I just updated my TR which is th PEEP Meet at Kona!

Has Sandy, Aries, DisneyFreak Lynda, and LexMelinda as co-stars :cool2:

How is everyone!!!! OOOps, I still need to tally yesterdays totals. Sorry!!!!!!!:sad2: Such an Doofus Von Poofus lately! Does Christmas scramble your brain too?
DH and I were just talking about Christmas brain. At one point I forgot that I had already shopped for DD. I was in a panic and all set to shop all over again. Then I remembered I'd hidden her stuff in the garage.

Most of my weight gain appears to have been temporary. I went to the gym, and 2 1/2 lbs. disappeared since yesterday. I guess I'll just leave the posted weight the way it is, and should be able to post a loss on Christmas.

Hope everyone is enjoying these days up to Christmas. We had a lovely day today. We went back to Gilroy Gardens to see DD at work and the Christmas lights.

Bally's is going to do their free 8 week Discovery Health Challenge again this year I do great for 2 weeks, than fall off... its a pattern I've noticed of mine! the 8 weeks is from Jan to March (middle of Jan to beginning of March I think... )

http://health.discovery.com/national-body-challenge/promo/promo.html

registration begins online Dec 27!!

Its free, and our Bally's didnt pressure me at all - and I got the 1 hour free personal trainer session - one-on- one - - reminded me of Biggest Loser!!

Sandy, thanks for the information!! I may register for the menus and recipes, I could use some new ideas.

We don't have a Bally's around here, but I am pretty satisfied with my gym membership... however I could also use a fitness routine or two. What I really need is to steal her fitness trainer from Dawn!!

I am not being very peep-like this weekend. And I just changed my birthday dinner reservation for tomorrow from Maggiano's to a nice steakhouse. Still not sure what we are going to do for Christmas, since it will just be the two of us...

Hope everyone who is traveling is staying safe, and everyone at home is getting all of their last minute stuff done!! Have a great holiday everyone!!

Hey Peeps! We are off to DH's grandparents today for our Christmas with them. They are having cookies! :scared1: And then DH and I are going out to eat. Not sure where yet though. Anyway, hopefully I can catch up on this thread when we return. Have a great day Peeps! :goodvibes

I read your installment Wendy! it! I will post some of pics on there for ya later, along with my response. Makes me miss y'all even more!

unfortunately for me, i'm going to lose her sometime soon anyway! she's opening her own gym, an anytime fitness. and they don't have group fitness classes. so no more classes for me. :sad2: of course she lives just around the corner in the same neighborhood as us, so i can still go to her house and work out with her. but i'm sure that won't be happening too often as she'll be busy running her own gym!

i hope everyone is having a great christmas! we've been taking it easy. i bought some goldschlager to go with my apple cider, another holiday tradition that's not going to help my weight loss! BUT i already have plans to do a yoga class on thursday and a body jam class (very intense cardio) on friday, plus i'm getting ready to head out the door right now to go running. i doubt i'll reach the goal i set for myself last january to weigh 130 pounds by january 1, 2008, but darned if i don't try!!!

i mentioned the other day that i was going to the humane society on saturday morning to give treats, toys and a little love to the homeless doggies and kitties for christmas on saturday (yesterday) morning. well, they've posted a story about it in the gainesville times, a local paper here. there's a video about it and the newspaper chick apparently followed me around because i'm pretty much in the entire video! :scared1: here's the link....i'm wearing a grey sweater and jeans and my hair's up in a ponytail.

http://video.ap.org/v/Legacy.aspx?p...-0cf0-4dc1-8d79-3cc655e0eaa3&f=GAGAI&mk=en-ap

that black dog that i have at first was so funny....she kept hugging everyone. you see her doing it to some guy walking by and then she does it to me a few minutes later. she would just latch onto you and lay her head down on your chest.......so cute!!!!!!

Cute video--you look great. Sorry that you are about to lose your trainer.

Ryan update---I got to spend some time with him today and you would never have known that this 9 year old spent from July until about a month ago fighting for his life. He is not having any complications with his new liver and he is doing magnificant. He is all excited about Christmas. He is off his steriods so he is no longer puffy.

Christi- there are times as a parent that you question if you are doing a good job raising your kids and if you are instilling kind and caring morals or not. Well yesterday I was able to see that I am instilling great morals in my oldest son. He spent the day at Christi's house with about 10 other people putting together a GIGANTIC swing set treehouse for the boys. He had a blast helping. His job was to make the ground area safe and spreading out the gravel and chippings and so forth. Hopefully I will get to go visit her tomorrow. Her DH and I about broke down together today at church--I had to walk away and gain composure.

I have spent most of the day baking as well as last Thursday night. I am making 3 platters of goodies to take to some friends later tonight or tomorrow. Just depends on what time I finish the cookies.

i just had to share this with you. my best friend from high school sent it to me. i can just see me, 13 years old, sitting glued to the TV, drooling over the fact that jordan's not wearing a shirt. WHAT WAS WRONG WITH ME???? :rotfl: enjoy......

p.s. and where in the world is jon in this video?

Ahhh.... *faint* THANK YOU!!! You just made my holiday season! It's been a tradition for my mom, my sister and I to listen to that album (woah... I just dated myself) while putting up the Christmas tree. My sister wasn't home from DC (where she lives) yet when we put up the tree this year... and we couldn't find the tape. Which is OK since we couldn't find anything to play it on anyways! :lmao:

Great news about Ryan. Doesn't it warm your heart to see your kids growing up and doing right even when you aren't nagging them?
Christi and her family remain in my prayers.
Guess who I just ran into at the supermarket? My WW leader from 20 years ago. She looks about the same age-wise, but was a couple of sizes larger than I am. Which just goes to show that weight control is a daily struggle.
We had Christmas with the in-laws today. Again, I was less than peep-like. There was some tension between DH and me, and I didn't think too much about what i was eating. Well, I'll try to control the damage the best I can.

HERE'S WISHING A HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ONE OF OUR MOST FAVORITE PEEPS...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KAT!

Hope you have a wonderful day today!

GOOD MORNING! :sunny:

I'm behind BUT got caught up a little this morning. I hope everyone is ready for Christmas. I'm getting there.

We're having some neighbors, friends, family over tonight. I'm putting out some snacky stuff....nothing fancy. I'm of the opinion that parties should be fun for everyone...including the hostess...so I'm keeping it simple.

Dawn...I loved your video! You're so sweet to walk the doggies at Christmas time. I also watched the other video...was it new kids? That's after my time. :confused3 But their hair was hilarious!

Heather
....Keeping Christi and her family in my prayers too. So sweet that your son helped with the swing set. What a blessing for that dad who's having such a hard time this Christmas. What wonderful news about Ryan!!

Lynda, Laura, Kim, Wendee, Sandy, and everyone.....

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! :santa:

“So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.”- Luke 2:16-20

Good Morning Peeps !

I have been lurking around but wanted to wish you all a magical holiday.

Kat: Happy Birthday...:wizard: May the year ahead be filled with love, happiness and good health.

Heather : Christi and her family are in my prayers..

Dawn
: saw the video..you are simply too cute. Looking good girlfriend :thumbsup2 .

Melinda : I love that you are always the first peep up in the morning. I know when I sit down at my computer I look forward to an early morning posting from you.

Matthew has been up since 6:30 tracking Santa on the Norad (North American Aerospace Defence Command ) web site. This is the high point of Christmas eve for him. It shows a google earth map of where Santa has been. If you click on the green circles, it plays a short video showing Santa flying by the various world markers..(Great wall of China, Sydney Opera house, Statue of Liberty, ect). They have very official comments like..."Santa had a great take off this morning and is currently flying at 20 000 meters. Our satellite shows that his air speed is steady and strong".) This is pretty cool and I wanted to forward the link to all my peeps with little people who are believers.

http://www.noradsanta.org/

They also give you an 800 number. Here you will speak with a live Santa tracker (Military personal overseas take the calls).

If you have a few minutes...give it a try.

I hope you all have a wonderful and magical Christmas !

Kim (Tinkabella)
XOXO

Happy Birthday KAT!!

Hope that everyone has a wonderful and blessed day. I have to make one more trip out to get gift boxes. I also get to go back to the neighborhood that our church adopted and give out some more gifts :cool1: . Then it is off to the mall with my BF and watch all the people scurring around trying to finish their shopping. We just drink coffee and laugh. I could people watch all day.

Hope you have a wonderful day today!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KAT!!!!!!! so you're a christmas baby, huh? well, i hope you have a wonderful day and that everyone around you remembers that it's your special day despite the biggest holiday of the year falling right behind it!

Dawn...I loved your video! You're so sweet to walk the doggies at Christmas time. I also watched the other video...was it new kids? That's after my time. :confused3 But their hair was hilarious!

yep, that was new kids. i unfortunately was at the perfect age to be crazy about them. i think i was like 11 or 12 when they first became popular. me and my sister (who was 5 or 6 at the time) LOVED them. she liked jon and i liked jordan. now i look back on it and just have to laugh! we had a tape that my dad made for us that had "the little mermaid" on the first half and a new kids movie (i can't remember the name of it - it was just basically their videos and interviews with them) on the second half. we watched that tape so many times that it stopped working! :rotfl:

this is so cute!!!! i just love the magic of christmas (kinda like i love the magic of disney!) we had a white dog growing up and my dad used to cut some hair off of him and put it on the plate where the cookies were for santa. so when we got up we'd think that that was santa's hair. it was so cool! i remember one year laying in bed and i SWORE i heard a bell and i started screaming for my mom. she came running in my room and i told her i heard a bell and that santa and his reindeer were on the roof. she told me i better go to sleep because he won't come in unless i'm asleep. the next year was when i "found out" and i remembered that whole thing and was thinking, "oh my god......my mom must think i'm the biggest liar!!!"

well, i'm off to finish cleaning the house. we got most of it done yesterday. DH helped me.....he's so sweet. anyway, i just have the master bedroom and bathroom and i'm done! then his parents, sister and nephew are coming over around 1:00 to open gifts and we're eating around 4:00. why do we eat at such weird hours on the holidays? anyway, tomorrow we have NO plans except laying around the house all day in our pajamas. :woohoo:

:santa: I HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A WONDERFUL, MAGICAL, MERRY CHRISTMAS (or hannukah or kwanza or whatever it is you celebrate!!!) :santa:

punkin413 Can I have your autograph, you're famous now.

pigget74 Great news about Ryan; Christi and her family are in my prayers, that was so nice of your DS to help.

Tinkabella Hope you have a magical holiday as well. We track Santa here as well but didn't know there was a phone number. Thanks

Kat: Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday to Kat, happy birthday to you

I will not be weighing in tomorrow because unfortunately I do not own a scale (on Tues I normally go to WW but they are closed for the holiday) I did not make my christmas goal of 5 lb, do I get punished? After the New Year I am going to hit the grindstone (or whatever that saying is) no more fooling around for me. Wednesday DH is off from work so I think I will go to the gym sometime that day and try to work off some of the cookies I have been eating today. Anyway I hope everyone of my peeps and their families a Happy Holiday.

HILARIOUS!! I was a "Joey" girl..but i totally had posters of Jordan and Donnie as well...What were we thinking?? Thanks for the funny reminder of being 13! lol
Happy B day Kat! :)
Merry Christmas everyone!..i finally put up my MVMCP installment on my trip report..enjoy for some disney holiday cheer :)

Thanks everyone!!! It is a nice quiet day. We are going out to a nice dinner later, but for now lazing around.

It's funny, my MOH in my wedding shares my birthday. When I was younger I cared that it was right before Christmas, but now it doesn't really bother me.

D, we will be right with you tomorrow, lazing in the PJs all day. Our family celebrations won't happen until the weekend due to everyone's schedules.

Sorry to hear about losing your great classes, but I bet she is super excited about opening a gym.

The Santa tracking thing is cool!!

pigget, so sorry about Christi. What a hard time of year for this. Sending hugs and thoughts to you and her family.

I am glad that Ryan is feeling better, though!

Hope everyone has a great and safe holiday!! :santa:

Kat - Here's a cake that has no calories! Hope you have a wonderful birthday!
