DISappearing Peeps...A fastpass to THIN! Part 2

okay.......the waiting paid off.....or so i thought. but then i stepped on the scale and no change. so i gained 2 pounds this week. :scared: that's the most i've ever gained in one week. not terrible....i know. but still. i deserve it though......do you have any idea the amount of pasta salad and bacon scallion potatoes we had left over from saturday night??? it was ridiculous. and i drank more alcohol than usual this week so i'm not surprised. usually i have like 1 drink a week (if that) and this week i had.....well, more than that! so i'm back up to 134. as soon as AF leaves and this muscle soreness wears off, i think the number will go back down. so close.........yet so far away! :headache:

Well, first my weigh in info...I am down 3.2 lbs this week! That brings me back to 217.2, where I was when I surpassed my Thanksgiving goal the first time. :thumbsup2

I've been working really hard on getting into a habit of getting in my exercise. That's part of the reason I haven't been around much lately. A friend of mine (who is also trying to lose weight) and I went to Chicago Saturday to shop, and we did a LOT of walking. Sunday, I walked Jasper for about 40 minutes. Monday, I rode my bike for 46 minutes. Tuesday, my friend and I walked for 30 minutes on our lunch hour. That night, we had agility class with Jasper (though it wasn't my turn to run her) and a concert (there was a bit more walking and dancing involved there :)). Wednesday, I rode my bike for 46 minutes again. And yesterday, my friend and I walked for 30 minutes at lunch again, and I rode my bike last night for 40 minutes. I'm taking the day off today. My body needs a break. But I am really happy with what I've been doing. I just need to keep it up. I'm feeling very motivated right now.

I have another shopping trip planned this Saturday, but I think I need to make a to do list for Sunday. I have to finish up my next TR installment. I did work on it last night. Maybe I can get it finished tonight? Depends on what DH has planned. I know we'll probably be eating at Chili's. We seem to end up there every Friday night now that his sister is working there. (And I can be good there too! :thumbsup2 ) I think someone DH works with may be coming to pick up the sofa bed we have had sitting in our dining room since we moved in! I'm really excited about it because that's where my bike sits too, and I plan to rearrange a little bit once the sofa is gone. I'd also LOVE to add a treadmill to that room, and a small LCD TV mounted to the wall. But that might take a bit more time. ;)

There's also laundry that needs attention. And apparently, it's time to make my Christmas list for DH. We are reducing our budget this year for each other's Christmas, what with the Disneyland trip rapidly approaching. We also need to decide on where we want to eat both on our January DL and May WDW trips, and make ADRs for May. Wow! I'm starting to get a little overwhelmed. It seems that if I really focus on the weight loss and activity levels, other things get neglected. :( Anyway, I'm gonna use Sunday to try to do some catching up.

I hope everyone is going well! So, what's everyone wanting for Christmas this year? Seems REALLY weird to me that it's so close!

Well, I'm -3.6 lbs . But that was as of yesterday. I'm at my parents house for the weekend and when I stepped on their scale, I didn't like the number I saw. It's old and most likely could use a new battery. Hmmm... I should bring my scale home with me.

Skinny Wishes! :goodvibes

I'm -1 lb this week. I'm so happy I could almost cry--you guys have made such a difference in my health program, both with all of the great suggestions and the support.

and Danielle let me know if you need me to send you some of those recycled Christmas presents I get from MIL. Actually, could I just send you my MIL? She called DH at work day before yesterday to see if we wanted their old mattress/box springs because she's been unable to sell it. :confused3

:thumbsup2

I didn't weigh in today (would you believe that I do not own a scale). I go to WW on Tuesday's for my weekly weigh in and I didn't go this past Tuesday because my DS had bronchitis so I couldn't go this week. I hope I didn't break any rules.

Your punishment is posting a picture of yourself in a bikini!

J/K!

When the little day care boy pushed my scale off of the bench the other day I thought nothing of it, but come to find out today, it's busted.

Pro: I don't have to see the numbers go up

Con: I have to shell out money to buy a new one. Plus it looks like I lost the most weight ever! :rotfl:

That bad gift thread is a hoot. Pakey, you could write a book and sell millions.

Have a skinny day!

We have these ads for Ace Hardware and you can purchase things for 10 cents.

My FIL would go everyweek and purchase, kitchen scissors, ponchos, those one click bbq lighters, hangers, etc and then come over a give them to me. My SIL put her foot down and wouldn't except anymore, so then I guess I had to be the recipient. I never asked for the stuff, he just felt like because it was 10 cents he had to buy them even though he did not want them for himself. We finally got him to stop buying the stuff. But, we host the family christmas party in 2010, so I'm sure it will start up again for the stupid little games we play. He lives in a small condo and can't fit the 50 people that make up my DH's family.

If anyone wants kitchen scissors I have a stock pile.

:lmao: Well, since you read the Worst Present Thread, you know I've got the rocks. Now you have the scissors. If we can find someone with paper, we'll be able to play that rock-paper-scissor game, literally. :lmao:

Ok kids. Utahmama's scale is not working and she doesn't have a replacement battery.....so I'm taking a free pass this week too. I figure she is my fearless leader therefore I must do whatever she does.....unless she actually gets on the cool treadmill...that would be taking it too far!;)

I put down 5 lbs for my Thankgiving challenge and I only have five pounds to go to make it!:thumbsup2 :rotfl2: I think I'll go shave my legs, and ny armpits and my head , then I'll cut my fingernails and toenails. Hmmm any other suggestions?:confused3

Congratulations to all of you losers!! I hope to be one of you next week:dance3:

So I was given this uber cool ipod today for work. Guess what the first thing was that I uploaded to it....that's right, "Wishes" fireworks. :sad1: I so want to be in WDW. I also uploaded the couch to 5K podcasts from itunes. For anyone doing this program, it really is pretty cool.

Pakey, OMG!!! YOur MIL gift shinanigans are hysterical!! I don't understand why you wouldn't want an old mattress...:lmao:

Punkin, Have you thought about doing petsitting for people in your neighborhood? I am going to put my creative hat on this weekend and make some cute flyers to put on people's mailboxes. A friend of mine did this and made decent money. This is a time of year that a lot of people are looking for petsitters. Just a thought...

DisneyFreak, DH and I tried not exchanging at all last year and it was depressing. This year we are just going to set a limit and spend the rest of the kids.

Aldisneygrl, I loved your puppy story!! OUr Chesapeake Retriever ate the back of the headrest off one of the seats in my husbands car when he ran into a 7-11. She also dug a hole through our mattress twice trying to bury one of her toys. Animals...what can you do?

DisneyLaura, I am a fan of ctystal liight as well..I love the blueberry/white tea...Yum!! I use 2 tsps of Benefiber in my 32oz jug.

Zigzagzerr, I really hope all goes well. Like a few others on here, I found a lump about 5 years ago and it was nothing. I am thinking of you...

MRNsMommy, Thanks, now I want waffles:rolleyes: . I am currently off the steak fries but under the right circumstance, could be convinced otherwise. I am so weak :scared:

Thank you for all of the laughs today! It made my workday bearable. It will be very difficult for me to get online over the weekend but will try to sneak by when the shorties are asleep. If I don't make it back until Monday have a great weekend everybody pixiedust:

Kim:coffee:

Okay, so I haven't not shown my face over here for a while but if anyone remembers... I had this terrible predicament for a while and basically my DBF and I went on vacation, to WDW of course, and when we came home the DBF's landlord told him he was selling the house and that he had 60 days to be out. Of course we FREAKED out as some of you might remember me needing some pixie dust! Anyways, after searching and searching and not getting to revel in the just-returned-from-Disney high...

Rob dropped out of college and found a job that is perfect for him in his field, where he could eventually go finish school and they will pay for it! It was a rocky start for him to jump right into full time work but we are good now-- he works full time and the school year started and we are in a good place. Anyways, so while he was a job-hunting I was apartment-hunting!

And after searching high and low, crying for some more pixie dust because we didn't think our dog would be able to come with us AND continually just getting through day by day: We found our place! Yay! Now, I haven't been able to Dis much because the Dis is one of the forums that is blocked for me at work so I have to squeeze in time to lurk on all of ur great TRs (Dawn and Nicole, loved the pictures in ur TRs, BTW). As far as dieting, I am just getting on the bandwagon now and I will post more about that at a later date. But in any case, here is our new place (I know the Living Room is still bare but its a work in progress):

Okay, I will be back with more peepish talk later. And I promise I am in the groove of the new place and not really homesick anymore and on track with school and work and all so I am totally excited about losing weight for real!
:thumbsup2

ThinkTink"Mel"- I have those same canisters in my kitchen! The ones with the characters looking out of them. I love them! My only obvious Disney thing in the kitchen.

Glad to hear you are in a better place!

Very Glad you're back with us!

Thanks so much!! I am in a happy place now. We just got back from the mall and bought a 6-7 ft ficus tree (fake) for the living room corner by the air conditioner (left of the TV in my pictures)... green plants really brighten up a room! Oh and BTW, the canisters are great! I was afraid they might be cheapish and same with the Mickey bowls on the shelf because they were SO cheap on disneyshopping but they are wonderful! I actually have a set of 4 disney store Studio collection dessert plates so I put two up at a time of them behind the sink instead of that big plastic platter from summertime. And I got this great Ratatouille utensil holder when I picked up the plates. Once I decorate for Christmas I will post you guys some more...

Okay enough of my run on about myself! I am so glad to be back!! How is everyone here? Any new engagements, weddings, babies?? And a little pixie dust for all the negative :wizard: !

We had about half the peeps post weight changes this week. Whatdup?

The total is -10.3!!!! (so far, there usually is some stragglers)
Hopingtogetengaged(you need an easy nick name) and DisneyFreakyLynda both were over 3 pounds lost! BIG losers!

what a great idea! the only problem with that is that i can't be on a set schedule so the whole babysitting idea won't work. i'm a court reporter and some weeks i work five days and some weeks only one day and everything in between. so i'm never on the same schedule. but i could watch pets while people vacation or are out of town for the holidays, i guess? as long as they don't mind their pet being crated while i'm not at home.

And just for fun... here is our pup Liam on Halloween! ;)

awwwwwwww......what a cutie! i'm so glad you guys found a place where you could keep him cause there's no way i could've given him up!!!! has he got beagle in him? love the apartment, by the way!

Hey Peeps,

I've been skimming for the past couple days so forgive me for not commenting! I couldn't weigh today (and didn't want to) because my cousin is in town for the next 2 weeks :scared1: and she was sleeping in the room where the scale is. Sad excuse I know. If it helps, I weighed myself mid-week and I was at my beginning weight for the Turkey Day challenge. No gains or losses.

And I just wanted to share how excited I am that I will be seeing the Rockettes tomorrow! They are doing their traveling Christmas Spectacular and I'm so excited to see them (for a 3rd time in my life LIVE) that I don't think I will be able to sleep! Did I mention I'm excited?

Oh and I did get my hair cut and colored. I look WAY different. Super different. Very dark and I have bangs...real ones! I will try to take some pics tomorrow at the show and with the family before hand and post some so you all can see. One of my patient's mom told me I look "sassy" :rotfl:

Have a great weekend! :cutie:

FINALLY!-2 pounds! I really wanted to lose all of the goal weight by Thanksgiving,But I don't see it happening. That would give me 1 week to lose 4 1/2 pds.:guilty: Not happening. WI DISNEYFAN THANK YOU! If you hadn't thought of this mini goal, I don't think I would have tried so hard. And I know that next week will probably be some sort of a gain. I needed this extra motivation.

pics, please! i get the "sassy" comment a lot since i've cut my bangs.

have you guys heard anything about expo TV? i'm thinking seriously about getting into it for extra money. it's just consumer reviews and there's no obligation. just wondering if anyone's heard anything negative about it?

I will definitely try and get some pics :thumbsup2

I have heard of expo TV while reading Tim and Lesley's TR...she seems to have a lot of luck with it. I looked into but I'm way too lazy to make videos for things. Haven't heard much else though.

And peeps, I have forgotten some more awesome news! I finally got word today that the class I needed to take next semester will be being offered! And even better it will be online! So much easier than driving down to school from work once a week. So come late April, I will FINALLY be finished with my Master's! :cool1:
