Help!!!! One of the skinny chicks just walked in with a box of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. :mad: I just looked at her and said, "SINNER!"

Were you actually at the Museums??? That would be really weird! I thought about you when we were up there. I wondered where you were downtown! :rotfl2:

No, it really doesn't. It is absolutely FRIGID!!! It has been snowing here all day. They are expecting 3-5 inches for us today. Schools are closing. Puppy class was cancelled. (It was supposed to be Jasper's first night of agility class.) But I am still at work. The bummer about working for a medical institution - we NEVER shut down! Our office is closed like 5 days out of the year (outside of weekends). I miss working for a county-run ambulance service where we were either off or getting paid double time and a half for a holiday every time we turned around. (But the pay was not good, and my boss was not very bright, so I shouldn't complain.:lmao: ) And thank you. Yes, I am very blessed to have a DH who is supportive of what I am trying to do. He had dinner (pork stir fry) ready last night practically when I walked in the door (He's been off since Friday.), and he knew the calories for me! :love:

Lady and The Tramp are special to me, my first band trip in the '70s to WDW, our band marched in the WDW parade...

DH was my "math tutor" and had my itinarary... and called me long distance to ask me to the prom...

I bought the stuffed animals Lady and the Tramp... when I went to college I had dh take care of Lady, and I took care of Tramp... 5 years later they were reunited when dh and I were married...

come on let me hear ya...

lurking and laughing and catching up today...the:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc talk had me spitting fake crystal lite on my new work screen!!! whoops!!!

having my 2nd liter of water with Cherry Limade fake Crystal lite....AND I did 3 mi on teh TM in 45 min today...can I get a atagirl!!! we are registerd for a 5K this Sat and I wanted to make sure I could do it and not have a coronary...I have been good today, I am counting calories and making decent choices and drinking enuff water to float a battleship...

And my workout pants fit looser(sp?) WOOO HOOTY!!!! the scale didnt show any loss this morning when I did my cheat weigh(had to see how bad the weekend affected me) but I am on track and ont eh wagon and sittin right up front...when I hit the beach this summer you will hear the angels sing a chorus of Brickhouse for me!!! I will have my trust fireman follow behind me to put out the fire I leave in my wake cause I will be smokin hot:smokin:

And that my friends is what I have positive to say about me today!!!

Very, very sad news to report... I've been lurking at the WISH running/competition thread... and they said the 1/2 marathon is 95% full - there is no way we can put any money down until Friday (payday!!) THose darn college boys zapped us out but good!! :sad1: I really thought I would do that 1/2 marathon, I knew it was challenging, but I was psyching myself up for it... :sad1:

And I forgot to say what I did for myself today that was positive. Well, so far, I have had about 94 oz. of water. I will be having more at home tonight, and I have made good food choices, including a pooh: muffin for my morning and afternoon snacks today. DH informs me that we have received our paperwork in the mail for our Animal Kingdom Lodge DVC points, so we will have to fill that out tonight. And I want to try to finish up the next installment of my trippie. (It is almost done.) I am thinking I may get on my recumbent bike tonight. I feel like it right now. Assuming nothing starts hurting on the way home, I think I will do it. :) Now, just to make it home without getting into any accidents. I am hearing that the roads are not good, but I think it stopped snowing.
 
So.....had to pick the kids up early today....school dismissed 3 hours early. Made a big pot of chili and waiting for the big snow to start.....only about 3/4" so far.
You asked so here it goes-The last two weeks have been totally crazy at my house. As you know, I do in home childcare so that takes up about 11 hours of my day. Well, DS11 just started a paper route and as it has been below zero (wish we would get some snow) every night I go with him and help deliver the papers. That's about two more hours out of my day. Also, DH owns his own business and I keep the books for him. Well the 1099s had to be done by January 31 so that took hours of my time. Then on top of everything else MY computer crashed. We own four computers at our house-mine is the one with ALL the financial info on it. Do any of the others crash? Nope has to be mine. It wasn't just a little crash-it was a major break down-it has to do with the motherboard:eek: . Anyway-I have spent the last two days downloading this years financial info from the banks that we use onto one of our other computers. It will take me extra time this year to do our taxes as I will have to just go through last years receipts, but I can do it.
Oh, Jeanne!!! I'm so sorry! Sounds like a lot to handle all at once. I know about the motherboard issue, first hand. :sad2: I'm so proud of you for behaving food wise. I know that was hard. YOU ARE AWESOME!!! :)
Please say a prayer also for my Father.

I made it home safe and sound! Yippie! This weather if crazy. Our highways are being shut down because of wrecks all over the place.

I dediced this is going to be the best for me. Cause, then I can stay away from food. I cant eat in moderation. I am sick. Once several years ago I was on a medically supervised diet called medifast. I got 3 shakes a day, a salad and 8 oz of meat. I lost 50 lbs in like 4 months. I need to do this for myself. I think the reason it worked is because I didnt have to eat. Ok, so this is my plan, I will do this shake thing to lose more quickly then I will be able to contol better and slowly wean in foods again, and monitor closely.

I am SICK and I have to do this for myself. I CANT live this way anymore. When I say this next thing. I view this like someone who has to take medicine to stay alive. Like chemo, or things that make people sick to get better. If I dont lose weight it will kill me. So, I have to drink these shakes to lose weight. It is not something I will enjoy doing but I have to do it. I quit smoking I can lose weight!! I am not minimizing the fact that many people are ill, it is just my analogy.

Ok, I love all y'all Really I do!!

I want to walk in the Peep Meet and right now I can barely walk a block w/o being out of breath and sick. Back hurting. I am FAT!!

I want to be SLIM!!

I can hear the pain in you post. :hug: You are doing something good for yourself, it might not feel like it and it maight take a while to see results but you made the decision to start taking care of you. Eating healthy and in moderation is not a punishment, it is a way of acheiving a goal. It is also the reward of a healthy attitude. YOU are worth a full and healthy life. We'll help you get there each step of the way.

Glad to hear grumpythreadhunk Dan is coming home. I know that will help lift your spirits and also help with the motivation. It seems the two of you compliment each other and I surmise that you hold each other up when the going gets tough.

P.S. I personally like the slim fast shakes and bars. I think some of the snack bars taste almost like the candy bars I crave.



Ultra sound went, well, it went. They had problems measuring the heart rate cause the baby was so active, so they did a Trans vag one. Oy! That was the most uncomfortable experience as a whole.

The baby is doing great. At my next apt in March we'll see if the due date is different, but I'm guessing we are right on. Tomorrow I'll be 11 weeks.

At one point we were looking at the image of the baby on the screen and it looked like it was waving to us.

It's like this whole thing is finally validated.

YAY! Healthy baby! My DS gave me the 'hand 10' sign during a u/s. I still have the pic in his baby book. It was really cute.

Since you all are morning posters, but I am more of a late night kind of gal myself, I'm just now starting to working through this a.m.'s posts. So, I'm sure someone already pointed this out ... but just thought I'm mention that 6096 + 4 does NOT equal 7,000. Of course, I'm more of a word person than a math person. Maybe there is some secret DIS math I've not learned.

Or ... and this is what I'm hoping ... y'all got some magic numbers thing going on that will somehow help the # of minutes I'm exercising to magically grow!

I used to work with this stick figure girl and she had tons of candy bars in her desk.... she would only take a BITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One day in one of my moods me and one of my equally twisted co workers said we had enough of her bites!!! SHE HAD TO EAT THE DARN CANDY BAR OR WE WOULD WIPE OUT THAT BIG DRAW FOR OF CHOCOLATE IN 30 SECONDS!!!

The funniest thing..she looked at us so oddly and said...oh my I forgot they were even in there!!!

I think you can cross her off the Christmas card list. How terrible to tempt someone like that. I'm almost glad we don't have a Krispy Kreme close enough to tempt me, I love those doggone fat pills.

I'm off to the TM to warm up a bit. I've been good today, I had a yogurt and a salad. DH had a very bad morning and wanted Chinese food. I went along and ordered pretty healthy and brought 95% of my entree home for the youngin's. I only had 2 pts before we went so I knew I had a bit of leeway to eat something tasty. I haven't had nearly enough water yet, but I did drink an entire pot of jasmine tea while we were eating.
 
I made it home! :cheer2: Now I don't want to leave. Including for work in the morning. :guilty: And tomorrow is food day at work! :sad2: Ugh! I think I will stop for veggies on the way to work in the morning.

Trying to find the marathon on disney but I cannot find it. Does anyone have a link. Did not realize it was that close.

I will try to have a list together by Thurs. of who all said they were going that weekend. If you are planning on going to the meet let me know.

I think that was for people who were going to run both the Half Marathon and the Marathon. The website says that the Half Marathon is still open. I don't know what you were planning, but maybe it isn't quite closed yet. I hope for your sake it isn't. Just trying to be optimistic. :)

As long as you are getting the LOVIN' you need (from us) you'll do it ! Have a plan for if you get hungry in advance. Have your slimfast snack bars or whatever so you'll succeed. Prior propper planning and all that. You are worth the sacrifice. I'm totally with you on the addiction analogy. Such as cigarettes. You dont need to smoke to live. Alcohol and drugs...dont need those to live etc. But food? Sometimes thats the hard part. At least the shakes have calories and vitamins etc. Do what you did before since it worked so well. Dang, if you lost 50 in 4 months last time....you are gonna be one hot mama next January!

Just checking in, I have done pretty good since joining Friday. I did have some pizza on Sunda but limited myself to two pieces from a medium size thin crust, AND it had veggies on it so that was a plus, too. I've been doing okay with the Crystal Light but I still can't seem to drink what I should, alomost but not quite.

I have to give myself a BIG WOO HOOTY..... I walked 2.25 miles today. It was gorgeous outside so when I picked up my girls we went for a walk around the lake/pond park about a block from our house. My goal for the month is to be able ot walk around it twice. I didnt make it around it today, but that its my two week goal. It is about 3 and a half miles total around so I won't have much more to walk. The only thing is the weather is going to turn off bad again tonight so I will have to rely on my treadmill or, if the roads are clear, head to the Y and swim.

I just wanted to "pop" in and say Hi, adn let you all know that I have included all of you in my prayers, I hope you don't mind. I pray that we all have the strength to do this, and that we know that we are worth it, and that we willlove ourselves later in life for doing so now. My Mom always said that it gets harder when you're older, and you know what?....Mom was right, it's been hard, but I know it is worth it.

I go to the doctor on Thursday, so I will go by his scales to see how accurate mine are for my weigh-ins. (I'm hoping that mine are telling the truth,LOL)

Tomorrow I must get up very early since DH is in Houston. Must make myself go to bed early, but must finish the wash first. DD just told me it is PJ day tomorrow. Must make sure the her good jammies are clean :thumbsup2 She wanted wear them to bed--just thought she could roll out of bed and go--NOT!! Anyway good noght everyone.
 
Today was a good step. I had a hair appt right after work, which in the past has been my excuse to grab something not good on the way (i.e. Chicken McNuggets). Today I brought a salad with leftover chicken for lunch, and had a grapefruit at 4:30 before I left work, and had a banana and low fat peanut butter when I got home from the salon at 8:15!! NO MCNUGGETS!!!:banana: :banana:
