Here I am... so now ya know what I look like.

We would never forget you! Glad to see your smiling face! :cutie: Please come by more often. How is the job going?

JO - Congrats on getting in to the school you wanted without having to fight for it! :cool1: :thumbsup2 Glad to hear the good news about baby Oliver! Give him a big kiss from a loving peep over here in Alabama! puckerup:

Shannon - Great job on your paper! Wishing you best of luck. That was amazing to get that done on such short notice. I'll keep you and your dad in my prayers.

Just had to tell you all I got a letter today from the Church School (our first choice secondary) to say they are offering Jessica a place :cool1: I've finally come down from the ceiling and finished phoning everyone :rotfl2: and had to tell my peeps :thumbsup2 I am so relieved we now don't have to go to any appeals which means no stress

Shannon you can do it, and you can do it well :thumbsup2
COngratulations! What a relief!!!
Thanks Lynda!

Where have I been?

Well, I just helped play a massive joke on a vacationing friend from the Open Mike thread. We play jokes on each other so when they come back, there's some practical joke waiting for them.

Somehow me, Twinkie and HaleyB (remember her?) convinced nearly an entire thread of peeps to get new user names!!!!!! :upsidedow

Then, alot of us with our new user names, went over to the games threads and racked up our post counts. We all got new avatars, siggies, and even sparkley bling names! Several of us had well over 600 posts by the time the jokee got back!!!!!!!

This is a very detailed joke. Elaborate hoax even! We had some that didn't change their name just to play along like there's nothing out of the ordinary.

There were over a dozen new users on this person's "home-thread" when he got back! ALL of them had cracker names! I was CheeseNips! :cool2:

Is it safe to assume that WHeat thins was the DISer on vaca?

Lynda was right! You get an A for reading and paying attention ;) . I did finish the proposal last night and met with my supervisor this afternoon.

And he LOVED it! In the middle of reading it, he stopped and said "shannon, this is really good". I am confident in my writing, but I was just really unsure what it was supposed to look like and what to include, ya know? I just have to make a few minor changes and submit online by tonight.

Bad news now. My dad called this morning with a cancer update. He just had another PET Scan done and received the results. Last time it showed that the tumors were shrinking. This time is showed another tumor on his liver. Definitely not good. He sounds so positive about it though which is good. He told me not to be too upset because it isn't the "end of the rope", just another step. I'm so sad, angry, frustrated, confused, worried. So add me (or more importantly my dad) to the peeps prayer list please! Thanks so much!

Off to eat dinner - I'm starving!

Congrats on your proposal and  and prayers for Dad!

I have been dreaming about donuts...

Okay Peeps I have a confession to make. I have blown it this week. I will be posting a gain Fri and I am not a happy camper. So inorder to punish myself I vow to post my daily intake here, the good the bad and the ugly. I was doin ok til I quit being strict about accountability...then I started sliding...fast. SO starting friday I will start the new week with no cheats and accountablilty every day

okay so now off to shower cause I can smell myself after that workout, and lets just say even my dogs wont come near me.:snooty: :crazy2: :faint:

Man I am with ya on the bad behavior this week. I'm afraid of Friday. We go to WDW Saturday and mentally I am already there so I've been eating like I'm on vacation! (oh and no exercise at all!) But I won't pretend that I'll be good next week...cause I won't. I have a feeling that when I come back, it just might be like starting all oer again.:sad1:

Thank you all for the compliments.

Thank you for saying I am bee-autiful.. I appreciate the nice words.

You are all bee-autiful as well.

Love,Bee

Hi Bee! 3 days from now I should be on the magical express or just checking in to CBR!!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Pixie - A girl from our youth group went down today with her chorus group from school. They were going to sing at Disney. I think they are coming back home this weekend, so you will probably pass each other. Good luck to DD in the parade.

OK, I will have to catch up later, but I wanted to say that I just updated my trip report again! THat's right! 2 updates in less than a week! :rotfl:

Thanks! She's also playing a concert at EPCOT...parade Tuesday, Epcot Wednesday. The jazz band, choir and orchestra are also performing.

Back in January we could order t-shirts from our music department to wear at Disney. They came in yesterday. Mine is 2 sizes too big. I ordered my regular size but losing the 20 lbs. made me lose 2 shirt sizes!

Hi Dene I'm kind of new here but I have been working on this weight loss thing for almost a year. I have hit several plateaus. The first one was the worst, after that I decided to take the plateaus as challenges. I also had to except that they would happen and by working though them I feel like I am building skills that can help me keep the weight off.

Anything in particular help you get through? Increasing or decreasing exercise, calories, water, whatever?

Mother invited ehrself for the next 2 weekends

:grouphug:

I forgot a thing or ten. Dene, I must tell you that I lvoe to read your siggie it inspires me. I think that is something you do for alot of us here and by the way to inspire another huamn being typo queen or not is HUGE thank you , I still say and mean it 100 percent, I would be honored to carry your water bottle! YOu are fabuloous!!!!!!! OK now onto the condo issue, HOney I am packed and ready, I am certain too that if nothing else I am very big on finding dear firends spouses you know msiery loves company, ok only kidding!

Thanks, Fidge. Funny that you said that about finding spouses for friends... I was recently wondering if anybody I knew had any single friends... planning ahead! :lmao:

UGH I forgot again, Can I hear a booo hoo for me pelase, I had to cancel Narcoosee's you know thats my favorite place to eat but being that the trip is for the boys birthdays, well I will jstu have to have DH make it up to me and go gain!!! Either that or see if Dene will let me come, ohh Dene I can make ADRS if that helps!!

Sorry you had to cancel a fave. Trying to put a good spin on things, DD and I decided to take the opportunity to try some new places and revisit some new faves that we wouldn't have been able to do with my brother (he's pretty picky... so are his kids). Since our stay will be split, we might opt for the Dining Plan for part of the stay... I don't think I'd want to do it for the full 2 weeks we'll be there.

Thanks for listening to my rant.

No problemo! :grouphug:

However, I FINALLY turned the corner today. :dance3:

Moo... is that a new ribbon?

Just had to tell you all I got a letter today from the Church School (our first choice secondary) to say they are offering Jessica a place :cool1:

Congrats! (Good news on Oliver, too.) :thumbsup2

okay so now off to shower cause I can smell myself after that workout, and lets just say even my dogs wont come near me.:snooty: :crazy2: :faint:

You may stink, but you meet your exercise challenge! :yay:

Punkin... I gotta get me the Pirate Encyclopedia Set! We're the Granbury PIRATES and that would be hilarious to wear to school! pirate:

That's worth a Wooo Hoooty!

I gave myself a silent Wooo Hoooty tonight at the gym... hunky trainer dude said my clothes are falling off (no, Harley... he didn't mean it THAT way :rolleyes1 )

 Here's a virtual WOO HOOTY for you! TIme to go shopping Dene!

I'm packing my shorts from last year for our trip to Disney. THey're a little big. I could use 1 size smaller now, but summer clothing weather won't catch up to us in NY for 2-3 months, so I don't want to buy new shorts now because hopefully, I can be down another size or 2 by summer!

Ok, Peeps I need some more advice. Although this is fun advice.

I have mentioned many times that I might be going to disney in May to visit an old friend and college program roommie. Well it is official. She booked her flight tonight, arriving May 17!

She is big time on a budget in terms of the hotel. I am an admitted hotel snob but will stay pretty much anywhere if it is clean and safe. We are only doing Disney, at least 90% of the time anyway, so I really felt like staying onsite was the best. Which I tried to explain numerous times. Yes, offsite may be cheaper, but I will have to drive (annoying for me and $$$ for gas), pay for park parking, cab fare for PI or after we "drink around the world" at Epcot, etc. She has us booked at the HoJo Maingate East, right across from Celebration. I can picture the area in my head but the pics and reviews I've read are not promising. It looks (and sounds) a little shady to me. It is $44/night. Cheap, yes. The cheapest onsite I can find is $84/night at the All Stars. I so want to tell her to cancel it but I don't want to be a pest. I know that it is more but I am more than willing to pay a little more than her so she stays in her budget. I'm planning on using the trip as an early bday present for me anyway. But everytime I bring it up, she either isn't seeing my point or is ignoring it. I'm not sure.

So what should I do?

I think the part that is really bugging me is that the hotel only has a shuttle to the MK! No other parks! And I hate driving. I do not want to have to drive every day all over the place on my mini-vacation. Plus the shuttle is probably only at certain times that we will probably always miss.

And yes I said it before and I'll say it again. I'm a hotel snob. I like to stay onsite at WDW. So sue me. But to me it really is worth the extra cost.

I could make up a little fib and say my mom is treating us to an onsite hotel and my friend just has to pay "x" amount a night? I know honesty is the best policy, but it doesn't seem to be sinking in with her.

Anyone? Thoughts?

What is courgette? Is salad cream like mayonaise or miracle whip (also known here as salad dressing)
I looked this up: courgette is another name for zuchinni. Salad cream is like mayonaise but has a yellowish color (according to Wikipedia).
I always thought miracle whip was like whipped cream but low cal :rotfl2: Salad Cream is made by Heinz and is totally different to mayonaise it's quite tangy really hard to explain! Thanks for looking it up Jeriber

Re: my proposal. It has been submitted to the organization. I will know by end of June or July if it has been accepted. If it is accepted, I will get to go to the national convention in November in Bostom, Ma! So please keep you're fingers and toes crossed for me!
Crossing fingers for you :thumbsup2

Here I am... so now ya know what I look like.
Bee you are so pretty. I love seeing what peeps look like!

alrighty i have been thru everything my lil Mayson swallowed a marble today
my heart broke all day with worry but he will be okay
My BIL swallowed a ball bearing as a child and the Dr said to leave it if it wasn't hurting, well a few days later it nearly broke the toilet pan and everyone knew it had passed through :lmao:

I got this at the Grocery Outlet the other day. It's a store like Big Lots, but just food. anyway, I was starving when I left the store, and I figured the crackers were healthy, so I cracked 'em open on the way home. I ate 2 servings in the car. The next day, we had our DD's b-day party. Our bathroom is right off the living room, and I had to tell my DH to make sure everyone was talking really loud whilst I went potty!
:rotfl2:

Glad to hear the good news about baby Oliver! Give him a big kiss from a loving peep over here in Alabama! puckerup:
Oh I will DD has got a big sloppy one waiting for him so she told me this morning! When we visited on Sunday she wasn't allowed to hold or kiss him so she can't wait!

Whoooo Hooooty girls way to go and keep it up :cool1:

Good morning Pixie, why is this place so addictive? I only came on here for a quick catch up and an hour and a half later I'm still here! At least I've already done the weekly shop but I really need to clean  See you later :wave2:

my lil Mayson swallowed a marble today
my heart broke all day with worry but he will be okay
Misty, what did the Dr. say to do? My oldest swallowed a penny when she was a toddler...unbeknownst to me. When I saw it in her diaper, it was the shiniest penny I had ever seen. Those digestive acids really did a number on it. My mom asked me if I saved it?! Um, NO! Hope Mayson is OK.
No time to catch up. I feel so out of the loop!
Me, too! Good luck on the assignment. I always did my papers at the last minute too. Procrastinators Unite.....tomorrow.
Anyone? Thoughts?
I hear that sometimes Priceline has onsite values for like $50 a night. Maybe you could try that...or not try it and tell her that's what you did. :confused3

HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!!! :flower3:
