I will gladly tell about vegas but i will put it on my profile page so if ya wanna know look there... i will do it tonight or tommorow ...

GOOD MORNING ALL
THis weekend was not great--had a bad headache and tried different things with caffiene to see if that would help--nope. DH went to the store last night and brought me home some oreos (they are all I like). ANyway before he went and I asked him to get some he said NOPE, you don't need it--remember you told me to tell you NO!!. Plus I need to lose some, I am getting huge--I just slapped him. He wears a 34---how on earth is that huge :scared1: Yes he does look like a malnurished person--big hard belly and then all his limbs are like pencils. Just makes me sick. There is no school today, but teachers have to go--wish I could stay home and sleep. Oh well.

With your description I visualized the scene from A Christmas Story--when the brother is eating mashed potatoes. Today is a new day. You will get right back on board like the rest of us and do the best that you can do.

WOOO HOOOOTY on your 500 post

I teach Special Education and have a dyslexic son. To me it sounds like some dyslexic tendencies. Here is my question--does it only happen when he is copying material from another source--ie. book, board to notebook paper. He could have some other issues as far as visual aspects are concerned. Let me think a little about this today and I will get back with you.

Your cart looks great.

Joshua just woke up so you gals and a guy have agreat day.

From what I can tell it is happening when he copies from the board or a book. His reading has actually improved over the last few months. Also math has been his best subject until recently. They are doing graphs with coordinates and he keeps reversing the numbers no matter how many times we work on it.:confused3

I would like my "after" to be sporting something like this.....I can't get the photo in but the link is here ...very frustrating!

http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/2918304?tuid=000006cb-006f-0861-6c61-726765727669&id=6831124&largeImg=0

I love that suit!!I got a suit from Lands End last year(never wore it because it was too small but never sent it back) that I loved because it held everything in but it could not contain my rear.

I made it to jazzercise! I had to laugh today, the instructor said if anything is jiggling or shaking then tighten it up! Yeah right, I'd need a bra of concrete and panties of steel to keep things from jiggling when I'm bouncing around! I guess it's good I don't wear a thong, there'd be an earthquake everytime I swung my hips!:lmao: And with all the skinnie minnies there I seriously feel like the dancing hippo, I just need a pink tutu. Do you think they come in my size?
:rotfl: :lmao:

Hello, all i am back from my weekend away in las vegas.. it was so much fun we did almost everything imaginable, it was the NBA all star weekend so it was swamped with celebrities everywhere, it was so warmmmmmm and now we come back to snow yuckkkkkk well i just wanted to say hello.

Glad your back safe and that you had a good time!!

UM,I am glad that you are losing your 7 lb loss so quickly. It gives me hope,I gained 4 1/2 lbs in TWO days. :scared1:

I like the baby bum sticking out idea too! I just love to see prego Moms in swimwear its so darn sweet!

OOPPPS! I meant that to say baby BUMP!!! Fidge I think we must be related since we both have a little problem with spelling!:lmao:

Anyone here know anything about learning disabilities? DS9 has always had a hard time with school but lately it has gotten worse. When he copies his spelling words off the board on Mondays almost all of them are misspelled and we have been assuming that he is not taking his time.Well I just looked through his notebook that holds his SS notes and the words are misspelled there too.He says that he copied them off of the board. He is insisting that he copied them exactly as they were written. For example he has urban written"ubran",population as "oppulation",etc. He also has his d and b mixed up most of the time.:confused3 Maybe he is just rushing through his work but his teacher has told me that he is a very hard worker and she feels his doing the best he can.:confused3 Sorry to ramble,I just now checked his grades and was disapointed to see so many bad ones.

I know what I was trying to think of this morning---Could he just have a problem with transposing from the board or book to his paper. If he he only flipping b and d I woul not be to worried, but if he is flipping more letters and numbers then I would be a little concerned. What grade is he in? When is his birthday--meaning is he young or old for his grade? I know this is a weird question--but can he rhyme? How is he with time, seasons, and months of the year? As far as months go--can he go in order --can you ask him to start with say July -- does he have to go back to January to start? Same with the alphabet--can you ask him a letter and then he go from there or does he have to start with "A"? Some of these questions are language questions, but dyslexia falls under a language problem.

My son has a a language disorder---he did not know his birthday until he was 10, has no concept of time, months and seasons mean nothing as far as order goes. Reading comprehesnion is a struggle--he reads, but has trouble with understanding--book reports are a lot of fun  He is a brilliant child--is in gifted classes at school, but we struggle a great deal--and he is OCD to boot. His language disorder is called RECEPTIVE LANGUAGE and he also has a WRITTEN EXPRESSION one as well. His brain misfires the information that he takes in. It processes it differently -- therefore making it harder for him to learn. Dyslexia is covered under the written expression part.

If you have any questions or concerns please ask--if I do not know the answer I will find out for you. Please know that this could be something that he outgrows or could be something that he struggles with forever--don't be discouraged--it is amazing to see how different kids compensate.

My pain killer for my head is now kicking in so I need to go, before I truley think I will not make any sense.

Good night everyone.

Hi peeps! Hope everyone has been having a decent day. I am struggling to get back at it this week...again. Somebody kick my butt please. I am just still feeling sick and I just cant seem to care about eating good for me food. On the off chance I want to eat, I eat whatever sounds good at the time and usually that means junk. I am now running a fever and I am sure I have a sinus infection. After the nasty virus last week, then pink eye, I am just d.o.n.e.

Anywhoo....

This kept me entertained for a while today though. I guess what kept making me so ticked was that the pot stirrer presumably doesnt have kids and is not even married. How can they even begin to know how things will go once they are and have kids? 50/50 my ****. Sure my DH helps with DD's hair at times, but he would never ever let her do that to her hair without asking me what I thought. And the 'strumpet' comment had me even more mad. Come on....it is not like they come out of there looking like $2 hookers. (and did anyone see Brothers and Sisters last night? They used the word strumpet:happytv: ) Ok, vent over.

I loved Jazzercise. There isnt one close by my house now though. It was fun at least...for exercise that is. I had to laugh when I first joined and was super out of shape, not unlike I am now, and there were tons of over 60 something ladies in there dancing circles aorund me:scared1: I cant believe you were jazzercising 3 days after having your wisdom teeth out. Good for you!!

Welcome to our new dude too! :cheer2:

I had to break up my replies...... I had too many smilies and I think I was out of quotes too.

WB SpongieMisty! Glad to hear you had a great time.

Welcome WI DisneyFan! We aren't a clique, it's equal opportunity. We all got this way one bite at a time and we're going to get ourselves out of it the same way!

Hey since we have 2 guys now, are we still the Skinnie Minnies? What do we call the guys?? We may have to have some new clip art......

I owe y'all a HUGE thank you!!! I came home tonight and i saw so hungry. I had a little snack inthe car but it was dinnertime I my body knew it. I walked into the kitchen and there were White Castle (Crystal for y'all int he south......) boxes on the counter. DH got them for lunch and one of the youngin's hadn't thrown the evidence away. Let me tell ya, I was hurt. I know I ca'nt have fast food and all right now and they left it out in plain sight, tormenting me. Ds heard I was upset and said, "We saved you some, there's 4 in the fridge." I grabbed one a microwaved it and enjoyed every last bite of that sinful fastfood. But then WWPD? popped into my head and I came over to teh computer to look up the points before I ate another one. To top that off, I hadn't closed my DIS screen last night and my wonderful peeps were right there on my 'puter waiting to regale me with their tales. I quickly forgot about eating another burger. (I did stop to lok up the points though, one little sandwich with cheese is 3.5 pts.... I didn't do myself in!! YAY!) Y'all saved my diet today. Thanks for being here Peeps!

I did realize something today though. I'm not planning my meals like I used to and I'm not eating as much fruit and veggies. I have to refocus on planning and not just floating along with whatever whim strikes me.

Have a great night y'all, I'm going to try to clear the boxes off my TM so I can get on it.

:lmao: that one got Dt coke up the nose!!!:lmao:

After reading through a dozen or so pages of this thread, I get the feeling that I am the only guy here. Which is cool with me, if it is cool with you. But that means that I can't really answer the bathing suit question at all. For most guys (and if I had my druthers, it would be ALL guys not on some sort of swimming and diving team), the only option is swim trunks. But the problem is, that means no shirt. So I guess I want my "after" to wear any trunks, so long as I'm not embarrassed to do it shirtless.

Nope not the only fella, :) Welcome to the Peeps....things you need to know
WWPD means what would a Peep Do? and it is used for inspiration...menarputz is a syndrome that you males are known to possess from time to time...(except Grumpy:flower3: ) we'll let you know if you fall into it;) You can feel free to answer honestly any question presented here, dont be offended when we talk about :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc or :crowded: or pooh: or Aunt Flo(TOM) and if you dont know what that is you will soon see;)
and dont be offended when Fidge send out her Fireman to rescue those of us who need help after falling off the wagon...I need to be rescued alot:rolleyes1

oh and Utahmama is our ThreadGoddess:hippie:

:welcome:

it snot her fault, shes lefty and her keyboard is backwards:upsidedow

I think I am gonna be up this Fri...soemthing about the wa my pants are fitting snugger suggests this

dene - I joined Golds tonite, and the guy who signed us up looked suspiciously like you hunky trainer...dark skin, not so tall dark hair, pretty blue eyes, fab arms...but it was ruined when he shook my hand with a lip noodle grasp....I mean come on...if you are gonna be a studly dude, dont ruin it with a sissy grip...man up and shake hands with a little Tfortitude I mean I am a girl (SHOCK & HORROR I KNOW) and I have a more firm handshake....sheesh:confused:

oh well I have a date with Ranger and Joe in my tub later;)
I bet neither of them has a sissy handshake

Danville, Bloomington, or Decatur!!! :scared1: It was supposed to be just me - and I imagine when I mention it to ds - he'll offer to move out or in with his brother so I can have his place!! OR I'll just come the weekend before or after :confused3 I just thought I should do a few of the "mom" planned events - the musical sounded like fun!! (April 13 - 15 - I just dont want to drive 23 miles!!)

Oh! Those are all a fair drive! Danville is where I grew up actually. I will think on this and see if I can come up with any ideas for you.

I went to the gym this morning and did the elliptical. I had my WWPD keychain hanging on the handle, and I thought yeah, this is what peeps would do. I just want to thank everyone for their support. I am at the lowest weight I have been in years, and like Grumpy's siggie says, I think I am gaining momentum.

You GO girl! :yay:

been using my gazelle and bike today.

I've been on my gazelle a couple of times in the last week or so... is it just me, or do you not really feel like you're working? If I AM working, but don't feel like it... well, that is good. But, I don't want to be wasting my time... then again... since I just do the gazelle while I'm watching tv, guess it would HAVE to be better for me than sitting in the chair. :happytv:

Way to go on the gym! Ouch! The guy sounded great... at first. Luckily, Jay-the-hunky-trainer-dude has a good handshake. Hey, maybe he's broken a few fingers before, so he shakes "gently". ;)

Tonight, Jay suggested I get out more... go out with some friends or the two girls who invited me out "for a beer" last week (we're all Jay's girls)... or even  go on a date. Then he asked how long since I've been on one... ouch. Bad enough to admit it here... but to actually say it out loud.:scared: Well, at least now he knows my REAL long term goal (not that silly/safe one I put on the paperwork).:rolleyes1

I found another old Janet Evanovich paperback this weekend to maybe read on our roadtrip. If I dont get motion sick reading!

LOVE Ranger and Joe!

I HATE wet noodle hand shakes too. I dont mind the hand kiss thing, though it's never happened to me. It would probably make me giggle like Cinderella's ugly stepsisters trying to impress the prince. :lmao:

I have 3 more of my 7 pounds to lose!

It sure is alot easier and funner gaining weight!!!!!!!!!

My totals for today...

B: yogurt smoothie, about half my oatmeal (I accidentally got too much water in it!) (170)
S: 1/4 cup honey dipped almonds (160)
L: 1/2 Quesadilla Explosion salad (725)
S: 1/4 cup honey dipped almonds (160)
D: gardenburger w/ ff sharp cheddar and swiss cheese on whole wheat bun (240) black bean tortilla chips w/ peach mango salsa (165) 5 strawberries & about 15 grapes (75)

TOTAL: 1695 calories & 64 oz. water

Ugh! Didn't do my exercise! :headache: I got an ipod yesterday as part of our V-Day celebration, and I have been importing songs all night long! Bad Lynda! I will be back on track tomorrow with the exercise! I promise!

Dene', today, while flipping through the TV channels, I stopped and watched the Home Shopping Network for a while because they had Tony, the Gazelle guy, on there and he was showing all the different exercises you can do on the Gazelle besides the cross country skiing type move. I was actually pretty impressed with how many different ways you can use it. I helped a friend of mine put hers together.

I wouldn't mind trying one, but I still exceed the weight limit  You'd think they'd make them for those of us who are heavier and need a way to do low impact exercises.

Oh well, I guess I'll just stick with doing the exercise classes at the pool. I went and did the 5:15 class that I can't usually get to (because I work a later schedule) since I was off work today. If I lose at least a pound, I'm grabbing my 10 pound ribbon early!

I hope my WW weigh-in goes OK tomorrow. Being off work for four days with my hubby's doctor appointment and the long weekend, there were more temptations than normal this week.

Good night everyone.

