i can't sleep!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :headache: my alarm was set for 6:51 (for that all-important 9-minute snooze til 7:00!) and i woke up at 5:45. now i'm wide awake. i don't think it's disney though....it's DH's snoring!

i weighed in and i'm a samer this week. fine by me! i just hope i don't gain 10 pounds over 3 days at WDW! i'm being silly. last time i only gained 1 pound and was gone for 5 days. i bought a pedometer to wear this time just to see how much walking i actually do. i'm sure i'll be the fastpass getter since tara's preggo and erin doesn't know her way around the parks.

speaking of erin, i mentioned this on my TR, but not here. she's been having some back pain so she went to the doctor yesterday and he gave her some muscle relaxers. so disney world will be EXTRA magical for her!!! :lmao:

hope everyone has safe travels! and for those of you not going, hope you have a great weekend! :flower3:

GOOD MORNING! :sunny:

I'm ready to go! :yay:

Gotta go get a shower before the kids get up. They are so excited. When I opened the suitcase and started packing, DS finally said....Are we going somewhere? (Heh) Yes, honey, we're going on a hotel trip! YAY! :yay: OK...he has no idea which hotel but I'm sure he'll figure it out when we drive under the arches!

MJ....I am soooo proud of you. You have really worked for that new ribbon, girl! Isn't it a great feeling!?

Abish....I know it has been a struggle to give up the diet coke and do some exercising. I HATE exercising but after a couple of months when the results are SO obvious, you learn to love it!

WENDY....You are a sewing genius! I can't believe you made that awesome costume!!! Aurora-Norah is gorgeous in it! Can't wait to meet you for real!

Monica, Winkers, Heather, Gina, Shannon, Allie, Fran and ALL you other peeps (cuz I always forget somebody) :headache: ....Hold down the fort and we'll give you a call from the Poly!

BIG HUGS! SEE YOU WHEN WE GET BACK!

Good Morning Peeps!

I gained this week, had a rough one with way too many temptations. And darn it, I gave in!

Good luck to everyone else weighing in this morning! And to you peeps who are heading to Disney-HAVE A WONDERFUL TIME!!!

Have a great weekend all!

Hey Amy, at least it is a loss and not a gain. :goodvibes

Remember I do my WW weigh ins on Monday, and this past Monday I lost -.6. I am happy with that as well, since I had such a big loss the week before. By my scale this morning my number is even smaller. Just hope I can maintain it through the weekend.:rolleyes1

I am very excited for those leaving this week! Here's some pixiedust: for safe travels.

Yesterday, I wound up getting a breast infection. Luckily the Dr. just called in a script for me and didn't make me drive to the office. I had 4 with Mal. Those things really make you feel like you got hit by a mack truck. Fever, achey and so painful.

Madelyn went to her 1 month check up and she gain 3 oz. shy of 3 lbs. and she grew an inch and a half.

She is doing great.

I'm ready to run amuck!

UM: Nora's Sleeping Beauty dress is darling!

Gina: I did curves. I feel you must at least follow a healthy eating plan to see results. I felt it got costly in the end.

I think having Captain Jack having his own meet and great area will be huge! In the end it should be a keeper.

Can't wait for the phone call from the poly!

Or the emails! Thanks again for getting mine everyone!

Good Morning run amuckers and Peeps still waiting to leave :)
I am quite happy today, even though its small its a loss...down .4 I havent' lost in 2 weeks so this is a good sign. I really counted the calories this week and drank tons of water adn i think that is what helped. I only worked out a couple of times, but i made sure they were good ones :)

Gina - I used to belong to Curves. Actually, I joined two different times (before baby and after baby). The first time was more successful than the second, as I had fewer distractions keeping me from going. I think you get out of it what you put in. That is, some people really pushed themselves, both on the machines and on the recovery stations. Also, it helps to DIET while doing the exercise! I didn't exactly do that part. I just ate whatever I wanted. I still lost weight, just not as much as I think I could have. My exercise buddy (who was almost twice my age) had lower cholesterol and blood pressure solely b/c of the exercise. It was a nice, encouraging, low-key atmosphere. I liked it and would probably join again but I wouldn't go often enough to justify the cost (b/c of my kids/husband/life right now).
I hear that. i actually joined about 3 1/2 years ago and went for about 6 months, i really was not good about the diet when i went and i just didn't make the commitment. But now i am very happy i rejoined, its a totally different center too with way more machines, i like it alot. I also have problems with blood pressure and cholesterol, besides weight, so i know i HAVE to be active..

Gina - I did curves - had to quit - the vertigo was exsaberated due to the fans and movin... aaack! room spins not good!
Wow! I never thought about that..There is a bit of stimulation going on there that is true. ..

check this out......

looks like we might be meeting a pirate!!! pirate:

So cool!

-5!!!! I have yet to figure out what makes me lose weight and what doesn't. It's been forever since I lost more than a pound or two in a week. This week I pig out over the weekend, watch carefully during the week, and loose 5 lbs??

Whatever, I'll take it and run!! :cool1:

I'm off for a 2 mile walk with the pup.

Depressing! I'm up 1.2 pounds from last week!

But I'm not feeling hopeless. There's way too much success going on around this thread for me to stop now! (And when I'm honest with myself I realize that I really haven't been doing all that I can do about losing weight and being healthier. Why not start today?)

