(and just so you know, I understand that there are so many of us peeps, we (that means ME) cant possibly begin to name names w/o leaving someone out -

so all us lurkers etc out there, know that being a part of this thread, means to belong... and OHANA to all of us... not one of us intentionally leaves another out... and it does happen, but NEVER intentional...

Well, we saw 300, and I enjoyed it! I was a little surprised I enjoyed it as much as I did actually. The eye candy was great, and it was violent, but I found the cinematography very interesting, and while it was predictable, I liked it. We did the final "glueing" on Jasper's weave poles, so they should be ready to use tomorrow. We took her for a walk for about 20-30 minutes too.

We went to Marble Slab Creamery for my dessert item today. (I got the smallest size.) And I need to vent...

There were 2 teenage girls and a teenage boy in line behind us, and one of the girls says, "I am going to get fat!" I knew before I even saw her that she would be skinny, and I was right. She couldn't have been bigger than a size 3 or 5! And her friend wasn't much bigger, but said that she was bulking up too! Then the first girl says she is going on South Beach Diet this week! WHAT?!?!?!? I asked DH to throw her in the trash can, and he just laughed as if I was kidding!

blah! i hate that! i may have told this story here before, but once i was trying on clothes at express and there were two girls in the dressing room beside me griping about how they couldn't get into a size 2 and were having to buy a size 4. give me a %$*@#^+~$ break!!!!!

by the way, i saw 300 this weekend, too. it was visually really good, but the story wasn't as good as i thought it would be. lots of washboard abs in leather diapers....i can't complain!

Boy, growing up in CA I was very much like that. I remember the gross stuff I used to do to try to lose weight-fake banana-flavored fiber tablets that you chewed up before meals, some pre-slim fast gunk that was always lukewarm because I had a crummy plastic thermos, and then I would go out with my BF and eat 6 donuts. Some girls in my class were hospitalized with anorexia, and that was over 25 years ago.

Okay... true Jean-Nate story. About 18 years ago, I was the "lead" word processor out at the nuclear power plant when they were trying to get all their licenses and stuff (that's why I glow in the dark). ANYWAY, I was "in charge" of about 20 temp word processing ladies. Christmas comes around and they had a gift exchange. There was this present that had been sitting there for a couple of weeks... first one that showed up under the little tree and nobody "exchanged" it with anybody else. Turns out it was a gift for ME... all the ladies had chipped in and gotten it for me... it was Jean-Nate. For some reason unbeknownst (is that a word?) to me, somebody somewhere thought I liked it or wore it or something. It was sweet that they got it for me, so I didn't have the heart to tell them I'd never even smelled it before... and that after I did smell it, I hoped I never would again...

Guess I'll have to talk to myself since eeyore isn't around... okay... I've beaten that one into the ground... just can't help myself though... my Disney "How are you feeling?" magnet is stuck between "Goofy" and "Love Struck" so I'm, how shall I say this? Being a toad as my mother would say.

I made my Saturday morning yoga instructor laugh... (not at the way I was doing the poses, you sillies). I was telling some of the other ladies in there that I had had these weird rough spots on my hands for a couple of weeks and just the night before I had an epiphany and figured out that they were from doing "down dogs"... Yes! My first yoga callouses!

By the way... WHY is an "up dog" with your booty down and a "down dog" with your booty up? Just wondering...

Misty No wonder I couldnt remember the name of the Kirstie movie, that just doesnt sound right!! on the 300 - I've seen clips and thought to pass - Im want to go to the Harley hog movie!!

Too cute - now DS were in 6th and 4th grade, my second born, he just shrugs no reaction... the 6th grader, I remember taking him to Target just the two of us and we sat down at the food court, and talked..... he was happy... as long as he could still play hockey... and he asked me about breastfeeding!! I asked him how he would feel because more than likely I'd have to nurse during games... he thought it was the best food for the baby!!! That kid helped put my mind at ease!! They always surprise us!! (and our hockey team had a lot of great parents on it and they were all about the nursing.. )

I just read a review about this movie. They said gay men would love it. They said the plot was thin, but if you liked to see mostly nude guys fighting, then you would enjoy it. Did your DH like it?

300 DD19 and I actually loved the movie... hot MEN with hot bodies. It was most assuredly an ADULT movie... lots of stylized violence and sensuality. And the look of the movie was very... 'artistic' for lack of a better word. This one particular scene toward the end looked like a painting. We KNEW how it had to end, but DD ended up crying anyway... I almost did. Ironically, I'm the one who usually cries, not her.

I mentioned the hot MEN... yes, they are MEN, not scrawny look at my abs I'm so skinny model boys. Muscular and built. Gerard Butler looked awesome. (Harley... I think Jay would have to put on a 20 lbs, but I'm sure he would look great in a Spartan outfit... )

There was another actor that just looked so darn familiar (and abalicious)... he played Dilios, kind of the storyteller of the movie. I knew I had seen him in 1 or 2 other things... took a while and then I figured it out... he play Faramir on the Lord of the Rings: Two Towers & Return of the King. He also played a monk on Van Helsing... but LotR is where I remembered him from.

Had to look up the Queen on imdb... she played Kitty on the live action version of The Jungle Book.

Xerxes was a spanish actor that has a small recurring role on Lost.

i loved that the narrartor/actor was the actor on van helsing . but then again i loved the whole thing .

my DD is 5 and she makes comments like she is fat because she has a lil pooch but that is my fault because i make comments about my fat self (i gotta watch what i say )oh man i would have loved to see your DH throw her in the trash can

wow! i just got done cleaning my whole house and cleaning the carpets , now i do not have to do any house cleaning tommorow except but then i do that every day i swear... well i am just saying HI and now i am gonna jump in the tub with my Bath and body works strawberry Daquiri 3 in 1 .body wash shampoo bubble bath , i got my DH iced tea and he smells good ... i gott my darling Daizie a pink sweater at petsmart today for $4 she looks so cute i will post a picture on here tommorow my camera is charging right now.

OK that's funny!! The reviews here by men that LOVE it have a Greek heritage, interesting comments about the real history of the 300 - I'd rather watch "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" at the teenage boys comments!!

Firstly, I want my hour back now! Secondly I had a really lousy night. I decided I could hadnle a couple of Lorna Dune Cookies, WRONG AGAIN!!! I ate a whole sleeve of the dran things over 12 hours!

Note to self, cannot handle sweets of any kind, too compulsive and jsut didn't do it!!! Will have to walk everyday promise to self for the week. MY back has not been thrilled by recent weather one bit and it gets me very cranky.

Oh did I mention I want my hour back as I am just way too cranky for public outtings!

Did the tie dye shirts last nioght with the Mickey head DH even jumped into the action adn said he really enjoyed doing it. Note to self new compulsion with tee shirts.

I have much to do today and I am not happy that everything I was set to do this weekend did not get pulled off well, I will have to bring my printer to get help its printing out lines on everything. Go to bank , pay bills , go to post office and get a pluber over here. Note to self , get some gratitude sounds like life not a problem!

I am not thrilled and am annoyed about the cookie thing last night you see it is all DH's fault!!! He kept waking up last nightas he has a cough and I got up with him and had cookies yup its all on DHs head, heck its all on my butt!!!
