MonyMony- Monica Great big sloppy :grouphug: Of course you have so much going on - thank you for sharing, and I have more info as I lift you up in prayer!! Be confident in our prayers - together we are strong in prayer!! You will call on His AWESOME power - His Angels will be commanded to be around you and strengthen you - take His power my friend!! When dd was coming - it was a comedy of errors, or just one Doc with an inflated ego - anyway... for the 7 months I knew I was PG my prayer was for the night - the pushing, I knew I could handle the pregnancy incubation period, even labor pains are ok, but Dear Lord, pushing the 10#ers out, please, take that fear away - I gave it to Him, and I believed... That night, the doctor thought to start inducing me at 8am, he did not believe the n urse when she called to tell him I was in labor at midnight... then I forgot back labor and moving down the birth canal kinda is the same... but when I thought I was going to embarrass myself, dh frantically called for a nurse, I rolled over and out popped DD - and no, no one but our Dear Lord was there to catch her!! Talk about making nurses move fast!! But I did feel His presence - and you will too Monica - just trust yourself, and trust your faith - and hang on to ours when you doubt - because we know He is true!! :grouphug:

I like these choices - thanks for sharing!!

WELCOME WELCOME WELCOME!! Now we post our weigh in day + or minus on Fridays in BOLD RED - and we've all posted a pic of ourselves, some of us in swimsuits... :rolleyes1

Truly, come on in, make yourself comfy, post often and make this place yours!!

 Monica. I have never been pregnant or gone through childbirth so I don't have a first hand experience but I think it must be completely normal to be feeling what you are feeling...especially if in the past there were some complications.

Why won't they let DH in for your spinal?

I'm bringing out the reserves pixie dust and I'll be saying an extra prayer for you, your family and the whole medical team that it is the smoothest (and quickest) C-section ever.

When exactly will you be delivering? Are you checking in at 7...or is that the surgery time?

:grouphug:

100_0369.jpg

Isn't she beautiful? I swear people were stopping me everywhere to ask about her. I turned her on in a few dark rides where kids were crying (like Haunted Mansion) and told the kids, "Look, Tink is here!", and they stopped crying. How's that for pixie dust?

Wooo hoootie for him! Now you have to tell him you bragged and how thrilled we all are for him, so he can be embarrassed but secretly proud.

I'm guessing you might not see this for awhile, but at church this morning they asked us if we had anyone we wanted to pray for. I said your name out loud, and everyone prayed for you. All the best for you and baby.

We get that from our kids too. We tell them we have a room, but they don't really want us to go there now, do they?

Oooh, I know what it means! I'm like that woman in DaVinci Code.
Hooray for you, but around here, the answer to "Guess what?" is "Chicken butt!" It started with a b-day card my D-niece bought DS.

I am going to be there at 5 am. Scheduled at 7am.
Don't know why they don't let DH in when getting the spiral. I was told hospital policy.

You all are so great. I finally got off the couch to shower. I'm lucky if I slept 2 hours. I have had a backache since yesterday afternoon. Took my shower and kissed all the kids.

I think maybe we picked the day the baby was gonna come anyways. This backache is getting to me which starts the anxiety.:rotfl:

Thanks for all your prayers. I appreciate it. Really.

Here we go..................................

HAPPY BIRTHING DAY, MONICA!

I will be praying for you as well!!! I am very excited for you guys can't wait for my turn. When Joshua was born I was soooo emotionally drained that when I took the older two where they were staying I started crying --I am not a crier!!! I know that you are anxious about all the what if's but God has a peace for you and your family. Also, they will not let DH in for the spinal here as well. Sendinf Prayers and pixiedust:

I hope that everyone has a great day. I am starting to feel under the weather. With school starting back, Joshua's cold, and this darn heat it has finally gotten to me. I can barely swallow and I feel a major CRUD coming on. I guess I will be drinking lots of OJ. Overslept a little so I need to go and get the kids up.

Dene (and others who have done the whole online dating thing)...looking for your thoughts.

Yes I am in my fake relationship with A., but we aren't exclusive by any means, so I bit the bullet and rejoined Match.com despite my not so great experiences the last time I joined.

I don't know if I'm just being too picky, but I tell you what. The people that email or wink at me are strange...and its not just the immediate lack of physical attraction. Their profiles are crazy. One guy, who I chose to overlook the fact that he looked like a serial killer, said about 5 times in his profile that he is a workaholic and mentioned a few other not so nice traits about himself. That's fine and dandy I guess but not so smart to put in your profile which is everyone's first impression of you. Another guy is harassing me and has "asked for my friendship" about 4 times, despite my "no thanks" response. Then there are the decent ones that I wink at or email and never get a response from. I don't get it. I know I deserve better then what is jumping out at me. That's for darn sure.

I guess I'm just wondering if you just go on a lot of dates despite not feeling an initial attraction from their profile and through emails, etc.? Or do you feel that attraction but then it doesn't really pan out once you meet? Make sense? I know I can be picky, but honestly, their profiles are not so flattering towards themselves.

If anyone has access to match profiles, my name there is the same as on here. Maybe someone hijacked my profile and posted "Lonely desperate girl seeks losers and weirdos"?

BB....I think my blood pressure doubles when I watch this show now. All the yelling and fighting. Good grief. And who didn't laugh out loud when Amber said "excuse me" after a burp while praying out loud alone in her room?

I met DH off Match.com 3 years ago. I was using Match and Yahoo Personals for a few years before that too. I have some stories that would have your mouths hitting the floor...stories that my friends still want me to retell!! lol Anyway, I went by looks right away when I ruled people out...I do remember making a few exceptions if the guy had horses. ;) It never worked out though...I guess I am too superficial. If I liked a guy I would email them back and forth for a week before I called them. That was a good test b/c if they just wanted a one night stand they usually didn't have the patience for the emails. Then we would talk on the phone for another week. I ruled a lot of guys out just by how they carried themselves on the phone. You can figure out if he has manners or just any respect for you at all. Then, if everything was still great, I would agree to meet. Most of the time the dates went ok but there were those few who just wanted a little action. A few turned out to be super needy. A few I dated for awhile. You just have to be patient b/c there is a lot of garbage to weed out. Don't fall for every nice guy b/c some of the guys on there know just how to work it. I think online dating is a great tool....have fun with it. Don't ever get your hopes up too high. When I finally relaxed a bit I bet DH. :wizard:

/
Monica...just wanted to say I've said a prayer for your delivery today, as it may be in progress or over, not really sure of time differences! :cutie: YAY! You're having a baby!!!!

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!! Did some catching up and quoting up this A.M....boy am i productive at work :lmao:

Think I found the perfect man today...

Too bad he lives in Belfast, Northern Ireland! :lmao:

Irish accents RULE...and really, whats a 5 hour flight to meet someone as fabulous as you!!

Dene (and others who have done the whole online dating thing)...looking for your thoughts.

I hear ya! i did match.com for about 3 months prior to meeting Greg..about 3 years ago..and HOLY CRAP, the weirdos i met or that "winked" at me. I was always thinking.." seriously, what is wrong with me that i attract this??" And the "normals" i actually went out with, no sparks..and one of them ended up being such a freak that i thought for sure i would end up a "skin suit":scared: its tough..but you never know..i have a couple of friends that are married and super happy that met through match...

:wave2:

I hope that everyone takes care and continues to make ground on their weight loss efforts. I will certainly try to stop in every couple of weeks to say hi and to see how everyone is doing. I'm going to miss everyone of you.

Bye.

Fran

Good luck on your endeavors!! Pop in from time to time! :)

I had a very, very bad eating weekend. Yesterday was Mexican and tonight was McD's. I did okay on the lunches but not dinners.

However, today we:
-cleaned out master bedroom, spare bedroom, and hall closets and drawers. HUGE bag of stuff for the goodwill!
-stripped and washed both beds
-cleaned out kitchen drawers
-put up sheers on 2 windows in the living room and the tiebacks for the curtains
-took every single frackin' thing out of the garage, cleaned it out well, and put/organized everything back in. Both cars, including my honkin' SUV, fit in now!
-mowed and edged the lawn since it was only 92 today

Whee! I am exhausted, but hopefully the hot tub will keep me from being too sore tomorrow. I am also enjoying a beer. :)

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Busy Bee! I totally hear you about the eating though, we had house guests and went out to eat all weekend  ...but i woke up this morning and did my 2 mile WATP dvd and crunches..i want good numbers friday!!

