But wait, there's one more cutie DS to oogle:

My DS17 Jordan's senior pictures...

He's a straight A's Sterling Scholar (whatever that is!)

The sons of the PEEPs on this thread. How handsome. We must have some pretty beautiful ladies (and gents) to produce such fine looking young men!

OK, I'm in a bit of a hurry here, but wanted to quote a few and post my loss. That's right - loss! After staying the same last week (I blame AF!), I LOST 4.2 lbs! That brings my total to 19.2 lbs! :woohoo:
Way to go!
And... I lost 5.8 lbs this week... total now 44 lbs... and I am looking mahhhvalous. :cool2:
What a great birthday week present! Yea! oh, and Happy Birthday!!!! :flower2: :flower2: :flower2: :flower2:
Congratulations! :bride: And I must say, you WILL look mahvelous! I just know it... and we will help you!:grouphug:
She's right - you've got time - just keep slimmin'!
I forgot to post yesterday. I lost one whopping pound. It is going so sloooooowly!
But you lost - one at a time -keep at it - we can do it!

I didn't have a no cheat day but my regular days I've cheated so much less lately I'm really pleased about the changes I've been making! I don't generally eat fruits and/or veggies - at all! But in the last month several times I've had fruit for a meal and not felt like I was being mistreated!!! :confused3 I know - what a shock! Maybe someday I'll start eating veggies! :rolleyes1

I made my ADRs! Got almost everything - may have to rearrange a bit to try to get Le Cellier. I'm going on a trip next week - that always makes me want to do everything remotely on my to do list and leave the house clean - not to mention pack! I think I've lost it!

and Happy, Happy Birthday to you, Melinda!! :rose: :flower2: :rose:

Did you ever see the naughty movie they did that was all clips of videos they had including Girls on Film? I have a copy somewhere....X-rated music videos that today would be mainstream! :rotfl2: John was wearing a black t-shirt with a buttoned down oxford that was red over it. Black leather pants and black boots. (just slightly obsessing here)

Love, love, love the story! You didn't get any pictures!!!! Surely, there are some pictures! You didn't get him to sign any part of your anatomy!? Somehow I missed this video. The only video I remember was a documentary - it had a name that I can't remember..."Blue" something maybe. Anyway, we cried when we watched it! You really did not give enough John Taylor details and what about Andy, you didn't even mention him. Or was it Robert you didn't mention - he was kind of cute too.
Your son is gorgeous - only a sophmore? Yikes!

That's a great story, definatley one to be passed thru the generations. Altho I'd hate to think of my Grandma in a mini skirt at stelletos! Thanks to you, I've been singing Duran Duran songs all day! "her name is rio and she dances on the sand.............." At least I think those are the words!

You're gracefull meeting reminds me of the only time I've met someone famous. I was in one of the smithsonians when Laura Bush and a bunch of people she was having a tour with walked into the room. My dsis-inlaw and I were the only ones there. She came over to talk to us and asked if we'd like a picture and the wonderfull statement I managed to say is "I just love you!". She probably wanted to call for security because I'm sure I had this stupid look on my face. My meeting even made front page of my local paper. That's how small of a town I live in.

Wow, another cool story. My life is so boring!

Happy Birthday Melinda!!!
SSS_BMW_Chocolate_lg.jpg

Opps sorry I tried to wait for everybody......oh and yesterday was no cheating! UM said nothing about today!!!:rolleyes1

Happy Birthdya to one sweet Peeps!!:cool1: :cutie: :dance3: :flower3: pixiedust: :hyper: :rockband: party: :dancer: :bday: :jumping1: :cake:

Love ya!
Brigitte

Thanks, Fidge. I had to go eat a girl scout cookie! That cake looks great!

oooh ahhhh Wendy - hot hot hot - he has good genes!!! Definately!!

:rotfl2: Thanks so much!! :rotfl2: Its tough sitting here, no one excited, so I've tampered it down... now to DS I've tried to get him to go for the DISNEY Wedding!!! :rotfl2: (and she has a friend who did the college program at Disney, real disnified that friend is!!) at least do a beach wedding and a Disney honeymoon - right?!! (DS just rolled his eyes, I heard that way over the phone btw!!) He said something about red polka dots... (kidding do you think??? Well, I do have the perfect red shoe!!)

I know its in 2 years, and I know she is hoping for a backyard wedding and a BBQ!! (hard to believe, but that's what dh says... I'm still going to push for a beach wedding, Ft Myers FL sounds good to me!!)

I know I wanted to say more, but dh has declared it a champagne night, so he's popped a bottle, and we have to tell his mom!! (who hasnt talked to dh in 6 weeks!! :sad2:

DH's brother had a beach wedding several years ago. What a nightmare! I have told my kids not to even consider one. That one scarred me for life. A Disney wedding sounds great, but start saving now!

Bee, Wendy, and Sandy you all have great looking kids too. We have some good genes here!

Melinda, hope your birthday was special.

It is almost 1 am and I have no idea why I am still awake. I better get to bed. Good night, Peeps.

It's not midnight here yet, so Happy Birthday Melinda.

I got the age right, didn't I?
Danielle - Tell your DD that sounds exciting. Which amusement park and where do you live? How old is she?

She'll be working at Great America. It's in Santa Clara. Here's the website if anyone's curious. http://www2.cedarfair.com/greatamerica/index.cfm She's almost 17. I worked their when I was a teenager too, but only as a cashier. I'm very proud of her.

I have ALOT of catching up to do. I wasn't able to get online yesterday because a tree fell in my back yard and knocked all of the electrical wires and cable/telephone wires from the house. It also knocked the electrical box completely off the house. Needless to say, it was a mess. I had to call an electrician, then the electric company then the cable/telephone company. Everything is back to normal this morning, thank god. So, I have to few more pages to catch up on. You guys add these pages on quickly, WHEW. I have to go do some reading now:surfweb:

I'm glad things are back to normal.

Love all the cute family pictures. For you moms with a child who's engaged, I recommend sending your child and their fiance(e) on an Engaged Encounter. It is a retreat for couples planning to get married, and gives them a chance to focus on their plans and dreams for the future, not just wedding day plans. DH and I volunteer for the Catholic ministry, but I know other churches have this too. We paid for our nieces to go before each of them got married, and they both said it was the best wedding present.

Dawn, love the Simon LeBon story. I will admit that Simon was better looking than Bowie in the '80's, but to me, Bowie's voice is like melted dark chocolate. DS and I went to see him last year at DS' request, and it was an awesome experience.

Oh, that reminded me. DH gave me the most romantic birthday present. Our wedding was on a budget, and our dance music was a reel to reel my then BIL recorded of songs we chose (including a couple of Bowie songs; no Duran Duran). We had a copy of the music on cassette, then CD, but it was flawed and the sound would fade in and out. For my b-day, DH bought all of the songs and burned them onto cds and played them in the car while we were on the way to Reno. I  that man.

FIRST THINGS FIRST!!! TODAY WE WISH A VERY SPECIAL BIRTHDAY TO THE PEEP WHO WAS THE FIRST TO PROVE THAT BEING HOT & SKINNY IS NOT A FORM OF BIRTH CONTROL..... :rotfl2:
7.gif

MONICA!!!
We miss ya, mony......Hope you have a GREAT day!!!

GOOD MORNING, PEEPS!!!
:sunny:

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU....for all the kind words and well wishes and CAKES yesterday!!! You all really know how to make a girl feel special. :grouphug:
We got home from the competition around 8:00 last night so we had sushi from Kroger and opened gifts. DH got me a necklace, earrings, and some clothes. The jeans are so low rise (Britney would be proud!) that I fear there may be some thong showing when I bend over. But I don't wear a thong. Or do I? Anyway...he liked them so that's what counts. I guess.

Oooo....almost forgot....he also brought home a Tempur-pedic matress yesterday. It's a dream machine!!! Love it!!!

FIDGITTE....If I could choose one real life cake, it would be the one you posted. Yummmmmm.....Soooo chocolatey!! Thank you!

SANDY.....Congratulations on DS's engagement! Thanks for the cute picture of the happy couple. And the ring fit? Meant to be, I say. How exciting!!! :)

SHANNON
....Loved the picture of you and your baby at the walk yesterday! He's so cute and so's his mama.
Oops! I went over by 100 calories today! But it's one day and 100 calories, so I am not going to worry too much about it.
Good attitude. You know I can't really think of this whole thing we are doing as a "diet". These have to be permanent lifestyle changes for me. It doesn't mean that even if my body looked exactly the way I wanted it to one day, that I could go back to my old ways. This is forever! But I can't deprive myself or I am doomed to failure. Some days are good. Some are bad. Everyday I jump back on the wagon and try again.
You may notice those of you who know my daughters that Tori is NOT wearing her glasses.
Hi, Grumpy, Bee, and sweet girls. Loved the pictures of the sledding. We've missed you. Happy to see you've recognized that your baby is growing up and not just standing around with your fingers in your ears like some dads singing "la, la, la, la, la". ;)
melindacake.jpg

I got the age right, didn't I?
YES YOU DID! (times 2 plus 3)Thanks anyway!!! :rotfl2:
That peach would be good...and with a high heel slingback and a floppy hat...u would be golden...
OK....this is not what I wanted to quote. Just wanted to say I followed the Simon story yesterday like a soap opera. It was a cute and hilarious story. You have such a great sense of humor about you! I love that you can laugh at yourself and your Simon obsession. Plus you are a very good writer. It's the ability to evoke those sensory reactions in the reader...like the smell of Simon...that make the written word come to life. It puts us right there with you. Brilliant, I say! PS..Teynor is gorgeous. (as is his girlfriend!)

HAVE A GREAT DAY, EVERYBODY....especially you, Monica!!! :flower3:

GREAT PICS!!! The girls look like they were having a blast!!! If my hind end would have been on one of the swimming rafts...I would have been drowning because it so would have popped! Our HS kids steal lunch trays to sled with...we also have matress races here. that's where people rig mattresses with runners and go down ski hills. Hanna's brother and friends went sledding at one of the local ski slopes "after hours" last night. Not legal...but so much fun...not that I would have done that as a young teen...ahemmm.

Your camera takes great pics...I need a new one!

We used to use the trays at college to go sledding or "traying as we called it". Every once in a while the kitchen staff would put up a notice that they were running out of trays and asking us to bring them beack to the dining hall!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: And of course we know you wouldn't have done any illegal sledding...you plain old didn't have time wiht all the attack the suprerstar acitvities you had to keep up with.

Your son and his girlfriend are a good looking couple! Your son bears just the slightest resemblance to that guy from Duran Duran...care to explain?:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Congrats, Sandy!

Maybe you could pass down your bride ears to your new daughter in law and save on costs???

I told my kids they have to elope, I refuse to pay for weddings. So she says she is getting married in a white bikini by my brother in laws pool. :)

Works for me!

Oh wait, that doesnt mean I have to wear a mother of the bride bathing suit, does it?

MOther of the bride bathing suit?:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Just caught up on Saturday Picture Day. What beautiful families you all have!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MONICA!!!

party: :jumping1: :cake: :rockband:

Let us know how that goes!:rolleyes1

Pixie, is just kidding. We can all guess how this went. ;)

Hey, have you guys seen the Prestige. David Bowie is in it. He is Tesla. I kept saying, that really looks like David Bowie - but he is so old. It was him with black hair and a mustache and wrinkles.

Happy Birthday Monica!

Hope you have a great day! We sure have had a TON of birthdays lately here, huh?! I am getting a cake hangover from celebrating them all:rotfl:

Good Morning & Merry Christmas!

Okay..so I know that it is not Christmas but what better way to start a Sunday morning. Everyday is Christmas morning when you have Christ in your heart and you are of the Easter people. (For those who do not share my faith....Good morning to you too...In my heart I feel that regardless of how your beliefs transpire we all share the same Golden Rule...Do unto others...and I hope your dreams come true today in whatever way you would desire)

Not quite sure where that came from but I write what I feel so there it is.

Happy B-day to the women of the weekend! Celebrate because each day is truly a gift...not about the things we hold as tangible and can open but what is in our heart and in the heart of those who merely wrap their offerings with paper and bows because what they want to give...love... cannot be boxed.

Anyway...I wanted to share with you all that I have a story I am writing...have been for awhile and I am going to finish it. I really don't care if it ever transpires to paper beyond my computer but it has been in me for years and I have started it and stopped so many times. I was wondering if I could get feedback from you all by sharing the introduction. I honestly want to know if it would be something you would keep reading or if it would be something you would put back on the shelf. I have it in Word and could probably copy-paste it here. Let me know...not probably the best place for it...but I don't want to place it elsewhere...I just want some feedback from a great support -group.

Thanks

Thanks! I appreciate your kind words...Treyner is gorgeous...but more important...a really kind hearted person...Thank Gosh..he doesn't look like his Mother...or his father...hmmm...

Yes...I would...God knew that through divine intervention I could give birth to great looking kids because with my gene pool...they may come out not so attractive and w/ DH...have marsupial appendages.... :rotfl: (see beaver claw comment from yesterday)

Sorry for offending any Bowie fans...just like my Simon! He does have a great voice!!!! Just not a turn on for me!

i know it's not officially weigh-in day, but i'm new to this board and i'm breaking the rules. so sue me! ;) i couldn't resist weighing myself this morning and i've lost 3 pounds since friday!!!!!! yeah, i know i shouldn't get too excited because people tend to lose weight faster at the beginning of their diet, but i'm very proud of myself. i've stayed around 1,200 calories for the past two days and drank lots of water. thanks so much for all the advice i've gotten from you guys - it's obviously helped!

and happy birthday to all these birthday girls!!!!!!!!! i don't know any of you yet, but i'm sure i will get to know you better. hope you all have WONDERFUL BIRTHDAYS!!!!!!!!!! :flower3:

Good morning and god bless. I will be happy to read your story. It would be my pleasure.

I'm glad things are back to normal

Thank you. It was truly a nightmare.

Good morning everyone. I hope you have a blessed day.
