Ok, since I made it home first - I get to tell you guys. I went to a Kickboxing class at the gym tonight with Dismom and Harley. We had to do this one kick forward kick back move and as I leaned down to kick back, Dismom's foot kicked back and breezed my nose! :scared1:

She goes "I felt your nose on my foot!" I said, "Well I felt your foot on my now!" We all started laughing and got all of course.

Then after the class we were doing abs and what not in a little side room. I was doing over / unders with Harley. Well she went up and over and dropped the medicine ball on my head!

I am starting to think these two have it out for me!!!:rotfl2:

WELCOME BACK MISTY!!!

BACK FROM THE DOCTOR........AGAIN.

Thanks for letting me vent!

Sorry about the strep throat! Glad DS got the cast off though!

I hate stadol!! Makes me say stupid things, and I feel like I have no control over my body! But when I have migraines that's what they give me too. Anyway, get some rest!!

Thanks. I love stadol!

Stacey - Get you some rest (which it sounds the drugs will take care of that;) ) and I hope you feel better soon. Said in my softest whispering voice. :ssst: ;)

Thanks Allie, I slept for like 4 hours.

I cannot stand stadol--don't like feeling not in control. I usuallygive myself an immitrex shot, but being preggo I can't. I also would take fioricet, but now I can't. They put me on darvacet yesterday--which I do not like taking because of the side effects--makes me very tired. The fioricet did not make me tired at all and I was still able to function for my job and family. I have had migraines since I was 8 years old. Ihad been doing great until after Katrina and then they were so bad--2 and 3 a week or one would alst for weeks. Get some rest.

They gave me a prescription for immitrex. Do those work? I hope your head is better. Did the darvacet help? Last night I tried Loratab twice, muscle relaxers, ibuprofen - nothing worked.

ATTENTION!! GREAT (NOT DIET) RECIPE!!!
My kids call it the "fruity meat" but it's 4 lb. pork loin in a casserole dish covered with:
1 cup red dressing (russian or catalina)
1 envelope onion soup mix
1 can ocean spray whole berry cranberry sauce
1/2 cup orange marmalade
Bake for 2ish hours at 375 basting occasionally.

It is like crack. So delicious and smells heavenly cooking right now. Wonderful with Uncle Bens long grain/wild rice. I carve up all the leftovers and make little individual lean cuisines out of them to take to work. It's all about portion control or that's what I like to tell myself. ;)
Stacey......does the migraine have anything to do with the meds you are on or are you just prone to them. I too say things that I would not normally say on the staydol. They put a shot in my IV after I had DS in 2000. I think I said some bad things to the doctor for showing up late. Long story.

Can you pm me that recipe when you get a chance. Staydol is great!

Hi Melinda!

Well I stayed up and could not fall asleep you know night before job thingy! WEll it went well, it was a bit wierd though. I dorve my handicapped van to school in office attire. The kids all thought I was off somehwhere exciting! The office Manager was very nice and its been sometime since I have been doing office owrk so lots of fun changes!

I Niters all and have a skinny Wednesday!:cutie:

Glad the job is going well!

It has been really quiet here lately. Where are Bee and Dawn? Hope everyone is okay.

Shannon, are you better - how is school this week?

Hi Stacey!

I am here. Just have a lot going on. Grumpy is traveling again, and I had parent teacher conferences tonight and last night. When I get home I cook and clean up. Still have a lot to do, Grumpy will be home Sunday and I want things to be nice for him. We are both so busy. The girls and I are looking forward to seeing him. I am worried though cause we are scheduled for snow on Sunday.

We are having our first "T"ware party on Tuesday so that will be cool.

I am learning all about insurance. Today we spent the whole day on Life Contracts. Tomorrow we are doing Long Term Disability that will be exciting!!

Later Peeps!!

Stacey - Glad you are feeling better! Rest always does the body good! :thumbsup2 Aren't you glad I didn't yell that in Ty's bullhorn?! ;) (Remember those days ... ) I hope your head continues to feel better.

Happy Fat/Shrove Tuesday, Peeps! I was SO happy that nobody brought paczkis into the office today to tempt me. My Polish Catholic boss used to bring them in every year. It was interesting to me to hear about people doing the pancake day thing here and on another thread - I had never heard about that before. I'm not Catholic, but I think I'm going to try to talk my hubby into going to our local Catholic church one Friday night for their fish fry.

To those suffering with migraines, have you ever done a food journal to try to figure out whether your headaches are being triggered by foods or food combinations? Once I figured out what was triggering my headaches, I don't have them nearly as often. Some of my problem foods are certain cheeses when combined with nuts and/or chocolate. Occasionally, MSG is a problem for me too. And for some reason, overhead can lighting can be a factor as well. Hope you feel better soon.

Bee - I'd love to read about your Vegas adventure, but I can't for the lfe of me figure out how to find it! Help!!! Thanks in advance!

:lmao: Gonna be hard to keep one eye on each of them and one on the instructor... :magnify:

Well Dene - I gotta tell ya, when I walked in I almost turned around and walked out...I was in awe and overwhelmed at the sheer buffness of the clientele...once in the class I was ok and didnt feel like I was being scrutinized but prior to going into the class I just observed a little...whew I gots a long ways to go!! Plenty of eye candy tho, male and female, I just felt like a big blob...but on the positive I kept up, and didnt poot not one time!!!:thumbsup2 think I even got an honorable eye contact from total hard body instructor;)
only thing I really ahd trouble with was the jumping, my foot kept watning to give way and I didnt want to lay out in the floor my first time...:rotfl2:

Minnie,

I have never been to Vegas.. but I believe Spongie has a story for you.:rotfl2:

If I ever went I would be sure to share it with you.:thumbsup2

Hey Peeps!

I'm STARVING! LOL

I made it through my first day back at school. Mouth is sore but I only took 2 Tylenol today around noon which I think is a good sign considering I was practically counting the hours til my next dose of Percocet over the weekend. I'll probably take one soon just to take the edge off and relax me so I can sleep tonight. But anyway, I'm so freaking hungry. I had a slim fast and some gatorade and water today. Then just now I managed to get down a couple bites of mac-n-cheese that I had made a couple days ago. It's really annoying to chew so I'm just suffering through it. Plus I'm scared that I will pop a stitch or something will get stuck back there. I just weighed myself and I'm under 200 according to my home scale which means a 3 lb loss. (That's not my actual number - real weigh in is Thursday) But all I can think about is food and what I want to eat when I can chew normally again. I'm glad I got the slim fast though because it does fill me up for awhile and at least I'm getting some nutrition from it. Still - I miss real food!

And here is a realization I had today. My mom mentioned that once I get this teeth thing taken care of that I would feel a lot less stressed out about school and that the stress I was feeling was probably more from the teeth than school. I didn't really believe her because school is really sucking this semester. But you know what? Ever since Friday, I've felt like a load has been lifted off me. I still have a lot of work to do but for some reason I feel more prepared and I actually have some time to just sit and relax with some TV or my Peeps! So the moral of the story - mom's are usually right :thumbsup2 .

Gotta go find my pants for tomorrow and then I can watch The Real Housewives of Orange County. Does anyone else watch that show? My fave was Kimberly - so bummed she isn't in this season. And Jo and Laurie drive me bananas. But obviously that isn't stopping me from watching. :happytv:

Later Peeps :woohoo:

Oopsie!!! Well that would explain a lot! That's what I get for trusting my memory and not checking back :rotfl2:

FOUND IT! Sounds like you had a GREAT time, Spongie!

I asked my Polish Catholic (atleast he was when he was growing up - he has converted to Baptist now) DBF if they ate this thing and he looked at me like I had lost my mind. :confused3 Of course he is the pickiest eater I have ever known, so they very well could have just skipped over him with this one.

"Buffalo" polish maybe????:confused3 I'd never heard of them until we moved here, so...I'd don't now.
Hmmm...someone else (Eeyore maybe???) mentioned Punczki Day! Same things!

OMG, I love that show! I used to live not far from there. It is so surreal. Some of those housewives out there are nuts just like them. It is all about $ and their precious gated community. Their kids get everything handed to them. Makes me sick. I am glad I had to work for everything I wanted at a fairly young age. I cant believe Slade is still wanting to be with Jo at all. She has been pretty much ignoring him, except to collect her b-day presents, lol, and he still wants to be with her. Dummy. But then again, he didnt waste any time calling Laurie once they broke up so I cant say I blame her for not being 100% into him now. I miss Kimberly too- she was the most normal of the housewives I think.

I don't know if I will be able to do the Dream weekend. We get back from WDW on the 27th of May, and I have the Gwen Stefani concert over in Indy on June 2nd, so doing something the next weekend is probably not a good idea. I would love it though! Now, something in the fall sounds very interesting! ;)

I know all about overscheduling.... There's always too many things going on around here. My g'ma is getting married at the end of June and the very next weekend is a convention we'd like to go to but it's 4 hrs away ans we always spend too much $$ when we go. DH also wants to do a new one this yr, over Labor Day weekend but we have a convention in town two weeks before that and the state fair. He also wants to visit friends in SC again sometime in the fall..... My boss'll fire me if I take all that time off.....

Popping in for a second. Have had a killer migraine since last night. You know, the kind that makes you throw up everytime you move your head! I just got back from urgent care. They gave me a shot of phenegrin and staydol. Great suff, but I feel dizzy and drunk. I think I am going to bed. I will catchi up later.. I ahve to keep correcting everything.

 I know from dealing with DH's headaches that it's tough. I finally insisted on having rescue meds at teh house for when the immitrex didn't work. They gave me phenegren and vicodin to give him. Of course when his back gets really bad, he takes the vicodin for that too (Dr said it was ok....) He told me the other day he knows why people get addicted to it, his hands felt all funny and he was light headed.

Yep, he's just trying to help me :flower3:... as for TELLING him about posting his pic... well, he ALREADY makes fun of me for my "imaginary friends on the Internet" :lmao:

I guess we all have very active imaginations...... and we are all thinking the same thing...hhmmmmmmm mass hysteria??!?!? :rotfl:

I did ok today. I don't know how many points exactly but I had a smoothie for b-fast and slim fast for lunch and a snack. Dinner wasn't so good but I don't think I went too far overboard. I had a piece of fruit stuffed pork roast (the piggie is getting us all today.... oink!) I had green beans and squash for sides then topped it off with a WW ice cream bar. I felt so hungry and wanted to munch on all kids of things. I fell asleep and slept for about 3 hrs but my cravings went away so it's all good.

My Dr's appt went well. He said I seem healthy and will call me with the BW results if anything is wrong. My girlie exam was painful, that had him a bit concerned but there wasn't anything abnormal looking. A few years ago, I had an infection and had some endrometrial cells growing in the wrong place but I got that all treated and cleared up.

It's getting late, I still have stuff to to since I took my nap. Good thing I'm going into work late tomorrow, I can stay up and still get enough sleep.

Yes I do use the computer and OMG I thought of you guys often as I back spaced the day away! I really need to stop looking at the keys! I never took typing in HS and always had an assistant who would handle my letters etc, so its pretty funny to be doing it myself!

I am also wondering how and when I can get onto DIs while I am at work!:rotfl: The food thing went well I COULDN"T and also had alot less tea today. I did make a pot of sauce and meatballs for DS and DH and hubby made a plate. I couldn't say no I was so hungry!

Tomorow I will bring one of my frozen meals, they were having chinese OMG my fav! I passed and went for a wee walk instead. I know nothing about Real Estate so its really interesting to learn, other than that all went well.

I did bring my water and ate a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast, sadly I did add a dab of butter and sugar and milk what can I say??:confused3

I will do better tomorow I am out of special K and colon blow, will have to go shopping. Anyways I am pretty tired should use my bike today but think I am going to bed early I got 3 hours sleep.

Ohh The Quiet Man is on AMC right now! Ahhh now that will be nice to fall asleep to.

Niters all and have a skinny Wednesday!:cutie:

I'm glad the day went well!

Sorry i have not been around i am watching my sister's kid and i have to follow her around because she causes so much trouble i am watching her tommorow also so i will try to hop on when i can love to all goodnite..

Guess WHAT!

My... oops, DS's science Fair project is done! And best news yet, I didn't go all Donald Duck on him as he drug his feet and asked if he could have dinner or go tho the bathroom! Nope, he went to be happy with visions of Science Fair Blue Ribbons dancing in his head. I hope I...I mean HE does ok.

Yes I used clip art and other minor winning touches. Just for a little pizzazz.

Oh, "good" news, Norah had a fever today with our trip right around the corner. Why do one or more of us become sick JUST before we leave? WHY? I notice that with others too. Anticipating a Disney vacation must lower our resistance.

Pivotal question....How sick is too sick to go? I best take her in tomorrow if she still has this fever or any other symptoms because I dont want to visit the disney doctors if I can help it.

Good night darlings!

My diet SUCKED today...but I forgot to eat dinner. FORGOT! :confused3

GOOD MORNING ALL

They gave me a prescription for immitrex. Do those work? I hope your head is better. Did the darvacet help? Last night I tried Loratab twice, muscle relaxers, ibuprofen - nothing worked.

THe immitrex pill does almost nothing for me. I have to take 2 in one hour to feel the slightest bit of change. THe shot on the other hand--I really do not like the side effects--I almost go inot poanic attack mode everytime I give myself one. It make smy brain feel like someone poured oce water in it and my breathing becomes a little labored. If I have not thrown up already this sure makes me. If I can since a bad one coming on I take a dramamine and 2 excedrine mirgraine and go lay in my dark room with a cool cloth over my eyes. THis works sometimes--it is also what I do when I get a full blown one. If the immitex doesn't work then I take the fioricet just to help--it does not knock me out and I can still function--which is very important with DH schedule. The darvacet only works a little, but it is better than nothing. I was actually feeling better yesterday, but then the front started to come through and did a number on my head--so this morning my eyes are puffy and my head is aching.

The only food thing I can link mine to as aspertame (sp). Mine is odd---smells can trigger one quicker than anything--I avoid places where I know there are a lot of fragrences. One day at the mall I almost came unglued on some lady in front of Victoria Secret--she was letting people sample the scent--asked if I wanted any as I was walking by--quickly said no and kept going--she sprayed me anyway  I knew I was going to be sick-so went ahead and took preventitive doses. Heat can also trigger--the glare form the sun . . . There is not just one thing for me--then there is that time of month (only sometimes though) As a kid the teachers thought I was faking--would say oh your feelings are hurt thats why you are crying and want to call home...I actually had some teachers in the 6th grade to tell me to suck it up nothing was wrong. This one refused to let me call home--another teacher called my mom. It is not a fun thing to live with, but we manage.

Bee - I'd love to read about your Vegas adventure, but I can't for the lfe of me figure out how to find it! Help!!! Thanks in advance!

Congrats on DS project. Take Nora to DR. and let us know what they say. Last May my little man came down with ROTO VIRUS 2 weeks before trip and then the week before had a huge upper resp. infection and was put one prednisone, albuteral, and antibiotic to cover the entire time we were gone.

IS it just me or have the standard smilies always been near the colot at the top of a post?

HAPPY ASH WEDNESDAY, PEEPS! :sunny:

I'm Baptist too but we are having an Ash Wednesday Service at church tonight. Our church is very moderate and becoming more ecumenical all the time. We too have a sedar meal which really brings the whole story of Moses and the Israelites to life. The Lenten season is a time for reflection on Christ's journey to the cross and the sacrifice He made for us. All the food is just a bonus! :)

Thanks for all the well wishes on the sick kiddos. I can't complain really....they'll get better and there are so many parents out there facing horrible diagnosis for their children. I'm just ready for them to go back to school! I took them out for 4 days back in Sept. for our WDW trip and they can only miss 10 days all together...after that every adsence requires a dr. excuse! :scared:
I am starting to think these two have it out for me!!!:rotfl2:
CAREFUL OUT THERE, GIRLS! Good story!
So the moral of the story - mom's are usually right :thumbsup2 .
DID EVERYBODY HEAR THAT???? She admitted that her mother was right!?!? There is hope that one day we will be vindicated! Glad you're feeling better, Shannon. How many teeth did you have out? Two? How long did the Dr. say the pain should last?
dragonfly do you realize this year is the only year that you and Mos ages are interchangable...13-31
How about 35 & 53? HA! It'll be here before you know it!
OMG, I love that show!
OK, Jen....this is not what I wanted to quote but I just wanted to say that I totally understand your Gymboree addiction. I loved matching those little socks, dresses, shoes, pants, bows and the really sad part was that I usually looked in her closet to see what she had that matched what I was wearing?!? Sick, I tell ya! When I had the second child that didn't seem so important and with the third, I'm just lucky to find his shoes every morning!
had a blast!
Misty....glad you had fun and adjusted easily to the no-kid situation. And you're going back in July?? GREAT!!! Love the cute siggie picture of you and your new baby! :cutie:

WHY, WHY, WHY do the teachers assign science fair project to kids who aren't old enough to complete the projects alone??!!!??? I have helped with several of these (thorn in my side) projects. I do however just happen to have knowledge of the EASIEST science fair project on the planet which requires the least amount of parental involvement AND won honorable mention at the elementary science fair.....just in case you ever need that information. ;)

If Norah has a fever, I would definitely take her to the Dr. and get her on some antibiotics before the trip. Oooo....have you heard? Meijer is making all kids' antibiotic prescriptions FREE! Do you have Meijer out in SLC???

HAVE A GREAT DAY, PEEPS!
