WOW, you are doing so great, Hockeycat! Dieting AND exercising! Way to go! :thumbsup2

Thanks!! I really find I need to do both... each keeps me on track somehow. After all the torture at the gym, makes it harder to indulge later.

I am also TERRIFIED of loose skin, and the exercise makes me feel like I might have some control over keeping everything where it belongs.

i totally read that as, "force myself to choke down at one AM and one in the afternoon." so i'm picturing kat setting the alarm for 1:00 a.m., getting up in her PJs, going to the kitchen, filling up her 32 oz. bottle and chugging it down in the dark, then getting up like every 10 minutes for the rest of the night to pee! :rotfl2:

:lmao:

I am having the most awful day.I am checking in here instead of doing what I really want to do-binge eat.AF came today along with horrible cramps and cravings,DH has hurt his toe pretty badly so I am taking care of him,Peyton is being more sassy mouthed than usual, and Rachel won't stop crying!I swear that child cries over absolutely everything lately! It got worse while I was working 60 hrs a week over the holidays and it doesn't seem to be getting better.Sorry to vent...

...

BTW,I don't always comment on what is going on here but I am reading every day and getting alot of support...

 Sorry you had a bad day. Hope today is better!!

Bonnie, funny I was looking for something to support what my sister told me yesterday how we eliminate fat and she said it was from all the peeing we do from drinking water. Not sure. I'm sure it's a combination of several things.

I did find this great article about drinking water. Chug a lug everyone!

water article-good read

Awesome article!! I am glad I read that, makes choking the water down a lot easier. Fat flush, whee!!

Lynda, . So sorry you had to cancel.

My food for yesterday:
B: coffee, SF oatmeal (100)
L: salad (100), WW Chicken Santa Fe (140), Activia yogurt (70)
D: 2 pieces stuffed tilapia (260), potato (100), broccoli (40)
S: 1 bag FF popcorn (180), ff hot dog (40), zinger (100), SF pudding (60)
Total: ~1200. Exercise, 25 min on elliptical, 45 min of weights.

Hope everyone has a great day!!

I am having the most awful day.

wow......sounds like you had a doozie! hope today's better.

Well its official I just booked my honeymoon and We are going to DISNEY -LAND!!! for 4 nights 5 days on our way back from Maui!

:woohoo: sounds like a blast to me!!!!! you have so much to look forward to this year!

Well, I am still at home. We are NOT going to Disneyland this weekend.

i'm so sorry, lynda!   i know how disappointed you must be. i'm sure josh feels terrible, too. i agree with sandy and melinda - do something fun this weekend to try to get your mind off not going! i believe that everything happens for a reason and there's SOME REASON you guys aren't going on your trip. at least you have the trip to look forward to in december. :flower3:

I was not a very peepish person today. I didn't eat when i got up because we had to run an errand. I got home and had a very starch filled lunch. I ate a nice dinner at work but gave into the no bake chocolate oatmeal cookies. (140 cals, 8g fat, 2g fiber= 3 extra pts) Dh was my downfall though, he wanted Taco Bell when I got home. I don't normally eat that late but it sounded good. I had soft tacos and a diet soda. 15 pts!!! :headache: I was doing so good too, I don't know why I do this to myself. I got on the TM and did a mile in 15 min 8 sec but I know I didn't burn nearly enough of the extra calories. I had over 30 pts today, using almost half of my flex pts for the week. I have to be strong and do better. I can do this!

at least you got on the treadmill. most people would give up for the day after eating poorly, but you didn't! :thumbsup2 i've never done WW so i don't know if 30 points is horrible or just slightly bad.

Go for a walk or some kind of exercise.

anna and i were on the phone earlier this morning and i told her i'm protesting the gym today because it's rainy and dreary and i have AF and just don't feel like leaving the house (TOTALLY not like me, so i'm giving in to this other "person" because she doesn't come around often) and she said she had some new fitness DVDs. so she's bringing over a cardio belly dancing workout for me try this afternoon......fun! (i wish they had a belly dancing smiley!) i'll let you guys know if it's a good workout or not.....may be something i need to purchase if it is!

Hi All

The weather here is horrible today! Tons of rain, and the river levels are up again - hope we aren't headed for more flooding!

DisneyFreak - Sorry about your trip.

LMO429 - Your honeymoon sounds awesome! Im glad you got it booked!

Mony - That water website is cool, makes me want to get the full 2 litres down my neck! I find it easier to drink the water at room temperature, if its too cold im running to the bathroom every 5 minutes! :rotfl:

Hope everyones having a good day, 50 minutes till I finish work!

Oh Dawn, that belly dancing dvd sounds good! Im umming and ahhing about buying the new Dirty Dancing (the film, not actual dirty dancing!:lmao: ) exercise dvd - although I would have to make sure my house was empty, and the curtains were closed before I would even attempt it! :rotfl:

Well, I am still at home. We are NOT going to Disneyland this weekend. Our flight for tomorrow was cancelled due to mechanical failure, and that was all it took to push DH over the edge. He didn't think he could do it, and if we didn't cancel tonight, we would lose ALL the money as opposed to half. The next flight out that we could be guaranteed seats next to each other on was about 6 hours later. After a LOT of :sad1: , we have decided to cancel this trip, and we are planning to go for a longer trip out there next December instead of WDW. And I don't know what we are doing yet this weekend. We are trying to figure it out right now. So, I'll check in later on Peeps. Just wanted to let you all know what was going on.

Sweetie!!!! I'm so sorry! I don't know what to say so I'll just

Hey there, Peeps! It's my lunch hour. I had two of those Jack Link beef stick/cheese stick snacks for lunch. TASTY. Plus I am having a diet coke. I have already drank 64 oz. of water today and will continue drinking more throughout the day. Atkins makes me THIRSTY!

Hope you are all having a skinny day. Weigh-in tomorrow! :cool1:

Oh nooooo!!! :sad1: I'm so sorry. I hope you still manage to have a great weekend, and get to go to DL really soon.

every night this week a huge Raccoon has jumped on our roof, and dh goes running outside with his head lamp to chase it away!! :sad2:

:rotfl2: I have never seen a real, live raccoon. Only dead 'coon carcasses in the road sometimes.

GOOD MORNING, EVERYONE! :sunny:

Lynda! :grouphug: Take off and go SOMEWHERE for the weekend!

LMO...Disneyland, Maui, and Disneyworld! It's gonna be a good year! :cool1:

Amy....I don't know how you held out! I'm soooo proud of you! Preteen girls can be verrrrrrry frustrating! I know!

Bonnie.... :lmao: Burn that fat, sister!

EVERYBODY!
:wave2:

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Hey there, Sexy Lexy! I am burning fat...my breath is extra hideous for your sniffing pleasure. :thumbsup2 Are you staying away from the boozy glowtinis, missy? Those are not good for your diet!

Oh Lynda... I am so, so sorry. I almost cried for you when I read your post. I hope you found another, fun way to spend your weekend!

Well, yesterday was a  day, diet wise. I did keep my cals <1600 and did some strenghtening exercises, but not what I should have been doing. Must get on treadmill tonight. :headache:

Okay, so I was at home on Monday watching Dr Phil (car trouble, didn't get to work, long story). I never watch Dr Phil, but the promo caught me. He was doing a show on dating... decided to watch thought maybe I could learn something. I haven't been dating much in the past few years and had deluded myself into the "all the good ones are gone" fantasy. Well, watching the show, I think that I just don't put myself out there enough. How am I going to meet someone if all I do is work and then go home and spend the evening with the dog. Well where is a "good" girl supposed to meet a "good" guy -- I am not a bar/club person. Don't like them. I do go to church, but the availability of single guys is LOW. So I finally bit the bullet and signed-up for online dating through eharmony. Don't know if it'll work out, but I'm going to give it six months. Anybody have experience with online dating that would like to share some tips (and yes I do remember that interesting story told a few months ago...)?

When I was in High School I was addicted to The Firm workouts. The original version volume one with Susan Harris is probably the best and hardest of all the firms I have done. Anyway I wiped out and wiped the dust off of the Volume One on Dvd today and just got done doing it.....

OMG!!!! it was so hard!!!! I really felt the burn!!! I forgot how awesome that workout is! It was funny though cuz they are all wearing unitards, legwarmers and high top sneakers but whatever it is still a great workout.

if you are looking for an overall total body workout that kicks in alot of lower body I highly suggest you get this workout. It a great alternative if you cant get to the gym

Im going to try and to this workout once a week until I go to Disney

i don't personally but my dad, who split up from my ex-stepmom after 21 years of marriage a few years back, tried it. he met a couple of nice women. but what he found was that they would seem interested, then disappear for awhile and then all of the sudden call him back. he got really annoyed at that. we figured they were probably checking out their other "connections" they had been given when they weren't calling him. so you have to keep in mind that anyone you date from there is probably talking other people besides you, at least at the beginning. i hope it will work for you! :goodvibes

well, i'm getting ready to do it here in a few minutes so i'll let you know how it goes. i need a break from work so i'm gonna get off my butt and go do it. there's nobody here to watch me except the dogs and they already think i'm crazy!

It was funny though cuz they are all wearing unitards, legwarmers and high top sneakers but whatever it is still a great workout.

i have about 3 or 4 of those tapes and all mine are the raging '80's fitness fashions, too. i have a question: what's the purpose of a belt with a leotard???? :confused3

A belt with a leotard? Ahhhh, those were the days.

Plus stylish double slouchy socks or legwarmers.

Legwarmers with jeans was the best!

Well its official I just booked my honeymoon and We are going to DISNEY -LAND!!! for 4 nights 5 days on our way back from Maui!

Can you believe that The Grand Californian is almost sold out for the dates i want in OCTOBER..scary! The travel agent just called me and said she was able to get us a Parkview Room.

I was just thinking of all the things I have going on this year to motivate me but sometimes I still want to just want to fat out.

I have my bachelorette party at WDW in May. My wedding day and my honeymoon in Maui & disneyland..if the above doesnt motivate me..nothing will!

Where are you getting married in Maui? DS31 and his wife got married there 9 months ago at the Olowalu Plantation south of Lahaina. A beautiful oceanfront setting (although I'd wanted them to get married at the Grand Wailea). They honeymooned in Fiji while the rest of us stayed and hung out in Maui for a week. 50 of us went over and everyone really enjoyed it.

In honor of the wedding dress discussion, here is a wedding pic:
fountainsmall.JPG

I actually bought my dress about 3 yrs (and 30 lbs, good thing I got it big!) before the wedding, so I had to do some power dieting to fit into it. Plus a really, really good undergarment. ;)

I was about 5-10 lbs lighter in that pic than I am now. And the reason it was so long before the wedding is that, well, I sort of bought it to marry a different guy than I ended up with (long, long story and a lot less Springer than it sounds).

the belly dancing DVD was completely ridiculously lame. i felt like the whole thing was a warm up. and the music was NOT music to do belly dancing to.....it was like yoga music! so i put in my REAL cardio DVD afterwards and did that. the woman in it is australian and soooooo tiny and she moves 5 times quicker than a normal human being so supposed to.....but at least it gets your heartrate up! :yay:

Wow your DS wedding sounds beautiful! I would love to go to Fiji but I hate to fly. I am sucking it up with the planes on the way to Maui (we fly to dallas have a layoff over and then go to Maui) that is why we are stopping at disneyland on the way back ...this honeymoon is way to much flying for me! I really wanted to go to Italy for 10 days and then disneyworld on the way back but my fiance wouldnt have it.

We are getting married in New Jersey at a reception place called Stirling Ridge.

We are going for 9 days to Maui (from ny) and then Disneyland for a couple of days. In Maui we are staying at The Four Seasons and in Disneyland we are staying at The Grand Californian.

This sounds wonderful. DH and I did almost 3 weeks in Italy last year and loved it but I think you have made a better choice for a honeymoon. We were so exhausted after Italy and we needed another vacation--just too much to see (and the hotel qualities are not the same as here and for a honeymoon, you should have the best of the best). The Four Seasons is a beautiful hotel and the beaches in that area are some of the best in the world.

And it's a good thing you didn't pick Fiji. The kids had to fly in some little 4 seater over to the private island where they were staying. They are adventurous travelers but they were even freaked out by that little plane.

I'll be looking forward to hearing more of the details!

BUMMER!!!!!!! Sorry to hear that Lynda..i like to think that everything happens for a reason though..perhaps the vacation you end up going on will be the BEST VACATION EVER when you go....I hope you do have a great weekend anyway and do fun stuff.

the belly dancing DVD was completely ridiculously lame. i felt like the whole thing was a warm up. and the music was NOT music to do belly dancing to.....it was like yoga music! so i put in my REAL cardio DVD afterwards and did that. the woman in it is australian and soooooo tiny and she moves 5 times quicker than a normal human being so supposed to.....but at least it gets your heartrate up! :yay:

lol..i think i totally know what dvd you are talking about with the "yoga" belly dancing music..i have it on VHS.lol...it is pretty lame and def. NOT cardio..i used to use it as a cool down dvd after I kickboxed!

I am a bit nervous for weigh in tommorow..i've been a peepish peep all week but i am not going to be resting easy till i see some sort of drop in the digits tommorow!! BL weigh in at curves is Monday, so that means i have to stay on track ALL WEEKEND....give me strength..esp. during the Patriots GAME on Saturday night!!!! :scared1:

oh, and funny story. i was getting some extra bars from the weight room floor to bring into the group fitness room in the middle of class because we ran out. so i brought one in, gave it to anna and was leaving the room to go get myself one. keep in mind i'm in a hurry because we're in the middle of class. anna asks me how much the bar i brought her weighs and i'm looking back as i'm walking and telling her and not looking where i'm going and i ran RIGHT INTO THE WALL!!!! everyone in class just winces for me when i do it because i'm sure it looked awful! i just turned around and pointed to the wall and said, "there's a wall there, in case you guys didn't know," and just left the room to go get my bar. my eyes watered so bad for the next few minutes. i hope my nose isn't black and blue tomorrow!

i gotta say- i would have prolly gotten tickled at that site...i have sucha rude sense of humor, i' would have checked on you first tho!

I am having the most awful day.

girl, call me, i could have brought you some snacks! i take the grocery store to work nowadays to keep me out of the vending machines...

i dont know why rae does that to you, she's such a sweetie for me:cutie: but i feel your pain, been there and done that with trev

every night this week a huge Raccoon has jumped on our roof, and dh goes running outside with his head lamp to chase it away!! :sad2:

i picture him in his boxers and boots with a flashlight and a shovel...oh wait thats my DH and it was a possum in the yard...

oooo and tight rolled jeans!!! remember those? and you had to wear them with a Members only jacket and white reebok hightop sneaks...
