First of all, is anyone else having trouble with pulling up threads or changing pages. It is moving very slow today. Is it just me?

The hair thread was great. But I am no farther on my project!

My DS had two friends spend the night and he is ready to send one home! They stayed up too late so now they are all fighting. I know better than to have an odd number - that rarely works.

I love the Apprentice and I have missed this entire season. They are playing all of them on CNBC today!! My lucky day!

Trolls are people who lurk and try to stir up trouble. I guess they enjoy get people all in a tissy over silly things. I much prefer to hang out here!

Stacey I am SOOOO glad you said that! I have been very impatient all morning!

It is SUPER slow. Even just clicking on my "Quick Links" and scrolling down to subscribed threads is taking a ridiculous amount of time. Maybe I'll go read menus on Allears or Mousesavers or wherever I end up.

OMG it's so S...L...O...W today, I've been trying to post for hours and it keeps losing it or I just turn my laptop off in frustration. I've only gotten to page 5 in the you know what thread and  did you read the profession of the fllamer? The good thing though is I'm considering BBB for my girls before we go to CRT I didn't realise it was so cheap, I'd do the first package as neither of them have fingernails (well they do but they're bitten!) so I can save the $ there :thumbsup2

Well I'm posting quick before I lose this too.

Oh BTW Whoooo Hooooty Harley

I didn' mean us in a bathing suits SILLIES!!! I meant one that you would like to be for the next season! You guys kill me!

Yes I could not even get on here today, what a mess!!!!

Hey Peeps, well After reading the "hair" thread and then Fidges swimsuit post I have managed to laugh off at least a pound :rotfl:

It was slow for me this morning but it seems to better now.

Oh yah, my purpose for coming to this thread, besides to say Hi :flower3:

can someone point me to the recipe for the "pooh" muffins, please?

well, I'm off to walk the treadmill, it's gorgeous outside, but WINDY, and my sinuses are already cranky this week and I bought the girls 9 and DH) kites this morning at Wmart so I'll be out inthe wind enough this afternoon.

have a great afternoon everyone, I'll be back this evening to check in

Big Hugs !!!

DH and I love it too, but you haven't missed much. I have really been disappointed this year. I mean their reward was to go to the Playboy mansion. How cheesy is that? I don't think Apprentice will be on much longer. :sad2: Also, they are moving it to a later time in a couple of weeks. I think they realize that it can't compete against Amazing Race All Stars.

Sorry, I guess I ramble too much.

Yes the boards are so SSSSLLLLOOOOWWWW today. It is making me crazy! It has helped me get my house cleaned though. :cool1: I got so frustrated with it, that I decided to clean since there is no one here but me! YES, that's right DD got to go spend the night with DMIL last night! :cool1: DMIL took DD and her two cousins to go see the Taribithea (sp?) movie. DS comes home this afternoon, so I am off to vacuum his room with my new Dyson. It is going to have a workout I tell ya'. The nooks and crannies in his room are filthy! I picked up SIX fruit snack bags. I don't allow eating in their rooms! Isn't he going to have fun when he gets home?;) I guess I will join the Meanest Mom group this afternoon. :rotfl:

I think it has been determined that there are two troll posters on that thread. The original pot stirrer, and her (supposed) Fiance'. :confused3 I don't understand why people just want to hurt others with their unkind comments. I am glad that y'all are such a nice bunch. I guarantee if a troll tries to come on our thread, we will run them out of town! You don't mess with our PEEPS! ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: (that is all of us working together!)

I made it to jazzercise! I had to laugh today, the instructor said if anything is jiggling or shaking then tighten it up! Yeah right, I'd need a bra of concrete and panties of steel to keep things from jiggling when I'm bouncing around! I guess it's good I don't wear a thong, there'd be an earthquake everytime I swung my hips!:lmao: And with all the skinnie minnies there I seriously feel like the dancing hippo, I just need a pink tutu. Do you think they come in my size?

It says it's a miracle suit, does that mean we buy one and get a figure like hers? :rotfl2:

No Jo the miracle would be if I could get in a size it would come in!!!:rotfl2: PLus nothing short if a miracle would not to look like 50 lbs of potatoes in a 10lb sack!!!:rotfl:

Thanks, Stacey! I thought it was just me but I guess it really was the DIS. Probably everybody trying to get on the haircut thread.
I would like my "after" to be sporting something like this.....
Wow! That is very cute, Fidge! I think you could fit into that by next season! :thumbsup2 Tankinis never work for me cause all my squish is in the middle and the muffin-top tankini look ain't cute!
I guess it's good I don't wear a thong, there'd be an earthquake everytime I swung my hips!:lmao:
I hope you keep going to jazzercise, winkers, cause there is a LOT of good humor coming out of your experiences! :rotfl2:

OK...I tried posting this morning and it was "lost" in cyber space! :confused3 Then, when I just went to post, everything I wanted to multi quote earlier popped up! What is going on?!? I just deleted all of it because I would have to reread it all in order to try to remember what I wanted to reply!

I would like my "after" to be sporting something like this.....I can't get the photo in but the link is here ...very frustrating!

BORG duncanssweetie!!!

oh and UMA I believe a troll is not anything like a Tag Fairy, a troll is someone who is completely and totally bored and tries to incite a riot by posting controversial things, or sarcastically on purpose - a troll is usually not a member of a board, but just someone "trolling" message boards for the soul purpose of causing "trouble" and then sitting back and lol at the ensuing results!! They get a kick out of watching how people react to their posts... hmmm by definition I think that would mean a few "regular" posters (ie flowerschild only posts in a childlike manor, and bumps up his old threads, and does like to wait for those that call him on his "true" persona, and at the same time there are dis'ers that come to his defense not knowing he is intelligent!!) TROLLS grab you into drama!!

All right, I'm not sure where/how to start on this thread, but I figure I'll just jump right in here with a (not-so-)quick introduction so y'all know where I'm coming from.

I've struggled with my weight almost my entire life. From birth through 3rd grade, I was a pretty normal weight. But somehow, during the summer between 3rd and 4th grade I ballooned. I wasn't a very active kid, so that definitely had something to do with it. And I developed a real love affair with food, which didn't help much either. I was able to maintain an unhealthy, but not deadly weight of about 195 through most of high school and college. When I met my now-wife 5 years ago, I was 5'8" and around 190. Over the course of the next three years, I somehow managed to gain almost 50 pounds.

Then two years ago, my former boss' husband died of a heart attack at age 62. For some reason, that really hit me hard. Not because I knew him well, which I didn't. But because I realized that if I wasn't careful that would be me. So for my now-wife and I dating anniversary, I received a 6-month membership to Weight Watchers online. This 6-month membership would take me up to and through our wedding. I used to be very skeptical of Weight Watchers. I would make jokes like "I don't need to spend money to be told to not eat that 3rd pork chop". But when I started on the program, I realized something. I DID need to pay money to be told to not eat as much. And much to my surprise, it worked. I was able to lose 25 pounds and one pants size before my wedding. I was 215 pounds for our honeymoon, and I thought the next 25 pounds would go just as easy.

But over the course of the past year and a half, I got lazy. I kept a lot of the good habits that Weight watchers taught me, so I didn't gain much of the weight back that I lost. But I wasn't very strict with what I was eating, so I didn't lose any weight either. My weight would fluctuate between 210 and 220 pounds. And my wife managed to gain about 20 pounds herself. And the funny thing is, that is probably the best thing that could have happened to me.

Throughout the past year and a half, my wife wasn't as supportive as she could have been. She would always say "I want to help you lose weight"; but she would say that while picking out a chocolate long john donut at the grocery store. For someone who loves sweets as much as I do, that was pretty much an open invitation to get jelly filled donut of my own. I would never blame her for my weight problem, but she also wasn't helping matters at all; even if it probably was just subconsciously.

Then on New Year's Day, my wife was on the computer. I asked her what she was doing, and her response surprised me. "I'm joining Weight Watchers online." I knew then that I would have a partner in my struggle. And so far, it has been great. When planning out our meals for the week, we make sure to point things out before committing to them. If one of us has a weak moment, the other one is there to be supportive and give a little "shove" in the right direction. So here we are, on week 8 of our diet. I have lost about 11 pounds since the start of the year and I am feeling great. My wife is down about 8 pounds herself. And I can say with 100% confidence that if it wasn't for my wife joining Weight Watchers with me, that I would not have had the success these past 7 weeks that I have had.

So anyway, that is a condensed version of my struggles. I'm hoping to keep checking in here to keep myself honest. And I'll be sure to be as supportive as possible to the rest of you trying to reach your own personal goals.

After reading through a dozen or so pages of this thread, I get the feeling that I am the only guy here. Which is cool with me, if it is cool with you. But that means that I can't really answer the bathing suit question at all. For most guys (and if I had my druthers, it would be ALL guys not on some sort of swimming and diving team), the only option is swim trunks. But the problem is, that means no shirt. So I guess I want my "after" to wear any trunks, so long as I'm not embarrassed to do it shirtless.

Hi-you are not the only guy on our thread. Bee's husband Grumpythreadhunk is our other thread guy but he is out of town right now and doesn't post much when he is gone (we miss you Grumpy:sad1: ). We also had another thread dude but I think we scared him off:rotfl:
