Ok, just ate some lunch - a yummy homemade asian chicken wrap (using last nights chicken) for just 6.5 pts. :woohoo: And now it is back to work. Aren't you just loving the play by play of my fabulous Saturday?

Pigget? or Eeyore? I forget now who is making the Peep meet list, but here is my situation:

That weekend is my niece's birthday BUT for the past 6 years of her life, they have never had a birthday party on her actual birthday. But I wouldn't want to miss it. I will also be in my last semester and in my internship by then so that means that I will be working full time pretty much. This is also why I don't want to sign up for any of the marathon actitivities because there is a good chance I won't be there to do them. I can cancel a hotel room easy enough though, but don't you have to pay for the race? What is the easiest race again? Because that is what I'd be doing - Is the 5k the same as the Family Fun Run?

Sorry so long and complicated - I really do want to go but there is a lot going on that weekend!

WAIT A MINUTE! HOLD THE PHONE!

I just remembered that this semester didn't start until January 9 so next semester will probably start the Monday after the Peep weekend! Which means I could probably go! Of course the whole niece birthday thing is still an issue but not as bad. Ok, put me down as a maybe-probably-yes for the meet arriving Friday and leaving Sunday.

I'll keep lurking for some motivational support!
Please check in often, Kelli! We miss you too!!! :grouphug:
:cool1: :cool1: WOOOHOOOTY Melinda!!:cool1:
Thank you!!!
I am considering a kitten for him he just loves them soo, but my sister is very allergic and would not be able to come and stay at the house on vacation. I am so torn, any ideas would help.
Do you like your sister??? :confused3 Just kidding! If you already have a cat then a kitten wouldn't hurt would it? Maybe DS would like to go the caged animal route....guinea pig? hamster? Although personally I like the kitties myself. :)
WE DID IT!!
WAY TO GO, GIRLS!!!! That's a great time too! I can't walk that fast....I would have to do some running.
:woohoo: Good for you... and  on the "shorter walking partner" Me - I'm 5'11 so I wont be much help!!
 5'11"?!?!? That's tall! I think UM is about 5'9" and Monica maybe 5'10". HOW TALL ARE ALL YOU PEEPS??? Post your height! I'm only 5'5".

Thanks so cute! Glad DH is in on the fun! Hope you feel better soon.
Well, Gwen Stefani will be in Indy on 6/3, and I AM GOING!!! :woohoo: I wonder how skinny I will be by then?

WOOHOOTY I finished the 5K in 47.50 min - all but the last mile were under 15 min and then that last mile we had to make a potty stop but we finished!!!! My partner has long legs like me, but with it being 27 degrees this morning my foot started cramping up and I had to take it really slow...We ran in spurts til we had to potty real bad then we were afraid we'd make icicles so we walked more than we ran!

:woohoo: CONGRATULATIONS!:woohoo: GIRLS YOUR MY INSPIRATION.:worship: I would like to try a 5k in the near future but every time I mention it to someone and ask if they would like to join me, they look at me like I'm crazy.:crazy2:

Maybe. Just maybe I should ask Melinda.:scratchin

shhhhh - dont tell Lynda's dh!! :rolleyes1 and your tagline is awfully funny too!! I dont mean to sound naggy, but I do hope Bee's absence means she's getting some much deserved "me" time!! :dance3: She had it hard being single for so long!! Darn real life when it makes us actually work for a living!!

I for one am hoping the semester start for Univ of IL is delayed a week so my live in babysitters will be here to take care of dd... I have a back up plan!! I think the 5K is $35 and the spots fill up FAST!! I check everyday - that "goofy" race filled up before payday!!

What?!? Peep water causes babies?

Who is pregnant? (besides MonyMonyMonica?)

You guys are a riot. Hi Disney Jo- we haven't met- but I really enjoyed your post about fanny pack vs. bum bag... now I have to be all concerned about cross cultural humo(u)r. :) One thing I love about the DIS is broadening my horizens.

Spongie- Congrats on the new family member!

Utah- NO WAY!!!! So happy for you!!!!!!!!

I also need to quit wasting so much time playing. We are putting our house on the market and I need to get it cleaned and organized.... this weekend! So I don't think I will try to exercise today but maybe "power clean" while I suck in my abs.

Have a skinny day, Peeps!

Twinkie, you're back! How was the trip? You're moving? Back to NC?

Melinda - I too am vertically challenged and long believe that my weight would not be an issue had I been as tall as siblings, my sister in 5'10"

me 5'5"??
I HEAR YA!! My mom--5'8" My dad--6' My brother---6'2"
I have the two shortest sweetest grandmothers in the world to thank for my genes. :)

ok got a question is anyone going without a DH?? I cannot get DH to go, hoping I will not be the only one solo???

I don't think DH would go but DD17 definitely wants to go! I hope I can afford for us both to go.

DisneyJo I had a pen pal from England in high school, she came for a visit - and I thought I was showing her "the" sights of Northern Indiana - the Sand Dunes - they are spectacular - very tall - special... that's when she informed me they had sand and beaches in England!! :oopsy:
Can I just educate you guys a bit you all know that the UK is an island right, well guess what we're surrounded by water which means we have tons of beaches some superb golden sand others stoney and horrid, BTW I'm not being sarcastic. :rotfl2: Right lesson over!

I cant get over my friends name is a naughty no no in English speak... Randy!! :rotfl2: it just cracks me up!!:rotfl2:
Utahmama it isnt the water that is causing all of the pregnancies....see above:lmao:
That's why Randy is a man's name as most most men are! :rotfl2:

Thanks Jo! What is dry slope skiing?
It's skiing down a hill on white matting stuff, sounds great doesn't it, :rotfl2: it's because it's a long way to any proper mountains. the girls did really well, Ellie fell twice but soon got back up. Jess got in a mood because she didn't go right to the top of the nursery slope, and then because I wouldn't buy her a fancy drink. It was a while until I realised that she was so grumpy because she had been on a sleep over last night and only got 5 and a half hours sleep. :scared1: So I've already sent her for bath and bed and it's not 7pm yet!

 5'11"?!?!? That's tall! I think UM is about 5'9" and Monica maybe 5'10". HOW TALL ARE ALL YOU PEEPS??? Post your height! I'm only 5'5".
I'm 5'6"

Well done to the 5Kers you should be so proud. I wish I could come to the meet and see you all in the flesh but my DH would kill me or worse make me go back to work to pay for it. Also I'd have to go for at least a week to make it worth while, actually when you say it like that it sounds pretty good!

Melinda you'll never guess what, I woke up early (7am) this morning as my kind DH brought my tablet up so I could eat breakfast an hour later before the taxi service began!

Translate please? Breakfast in bed? :confused3 That would be sweet!

I think there were quite a few going solo or bringing a friend. We don't care how you come just as long as you come.:)

I am 5'4" I think but Dragonfly wants to have me professionally measured-maybe I am shrinking.

mony,I think you were saying that you are already in maternity(too lazy to look), with my fourth I was out of my regular clothes BEFORE I took the test.I was trying to figure out how I was gaining weight when I was so sick with the flu.:rolleyes1

Way to go Harley, Dragonfly, and Dismom!:yay: :dance3:

And good job to those trying to get your exercise in!

On an odd note, my trainer was actually nagging me today to take a day off... :confused3 Uuuuhhhh, doesn't he realize, that if I do that I won't have a little heart sticker on every day of the month? For February at the Y, you get a sticker for every day you do at least 20 minutes of cardio... as of this morning, I'm the only person with a sticker every single day.

Sorry I've been a bit out of it... had a drastic mood swing earlier in the week. It started 'cause I REALLY wanted to get below 300 on Monday, but missed it and ended up 301.6. Then on Tuesday, I met with my trainer and he looked at my food diary. I was that puppy wanting a pat on the head for the wonderful things I had done... I took my eating from a 0 to a 7... but he didn't notice that, he only noticed that I wasn't a 10 yet. No "wow, no potatoes, fried foods, sugar, or chocolate for over a month"... instead it was "how about skim milk instead of 2%, how about less cheese, Subway... did you see Jared?, how about cutting out the "prepared foods", how about cutting out the pita pizzas, how about cutting out the turkey burritos." (I honestly think he only saw the words pizza and burrito and assumed they were "bad".) I really don't think he meant to sound mean or unsupportive (subsequently, he has said I'm his star "student" and the most dedicated person he trains)... he just didn't give me the validation I was looking for. Of course, he didn't know me "before" so he doesn't know just how much better I have been... ANYWAY, I ended up crying on the way home (darn, shoulda worn water proof mascara) and that evening when I went to bed.

I've always tended to be on the depressive side with a few manic moments scattered here and there. Well, I HAD been manic for the last month... and REALLY enjoying it... it's WAY more fun. So this week I've been battling through it. Every day on the announcements at school, they say "make it a great day or not, the choice is absolutely yours"... so I've been choosing to make it as great a day as I could... were they fabulous days... nah, but I didn't shut down, I didn't quit, I'm making good choices foodwise, and continuing to exercise.

Okay, got that off my chest... time to go eat a VEGGIE pita pizza... :rolleyes1

Translate please? Breakfast in bed? :confused3 That would be sweet!
You didn't read my yesterdays post did you!!!!! I was diagnosed with Rosacea yesterday and have to take antibiotics for 2 months twice a day but you can't eat for 1 hour after taking or 2 hours before. so instead of starving DH brought me my tablet and a glass of water when he got up (way before me!) he is a caring husband. At least it will help up my water intake too. :thumbsup2

Just a quick  you're doing great you should be proud, but I have heard that sometimes it is good for your body to have a day off.

You're my hero, Dene! Good thing that trainer is hot or he'd be outta here! Don't be givin our Dene a hard time, Mr. Hot Trainer!

OK....I admit it....I skim sometimes. I did read that you had rosacea but missed the part about the medication. That's awfully sweet of DH. He might be a keeper. :)
