goes down I hope "he who cannot be named" will go down with him.

So....I finally went to the ENT Dr. today about a ringing in my ear...feels like it's full of cotton. Turns out I have mild to serious hearing loss in that ear. (Depends on the fequency level as to what I can hear.) Anyway, I have to go for an MRI on Monday to rule out a benign growth on my auditory nerve. Other than that, the hearing loss has probably been caused by a virus and nothing can be done....short of a hearing aid which can restore my hearing to nearly 100%.

Prayer Request....no benign growth. Thanks!

Melinda - Sorry to hear about your hearing! When did you realize you were having problems? I pray the MRI goes well. I had one today. I woke up with a severe headache again. So DH took me to Immediate Care. The dr. wanted me to have an MRI and MRA. That process took all day! The MRI took about 45 minutes. I slept through most of it.

Monica - So, is it a girl or a boy? Has she posted yet?