Love to everybody heading to The World! Think of us who can't be at the meet this time. We'll try not to let things get too crazy around here.

And thanks for all of the help and advice you've given me!

Have a BEAUTIFUL, MAGICAL weekend!

Well, according to my scale this morning, I may be up 1.4 lbs. But who knows for sure? I got like 3 different readings. It all depends on precisely how I stand on it, I think. I could be a samer too. I saw the same number from last week at one point. I'm not too worried about it. I'm going to weigh in before we leave. That's the number I care about, I guess. Maybe I'll put new batteries in the scale before then. For now, I'm calling myself a samer, I suppose.

I going to assume I am a shamer this week! I didn't even think about it being Friday until I got online and since I have already eaten, I'm not venturing near the scale. It's been a long, stress filled week. I had a huge training to present last night and have been munching all week while preparing. I did try to make some good choices for my munching but still too much stress eating. The funny thing is the training went great and my evaluations looked good.

Wendy - Your daugther's dress is gorgeous. Fantastic work. She looks so cute and proud.

Safe and happy traveling to all those leaving today or this weekend. My daughter and I are headed out for our short trip on Monday. I just have to figure out how to make during two very event filled days this weekend.

Misty came over and took this picture of Miss Aurora-Norah...This dress took me a whole week and TONS of stress.

Isn't she precious? I say that because she was SOOOOO naughty just minutes before...

Where did little Nora go. She is all grown up. You did a great job on the dress.

You will be getting back on the day I should have REBEKAH :cool1:

Sorry I have not been around the past few days. I did not even have time to turn on the computer at all yesterday and proabably should not have today. I have so much to get ready for my sub. He wants all 6 weeks of lesson plans, copies and tests by next Friday. I am almost there--just got to make the copies. Which is harder than it seems--for one benchmark like graphs---I am pulling from 7 different books and making copies--that is only for a 2 week period. Now I have to make comments on each page before the copies are made for the kids--it will be their step by step instructions. I teach very low level students so I really need to make all the comments. I have 6 weeks of lessons and still need to make all the study guides for my kids that are in regular science and social studies--that is about 4 guides per subject.

My bag is packed and the house is clean, but DH leaves soon. I am going to make meals this weekend to freeze. I will also redo Joshua's room--put up toddler bed and just rearrange. Other than that I will be doing school work. Just very busy this last week.

Everything is still good with baby--my leg is still swollen and they are thinking that it is now just fluid--but not swelling like fluid should swell---don't follow that. It is still very tight and red, but just a little swollen now. So that may be the case.

Andrew ran in another Cross Country meet last night with 15 other schools. Out of a little over 100 middle school students he placed 18th. He came in first for his school. We are so proud of him.

I need to go--maybe I can pop in later.

SAFE TRAVELS TO ALL WHO ARE GOING TO THE MEET!!! I WILL BE THERE IN SPIRIT!!

Sandy and her family arrived to WDW! Her daughter was a bit nervous and did get on the plane but got sick first.

Then because of her nervousness they put on a movie for them to help calm her nerves.

She says thanks for the prayers in helping them get there.

Sigh. Wish I was there!

For anyone who is doing the South Beach diet, or who would like to try it, I found a fantastic link (sorry if this has already been mentioned in the past 3,000 pages!):

http://kalynskitchen.blogspot.com/

This woman lives is a Salt Lake City schoolteacher who lost over 40 pounds on South Beach. The recipes look soooo good. Plus, her method sounds simple: she made the recipes in large quantities and froze them. If I did that I would be less tempted to eat other pre-prepared or fast foods (which are patently NOT on the South Beach diet!).

Happy Friday!

Another good idea is to freeze the meals in individual containers so all you unfreeze is the right portion size.

What I did on that is make a large meal, fix our plates, then immediately pack up the rest. But I think freezing would be less tempting for seconds.

Although they say on this plan if you are hungry eat. They don't harp too much on portion control. Just don't go hog wild.

I going to assume I am a shamer this week!

Me too.....:guilty:

I am soo glad that Sandy's daughter got on the plane. Unfortunately she got sick, but being at Disney should perk her spirits! :woohoo: Hopefully she'll enjoy the trip.

I really wish I was there with all of you, but someone needs to keep the thread going! :rotfl: Looks like there are a "few" of us that will still be here.

UM...I  Nora's dress!!! You did a great job on it!:cool1: I am VERY impressed with you! You are a "threadmama" in more ways than one!!! :thumbsup2 BTW...where did "little" Nora go??? She looks so grown up!

abish...Thanks for the site of recipes! I do better on South Beach and really need to be focused here. That site will help me with meal planning, making and freezing them for future meals. :yay:

Oh my! I just reread my post. I meant to post I'm assuming I'm a samer this week - funny, and probably more correct, was that I posted shamer! :rotfl2: Freudian slip!

I'm a loser and a gainer. I had gained all week and managed to lose a little of the gain...but still is a gain this week of +1.8. :headache:

Last year I had gained 15 pounds in the 10 days with the walking. So I am going to try to chose fish or chicken. That's what I said last year. Crap!

Abish- thanks for that link. I'll get serious when I get back. That squash on the front page of that link looks delicious! Fall must be here!

Ok, travelers, be safe and I'll see you soon!

Stayers- we love you and hope you are safe and well and healthy!!!!

Have a great time. Don;t worry about the gain---remember everything at disney is magical so the pounds don't count.