Here we go..................................

YAY...thinking of you!

That is one of the worst. .not being able to swallow..something about a sore throat just makes your whole body feel crummy...feel better soon!!!

You got 'em! I was just talking about on-line dating to two women at a party last night... they're both tired of it... for pretty much the same reasons you're describing.

Uh, yeah! Lot's of weird going on. One guy that that emailed me today is either very intense/passionate or a stalker/serial killer... seriously.

Yes, you do deserve better... and I HATE being ignored! I know they read my e-mail (cuz I pay extra to see that)... I know they read my profile (at least I don't have to pay to see that)... they just never respond! At least tell me "no thanks"! My friend, Beth, said there are lots more women than men on there... so they guys "have their pick" and will sometimes leave women hanging while they work on someone else.

That's my problem. And one reason I got the new pictures is so, hopefully, I'll attract a higher quality of weirdo... I mean man. ;) (Although both my daughter and mother said my favorite pic doesn't look like me... it looks more like the person I see in the mirror than any picture I've had in years!... They each said I was prettier in person... so I guess I can forgive them.)

And you wrote "make sense"... have you noticed how many of those guys have a good "sence" of humor? :rotfl: Dude! Get a spell checker... typos are okay, but when you misspell the same word 3 times!

or type in all lower case without any punction whatsoever it starts to bug me i cant stand it

THAT, OR TYPING EVERYTHING IN ALL CAPS!

It's the two pictures with the red demon eyes and the dog with the glowing demon eyes... that or that you like Gilmore Girls... JUST KIDDING (well, not about the Gilmore Girls... just kidding)! Looks pretty normal to me. Might expand some of you date descriptions... blue eyes is the only thing you have. That may be what you "prefer"... but is it a deal breaker? Also, the his religion and marital status (what if he is a great guy that is divorced or a widow?... could happen). I understand you on the "none" for kids... raised somebody else's kids plus my own... don't want more. But, what if he has a child that he doesn't see often (like in another state, only sees at certain holidays or a bit of the summer)?

The women at the party and I came to the conclusion that the majority of the guys are jerks or weird... the ones that would be good are either snatched up quickly or they are REALLY gun-shy because the wife or girlfriend hurt them... bad. They usually have clues like how they repeatedly say they want an "honest" woman, etc. My cousin in California is a really nice guy... his problem with the online stuff was when he'd find a woman, she only wanted him so he could take care of her and her kids.

I'd hate an arranged marriage... but it sure would solve a lot of problems. And if it didn't work, we could just blame our parents and the matchmakers.

OMG! I just had the most HORRIBLE thought! You know how a long time ago, when a man would die, sometimes his brother would marry the widow? Oh, yuck!!!!!! My two BILs!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :scared1: :scared:

Thanks so much for your thoughts Dene...I'll admit to being picky but I just was thinking that this is WAY more than me being picky. And yes..one of my biggest annoyances are the ones who use absolutely no punctuation/grammar and tons of misspellings. Are you on myspace? If so, I dedicated an entire blog to my last adventures of match. Let me know if you want to check it out. I think I may have found more info to update with in the past week. I went through and looked through my profile last night as well and made some changes but I didn't even realize I said I only wanted blue eyes...so not a deal breaker for me. I'll have to go check that part out again. Thanks! :goodvibes

I thought snogging was a Harry Potter word... like muggles! And I didn't realize it was French kissing... not just kissing!

:rotfl: Yep I knew what snogging was...I also heard it mentioned on an episode of Gilmore Girls

We get that from our kids too. We tell them we have a room, but they don't really want us to go there now, do they?

Ooooh now that is good! :thumbsup2

I met DH off Match.com 3 years ago. I was using Match and Yahoo Personals for a few years before that too. Thanks for your thoughts too! Like I said to Dene, I know I can be picky. But even if the email creeps me out or the pic leaves nothing to be desired, I still take a look at their profile and try to give them the benefit of the doubt. But then their profiles seem to be just as weird as their pictures  Every few days I take a look and wink at a few people, email the ones I really like and just wait and see. I've got nothing to lose.

Hey...anyone know a really great way to wake up in the morning? Having A. call you :goodvibes (returning your call from last night to answer questions you had about a test :rolleyes1 ) But he still called me back...the last 2 times I called him awhile back I never got a call back. He still hasn't started the 1st test and its due tonight...and its all he's been talking about (how much work its gonna be, that he really needs to start on them soon, etc.) No wonder he has no time for a serious girlfriend...he'd forget to get dressed if he didn't walk by a mirror.

oooh, I wonder if the new peeplet is here yet? So exciting! Hope all of you have a great day! :cutie:

Dene and Shannon~ for the trials of dating. My sis is going through it too. She will disparinly say "I'm a single cuz no one wants me." It makes me sad because she really wants to have a relationship and maybe a family. Dene, I loved your pix. I know you are older but if you didn't gine an age, you'd easily pass for being in you low to mid 30's. As far as relocations, it's not as far as Ireland but my uncle moved from South Dakota to Arizona to be with his wife.

Monica~ I said a prayer as soon as I got up this morning. I hope your surgery is over by now and everything is going well. :welcome: to the world baby peeplet!

UMa~ So glad you found some funds. We weren't so lucky but cancelling when we did gave me the opportunity to go back to school so I should be able to get a better job. :goodvibes

Things are much better here. DH took me out to my favorite Greek place for lunch on Fri to help make up for the menareputz and the extra stress of the week. We cleaned the garage yesterday and I've been working on learning to use video editing software. I was going to use some of my Disney pix to make a slideshow and when I went to get teh pix, I couldn't find them. We had computer problems in late Apr/early May and both our laptop and desktop computers crashed. DH thought he downloaded everything before it was too late but he actually archived several files, including my pictures. They were all corrupted and we can't recover them :sad1: Not only did I lose my vacation stuff, I lost everything I had worked on for my jewelry so I could create a portfolio. I had over 30 new designs that I was working on plus pix of my finished designs. Live and learn I guess. I'm going to have to invest in a few more flash drives, makesure I have things backed up to a drive and a disk so I don't lose anything else.

HAPPY BIRTHING DAY, MONICA!
:grouphug: We love you, sweetie! :grouphug:
Lots of prayers headed your way for you and your sweet baby this morning!

Wait a minute - Monica I believe is in Michigan - I spent the morning in prayer - and I love the peace - I cant wait to hear your journey!! and I think we need to take a road trip!!

Danielle I WANT that pin,, I NEED that pin!! How cute is that!! Thank you for sharing the pic... we're envious!! I do love the magic of getting the kids to stop crying - I bring the Libby Loo glitter and ask the mom if I can spread some Pixie Dust - that fascinates them too!! CM's as well love it!!

Hello Everyone!

Sorry I have not been on for a while, last week was ridiculously busy as my co-worker was out of the office so I was doing double duty. And then of all things our computer crashed at home! UGH! We signed up for the digital tv, phone & cable and when they hooked up the new modem we could not link to the internet. The cable company says it's our computer and our computer company (Gateway) says it's the modem from the cable company. The cable company came back to our home yesterday (yes, on a Sunday!) and replaced the modem but we still could not access the internet(they think a bug got into the computer and then couldn't handle the high speed upgrade). We then followed their instructions of deleting everything on our computer, thank goodness we had a second hard drive for music. We were able to move anything we wanted to save onto there, then we cleared the old hard drive and downloaded all the start-up discs. Still nothing! Of course the computer company wants us to send the hard drive to them for repair, but is it really worth it? So we are going computer shopping tonight. Anyone else have that problem with their computer ever?

I must say now that I have digital cable with all the extra channels (plus free Showtime), I have been able to watch BB Afterdark, well we DVR it because it's on from midnight to 3:00 a.m. But I knew who was nominated and who won the Veto before it was aired Sunday. And it's definitely different to them interact for 3:00 at a time. We would fast forward through a lot of it because sometimes they were just playing beer pong for hours, or watching Amber go through her hair & make-up routine (boring!).

As a side note, I stayed the same with my weight this week, and am happy with that.

I hope everyone is doing well! I will need to catch up on the thread as I see I've missed pages & pages.

Wait a minute - Monica I believe is in Michigan - I spent the morning in prayer - and I love the peace - I cant wait to hear your journey!! and I think we need to take a road trip!!

Road trip!!! I'll join you but you have to promise to bring the next scrapbooks with you.

I love the pin too! I'm not a huge Tink fan but that one is so cute. I like to help with upset little ones. It really helps diffuse a situation before everyone has a melt down. That's why we always had stickers and things at work so when teh kids got bored, was tired or cranky, we'd have soemthing for them to take their minds off being there.

Tammy~ Our desktop and laptop crashed in the same week. The laptop was easy to fix but the desktop was another story. We tried doing what the IT person said and wiped it then re-installed everything, no go. Second set of disks sent out, tried again, still no go. Finally they asked us to send the computer to them. We were a bit unhappy about it but it was the only way we might be able to get our computer fixed. Mind you, this system was only 8 mos old and still under warrantee, we had never had a problem with our computers before so to have this type of a headache with a newer system was frustrating. When we got our system back, it would not start up; at all! We at least had the blue screen before. Finally DH told them after 3 weeks and I don't know how many hours on the phone trying to get this fixed; that they were going to send a repair tech out to look at it. They guy shows up, declares our hard drive fried and says we need a new one. Well, that's what they had it at the repair facility for. Tech gets on teh phone, verifies this, states our system in unrepairable and gets them to authorize a whole new system!!!!!!:woohoo: This in not just any system either, it has 4 different card slots for my camera cards, 4 SUB ports, all the fun colored a/v inputs, a CD/DVD burner with lightscribe, and if we set it up, we can actually watch TV on our computer. Dh was almost drooling when we got it.

Good luck getting everything sorted out. I've BTDT with all the computer stuff so I know it can really drive you crazy.

Lets not go there with computers here please!!

Noni - why didnt I think of the roadtrip deal when I sent dd to camp in Kalamazoo MI - Angola IN - is only 5 min from Ohio!!

DIET TIPS!!!

YOU on a DIET by Dr. Oz and Dr. Roizen

Dr. Roizen was on a PBS Special, so listen up - TOGETHER we CAN do this!!

The First 14 Days Couldn't Be Easier

1. Find a diet buddy -- join the message boards.
2. Clean out the fridge -- and use the menu planner to refill it.
3. Walk every day -- and do the 20-minute workout.
4. Measure your waist -- and track the changes. In just 2 weeks, you'll be solidly on the road to success, and your waist will probably be 2 inches smaller!

http://www.realage.com/doctorCenter/intro.aspx

So grab a buddy and commit to yourself to do 30 min of walking - I'm grabbing Fidge!!

Are You in Need of a YOU-Turn?
It's normal to feel that staying on track during the summer isn't easy. But no one said that success was easy. With the smells of barbecue creeping through the backyard, a healthy diet can be a chore to maintain, and hitting 10,000 steps in sweltering heat isn't so appealing, either. But rather than looking at the summer as a downer, realize that the challenge is all the more reason to show the world what you're made of. If for no other incentive, prove to yourself that not even a sizzling cheeseburger can keep YOU from hitting your goal.

Following in the footsteps of our friends at Canada AM, push yourself just a bit farther: Instead of gritting through 10,000 steps, challenge yourself to 11,000. Or keep a food journal to let your fingers know that you see them inching toward the cupboard, and that they better move away from the snacks. Setting a goal a little beyond your reach may ignite your dormant drive.

Now, don't get too far ahead of yourself. The best way to increase or decrease caloric intake is in baby steps. If you want these steps to turn into strides, make them realistic. Increasing your daily walking to 15,000 steps could be too much at first, and the last thing you're interested in is getting stuck in bed with an injury.

Also, your body may not be ready to crank up the heat just yet, and that's okay. Let your insides do the talking: If you feel great, keep up that extra work. But if you're dragging, cut back a bit. There's no shame in trying.

So Peeps lets take that U-Turn Get back on track!!

One thing that hit me hard watching this special...

IF you had BREAST CANCER - what would you do? So the Doctors say to measure your waist and if your waist is over... 47 inches I believe then its as if you have Breast cancer... Think about it...

Now join me...

Walk Every Day
Dr. Roizen says you absolutely must walk at least 30 minutes every day. "There's a hurricane? You walk 30 minutes a day," he says. "Earthquake—30 minutes a day. Tornado—30 minutes a day. Snowstorm—30 minutes a day."

Guess Whaaaaaat???!!!

:cool1: :yay: :dance3: :cheer2: :ssst: ::MickeyMo