First of all I want to say thanks fore putting so much thought into this for me.I am making an appointment when the kids go back to school with his teacher to see what she thinks. She has never taught this grade and has admitted not really knowing yet what to expect from the kids.My DH has said that his brother had some of the same problems in school so I am going to ask him tomorrow about it.
He is in third grade with a september birthday so he is one of the oldest in his class. He has trouble with telling time but I will have to ask him some questions to be able to tell about the rest of your questions.
Thanks again for taking the time to talk this out with me.I may be overreacting but my DH is also worried and that doesn't happen often.

Amy You are not overreacting!! Its our job as "mom" to advocate for our kids!! Its the hardest job, they dont come with manuals!! Great help here!! I too have had to fight for my ds - its just hard - knowledge is power - and for your son to see you advocate for him will really help him!!

Lynda I feel another poll coming on - a what's in your ipod poll!! I've yet to upload all my musicals/showtunes!! I have cd's for Somewhere in Time, Meet Me in St Louis, Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, Mary Poppins, and a few others - but it does take time, I also like to sort out my favs, not just upload!! I also have $30 to spend over at itunes!! I have a list...

Dene sounds like Jay is a therapist too!! Stay committed, one day at a time!! I'm thinking now that the weather is hitting above freezing, maybe, just maybe I can take a walk... outside!!

MHL btdt - it does help to look up the points - and I'll bet every bite was was delish... hate when these pounds take months to get off, but seconds to jump right back on - waz up with that?!! Did you find your TM?? I also love your cart!! I really think I'm going to try and do the DreamScrapbook Indy event in June!!

MinnieMoo Good luck tomorrow!! Hope you find inspiration to make it through another week!!

SPoppins and Fidge I stay away from virtual models!! :scared1: I do love Land's Ends bathing suits tho - I actually am ok with the tankini.. it took several tries, but I found one I'm ok with... I actually had to take DD to the local outdoor pool last summer.. :scared1: I mostly hung out at the recliner reading novels... dd met up with the daycare friends... but I had to be in a suit!! :scared1: It helped me that lots of, or most of the other suited ladies werent size 10's neither!!

Wonders(it is wonders isnt it? Brain freeze!) how's your mouth holding out??

Melindadecided not to wait for you to get up this mornin!! *wink *wink!!

Yep, I cant sleep!! Sneezin, and worryings got me awake... hey, now anyone else notice the output levels? Mine are sneakin in and embarrassin me!! Its one thing in supermarkets, or Targets, to have the flatulance sneak in, but my goodness, I would hate for that to happen in the classroom!! :scared1:

I found I'm really enjoying the Full series as well as Joe and Ranger. I had a hard time getting into the Metro Girl books though.

I'm still up a whole pound since Fri. UUrrrrggggg..... I'm afraid I won't have a loss this week. I did find my TM but had a headache so I went to bed early. It's a good thing too, I woke up to go potty at 2:30 and I still had it. If I hadn't gone to bed when I did it would've gotten worse and I'd probably still have it. I'd love to to the scrapbook weekend. There are several places around here that offer them. If the Dreamscrap doesn't work out, my Creative memories person has 2 weekends a year where she does teh big hotel, stay up all night, have dinner while your working thing. She just had one the weekend after I got home from WDW and the next one is generally in the fall.

I had one sneak up on me at work te other day. Thankfully I was in a room all by myself but it wasn't a pleasant smell........ I coulodn't stand to be in the little exam room anymore. I had so much gas that I had to quit taking fiber suppliments a few years ago.

Well, I have to get to work. I also have a Drs appt today. I'm not looking forward to it and I have to have a blood draw. I guess I can relate to my patients, even if they are four footed and fuzzy. Have a great day y'all!

GOOD MORNING, PEEPS! :sunny:

SANDY.....You're right! I'm sleeping in lately. Were you really up at 4:30 this morning?? Girl?!?
My pain killer for my head is now kicking in so I need to go, before I truley think I will not make any sense.
Heather....hope your head feels better today! I used to get headaches when I was pregnant for 2 reasons....low blood sugar or lack of caffiene. I drank one cup of half caff every morning during pregnancy and I kept the headaches at bay.
I will gladly tell about vegas but i will put it on my profile page so if ya wanna know look there... i will do it tonight or tommorow ...
YOU'RE BACK!!! Hope you had a fab time....can't wait to hear all about it.
All right, I'm not sure where/how to start on this thread, but I figure I'll just jump right in here with a (not-so-)quick introduction so y'all know where I'm coming from.
:welcome: WI!!! What should we call you? DisneyFan or WI (like Wii?)? You'll love it here. Accountability is a great thing and all the peeps are VERY supportive! Enjoy!
oh well I have a date with Ranger and Joe in my tub later;)

I hate limp handshakes! Ewwww.....
