 Are you being cheeky because you know I always get up at the crack of dawn.

Yeah I can actually post a link for you Melinda, see I can be clever too. :rotfl2:
What a Christingle is! It is a really sweet service and as candles and sweets are involved of course all the children love it too.

Well my roast chicken and potatoes are in the oven, not really healthy I know, but us Brits have to have our Sunday roast. :rotfl2: We will be having 4 types of veg though so that's good. :thumbsup2

That's cool! I've never heard of this!

Morning All... I am still in MN. I have to drive home today.. YUCK!

I think DizneyDawn is gonna take us shopping today. So, I get to see her again!:thumbsup2

Pixie, I just noted your trippie.

Thanks Melinda for the prayers. I just have to get through church (8:30 - 1:30) and small group is at my house, which means cleaning and cooking all day. Who said Sunday's were for rest? I go to the dr. tomorrow. Now my DH is not feeling well - thinks it is his prostate. He is a much bigger baby than I am. Something in his body (or mind) always reacts to me being sick. Like, wait, she can't be sick, that's my job. Anyway - add patience and compassion to my prayer list. I make a terrible nurse - kind of the suck it up and get over it type.

Wendy - How old were you when you go pregnant with Norah? My good friend is 39 has two kids 16 and 14 and just found out she is pregnant. Obviously it is a God thing, but surprising none the less.

I've only just realised what :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc meant, hilarious!!! And talking of those I'm so glad we stopped at 2 kids as my ample bust expanded by a cup size after each one ahhhh, not that DH is complaining. :rotfl2:

dance2874 - :welcome: and to all the other newbies.

Oh I just did mine yesterday, go to account options in top RH corner, then go to edit my albulm settings then where it says my albulm is click and choose private. It's quite easy as I managed it. :rotfl:

We've just got these over in the UK and OMG they are so delicious, when the store first opened, about 2 years ago so don't flame me, they had a deal where if you bought 12 assorted you got 12 glazed ring ones free, how can you turn down an offer like that. You guys have much nicer goodies in the States with the exception of our Cadbury's.

Well I've had a nice lie in this morning as we don't have to dash to church, DD's are in the choir, as we have our Christingle service today and it's not until 4pm. Do you have Christingle with the orange with a candle in and little sweeties (which luckily I don't like!) on cocktail sticks?

Cadbury's like in Cadbury eggs! Those are my favorite - I will use one as a meal replacement close to Easter! I have not heard of this service, when I get home I will use your link to find out more. A service with sweets - sounds great to me!

Stacey....I was 37 when I had DS and although I cried (not tears of joy!) through the whole pregnancy, DS is my greatest joy. The girls were nearly 7 and 11 when he was born and it is so sweet the way they love, adore, and mother him. We have all enjoyed having him in a way that we could not have if he'd been born earlier. God does have such a wonderful way of blessing our lives whether we initially realize it's a blessing or not. Sure she's older but she'll have lots of help from the whole family with this little one. Congratulations to your friend and her family!!! :)

Just wanted to say that the whole "Crack OF DAWN" thing brings back very personal and emotional trauma from my childhood as well as... "Dawn...takes grease out of your way!" and the ever oldie but none the the less handsome, "Dawnie and Marie Osmond." So lets now refer to that cliche as
a thing of the past and refer to it as "the crack of Bob" because Bob's crack is much larger so it has to start earlier than mine. Thank you for your consideration in this delicate matter.

I got up at the crack of Bob today.. or the crack of Grumpy :rotfl2: .

I dont know, I just know I was up darn early!!:rotfl2:

I'm watching the Today show right now and they just had on some lady who said doughnuts are not healthy...even organic doughnuts:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: . Like we need a nutrionist to tell us this breakuing news! I guess she wouldn't have approved of my meal plan yesterday:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: .

I'm going to try to be good this week and get back into habits I was good about when we started out here in November and December, when I did so well. I've gotten a bit lax! I have to make sure I drink more water, eat breakfast, even if I'm not hungry in the morning, and write down what I eat and the calorie count! I bought a pretty jounal to do this in. I really think that I may not have been eating enough the past couple of weeks because I've been estimating in my head rather than looking up the calorie counts and keeping close track each day.

DH just went to do the grocery shopping  I'm having him buy some Kashi cereal for me. I'll try the go lean crunch with honey and almonds.

Wish me luck! 9 weeks until the world! I wanted to be another 15 down by then, but think that might be unrealistic.

dd at a sleepover = dh and I get romantic evening  until DS decides to show up!! :rotfl2: and then some critter in the attic/wall/

Several of you have mentioned how old your oldest will be when you turn forty-mine will be turning 21 yrs old. The rest will be 19,18,and thirteen.

Still me - 21, 18 and TEN!! and I'm pushing 50! :scared1:
:welcome: newbies!!
Fidge,I love the pics.:goodvibes

Melinda,,thanks for the tip about the yogurt.I love yogurt and need that benefit.:thumbsup2

Lynn,I enjoed the pictures, your family is beautiful!

I know there is more to say but Rachel is having a meltdown and ignoring is not working.Time for Plan B.:confused3
again, welcome to my world!! I hate the meltdowns!

Your comment made me:lmao: .Yesterday Dragonfly was taking a pic for my recipe scrapbook and she told me to fix my:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc because one was higher than the other.

That reminds me,does anyone have any suggestions for a good bra that would put my :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc where God intended them to be??They are not that big but they look like two deflated balloons.I think that is where my 14 1/2 lbs loss has come from.:sad1:

I was on the Budget Board and grabbed the 6/6/4 Lane Bryant special = $24 for all those panties and 4 bras - then took them back to the mall and she fitted me - that is enlightening... GO - get fitted. I cried btw... so very emotional - she made me wear a bra I would NEVER pick for myself, I thought it was a padded bra - that's one thing I'll NEVER need... well, she was right, I bought it along with 3 others, and I've now got a fav bra - no snow thru!! BUT she did mention one was larger than the other - AND . . AND you may not wear your bras two days in a row, they need a rest!! (lol) and AND you need to replace your bras every SIX MONTHS!! However, I kinda like lookin at the sistas sittin up where they belong!! Gives me a little :bounc in my step, my posture is better too!!

I dont have $20 and if I drop I cant get back up

ROFLOL - (I think I'm going to go over the limit of smilies... so pretend with me!!) WHERE IS ARIES??!!

Hi all...just had to say I just had the privalege of spending 6 hours with Bee and was so glad we realized she would be within minutes of my home! Maybe you all have had prior chances to meet other Peeps but this was our 1st and was awesome! Dan...AKA Grumpy...was even perplexed over how we all felt like we had know each other before. (It was decided it was not from my days a a highly paid pin-up model for Perkins! :rotfl2: )

Anyway...Bee and Grumpster have an awesome family with two girls who kept us smiling! If this is a sample of how awesome life could be in January with a 5K hike ...I am in!:cutie:
I've also had the opportunity of meeting some online posters, and you are so right - count me in, I'm not going to miss this meet!!

Welcome to the party!
Just have to mention - I know UTWendyM calls you S'late, but I always refer to you as "slo rules" I'm trying to break myself, esp with your purty glittery siggy, but I still hear myself say "slo rules"

WE LOVE YOU TOO, WENDY!!!!!!
DITTO

How do you mark your page!?
When I finish/catch up, I hit "favorites" on my computer, and save it - now it "used" to tell me I already had this set in fav do I want to change, and I'd hit yes, now however I just have to go in and delete when I notice I have ten "peep" pages... Its easier than my brain trying to remember, page 343, etc...

[ Shizzle for Rizzle!

!!
i think wendy lou lou has seen the Kmart commercial one to many times:laughing:[/QUOTE]

I do love that saying tho!!

Melinda - I think we must be twins!! BORG (isnt that the saying when you have the same experience as a Peep?) I got to your summary, and each post, and comment, I'm nodding my head and thinking "what Melinda said" Then this post... that IS ME!! DS was in 6th grade, and on a travel hockey team when dd came along - and I nursed her in the hockey stands, hoping I wouldnt embarrass the kid - we'd take special lunches to discuss things tho, and he was pleased with his dd, and most of the team was from Canada, at one time or another, and they definately supported the nursing!!

Good Moning all. I have been up since the crack of Bob too today...not sure why. DD is still asleep, so there is no reason to be awake! And yes, it is almost 10 where I live (TX) and she is still asleep. I am blessed to have a child that likes to sleep in.

I am going to go back and read the bios, thanks for the page number! I am reading backwards to try to catch up, so I will go check them out and post one of my own. And yes, the numbers do mean something...My birthday was 2/28/74, so I just used the 28 and 74. I have the same screen name at just about every site I use. My memory is nonexistant. I cant remember different names and passwords anymore!

WELCOME to the Dance Dance2874(um cant read my writing!!2874? oops )

Jo, you just mentioned the Sunday Roast!! YUMMM I'm there - guess I'll just have to make my own tho!! and we have the Krispy Kream delima also, but here, KK uses it as a fundraiser - if you buy a $5 card you get 12 punches, to buy one get one dozen glazed FREE!!

Believe it or not, I dont like donuts. Altho I will eat one KK, but other than that, I just dont get tempted by donuts (oh and I'll only eat that one Krispy Kream if its heated/warm.. microwave 11 seconds...

Now cheese, sausage, bacon, Dr. Pepper, those I cant resist, donuts, cakes, not so much... :confused3 Even chocolate mostly I'm fine with just one Dove piece, sometimes tho... :rolleyes1

and then there is Sunday Morning. DH loves to bake. So here he is while I type with the Peeps, making some awesome amazing German Pancake, its more like an apple souffle than a traditional American pancake with syrup... the smell... intoxicating... you make it in a ten inch cast iron skillet, add apples till soft, then the batter is 4 eggs and a little flour, a little sugar, pour on top and bake in a really hot oven... it "puffs" up...

Guess who must do situps, and jog in place... Gotta luv the cook tho!!

Hey Peeps! DH got back from the grocery store with my Kashi Go Lean Crunch! He got the regular because they were out of the honey almond that I wanted to try. This stuff is delicious!!!!! I can't believe it! I am usually not a high fiber cereal fan! But I love this stuff! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Pixie- I love that stuff. Have you tried teh Kashi hot creal? It's like really good multigrain oatmeal in little packages. I eat two packages because the serving size is really small with oatmeal packettes. I add craisins too sometimes. Soooo yummy.

Hey! Welcome New Girl, Dance2874!!!!!! Your pictures are relly cute. Cant wait to read your bio. Tell us what floats your boat, rocks your socks, etc. We're nosey that way!

I scoop Kashi Go Lean Crunch in plastic bags and take them to work/school for a snack!!

I cant believe its 10:30 and I'm still in jammies!!! LUV lazy Sundays!!!

Haven't tried to hot cereal, but I will. It took me a long time to try the cold!

11:30 here and I'm still in PJs too!:cloud9:

Dene....I just noticed you are from Fort Worth-ish area. DD and I were there a couple years ago to work at Mission Arlington for a week. Loved it! Went to a Fort Worth Cats game on July 4th and also went to Six Flags. Lotsa fun there!

Spent 6 years teaching in a Fort Worth Middle School... now I work where I live, about 30 miles southwest of Fort Worth. I like being so close to DFW 'cause it is easy to pop over there for shopping, etc.

One should NOT be facing one's 40th birthday with one's DS turning 18 this year. Shizzle for Rizzle!

DD is turning 20 in October! :scared1:

I made hotel reservations for our trip to see The Who in Reno. DH is so good. I was down to 2 choices, and one included the dinner buffet. He said, "That's not what you want, is it?" There's still a part of me that does want that; that wants to pig out on vacation, but he reminded me of the part that wants to look smokin' hot when we hit the dance floor, jacuzzi, or sheets (sorry if that last one is TMI).

Not TMI... the thought of you standing at the clothesline beating the sheets with a baseball bat doesn't bother me in the least!

Ahhhh Dene can you slow down a little you killing me with that exercise you got going no wonder you lsot 7 lbs, when do you have time to eat?? Gotta love it!!!

Oh, I'll pr'olly slow down before long... it happens. I've only lost 5% of my body weight in the 3 weeks... for a 150 lb person that would be 7.5 lbs in 3 weeks. And a LOT of my initial weight was water... there is a pic of me 2 days before Christmas and my hands were HUGE... major swelling. That problem's gone... we dissected rats Friday (that'll stifle your appetite) and the goggles didn't leave a "mark" on my face. Before the holidays, I had goggle marks for 2 hours after I took them off! :scared:

Back in the day, I was VERY active... just been out of the habit for the last 20 years. All the exercise does keeps me out of the recliner. Plus, between having 1 1/2 hours per day I'm NOT commuting anymore, a newly empty nest, and a hunky trainer... the gym is a more interesting place to be than home. :rolleyes1

Ya'll should be proud of me today! I went to Food Lion and managed to resist buying Oreos. The were buy one get one free. Instead, I bought about 10 boxes of WW chocolate cake....it was on sale for $1.31 a box.

Good for you!

They are not that big but they look like two deflated balloons.I think that is where my 14 1/2 lbs loss has come from.:sad1:

It is SO not fair... DD actually increases in cup size when she loses weight! :sad2: I figure I'll just visit the doc and get them "reinflated" later.

I dont have $20 and if I drop I cant get back up

:lmao: :thumbsup2

"Well, I look like I've got a busted t**!"

:rotfl2:

So I have spent the last however long reading this thread (as I ate my dinner and evening snack of course!:rolleyes1 ) and I need to join too. I need to lose alot, probably close to 70 pounds to be healthy. Lord, how did I let myself end up here??

My students didn't believe that I used to be a jock so I took a pic from when I was 16 to school. One of the boys (you know, the one who usually gets into trouble for talking too much and not being serious 'cause he's cute and not the brightest bulb in the box)... anyway, he goes "Ms. Carter!... (long pause) What happened?!?!"

DD and I had to have a heart to heart about the diet plan. She wants to lose weight, but this is more work than she thought!

DD fell off the wagon after one week... I've pushed all I can, now just trying to lead by example... "hey, let's go for a walk", "hey, you wanna go to the gym with me", "hey, let's try these turkey burgers". :sad2:

So lets now refer to that cliche as
a thing of the past and refer to it as "the crack of Bob" because Bob's crack is much larger so it has to start earlier than mine. Thank you for your consideration in this delicate matter.

No problemo!

I was on the Budget Board and grabbed the 6/6/4 Lane Bryant special = $24 for all those panties and 4 bras

I got 4 pretty pink bras for me and 4 red bras for DD! They weren't the same style as I had been wearing, but these actually work better... 'specially when exercising! :yay:

When I finish/catch up, I hit "favorites" on my computer, and save it - now it "used" to tell me I already had this set in fav do I want to change, and I'd hit yes, now however I just have to go in and delete when I notice I have ten "peep" pages... Its easier than my brain trying to remember, page 343, etc...

I just read to the end of the thread, then when I come back to the DIS, I click the little checkmark thingy at the front of the thread name... takes me the next post I haven't seen yet.

and we have the Krispy Kream delima also, but here, KK uses it as a fundraiser - if you buy a $5 card you get 12 punches, to buy one get one dozen glazed FREE!!

I have coupons for 4 "free" dozen KK... from a fundraiser at school a couple of years ago. They expire in December... think I'll "donate" them to my brother to take to the firehouse. Yesterday, I "donated" a pound of bacon to my parents for when my 3 yo nephew comes over... he loves bacon. :sad2:

Sorry, can't remember who was asking... but my Costco has 4 Kashi dinners (2 sweet and sour, 2 chicken pomodoro) for $9.99.

Ok, so I have caught up some more and am ready to do a bio about me I guess! I have a tendency to ramble, so I hope this doesnt turn into a tv movie of the week.

My name is Jen. I live in the North Dallas area, in TX of course, and I am 32...for a few more weeks anyways. I have been married to my husband Joe for almost 6 years and we have one daughter, Amanda, who is 4. I currently am a SAHM but I do a few things part time. I am a nanny to a cute little newborn baby boy 3 days a week. (I have been a nanny for different families before this one, and I love working with kids) I also teach Dance (ballet and tap) to preschoolers in area daycares and preschools. I am an independant contractor of sorts for a company that has been doing that for over 35 yrs here. It is great because I pick where and when I want to teach, they find me the schools, and the parents dont have to take their kids anywhere because we do it at their schools. And I get to do something I really love. My DH is a 'used car salesman', but I promise he is not shady or sleazy ;) He is not a Disney person at all but I married him anyways, and after our trip in Sept he said he had had enough for a lifetime...yet I have almost conviced him it would be a great idea to return this fall. :cool1: I have always loved Disney but only went a once as a kid and once as an adult before this past fall.

Lets see...I grew up outside of Cleveland, OH and so did my DH. All of our family is still pretty much there with the exception of my mom and one of my sisters who are here in TX. After we had dated for about 2 yrs we decided we didnt want to be in OH forever so we literally picked a state we always wanted to go to and picked a city. Seriously. Thinking back, I felt like we were being brave...but had things gone badly we would have been quite stupid to move to a place where we had nobody! :rotfl: We picked LA, CA and were there for a yr before going to San Diego for 3 more years. Then we had our daughter and CA was too pricey...so we came to TX. At least we have some family here, the weather is much better than OH and it is cheaper to live which meant I could SAH. In CA I was working for a car dealership in the service dept. I worked about 50-60hrs per week and was a Service manager. It is quite laughable, because I knew very little about cars before starting that job...but being there for as long as I was I learned alot. The hours were nuts, and I couldnt stand the thought of leaving my daughter, so we had to make a change. It was hard to leave a place where I could drive to Disneyland in less than an hour though!

I went to school for Dance (thus the screen name!) but I never got to finish. I was in a car accident in my 2nd year where I was hit by a semi truck. :scared1: It was scary but I was ok...except for my back and neck. I had to take almost a yr off school because of my major being so physical (I danced close to 8hrs a day)and I never returned.:sad2: Life got in the way and I hope to return to finish at some point. I have pretty much always struggled with weight since I was a teenager. When I was younger I couldnt gain weight. And then my older sister, who was always heavy, put a curse on me. :wizard: I used to eat all day, mostly junk and never gained a pound. Then one day I remember her saying to me once, "One of these days this eating is gonna catch up to you and I am gonna be there laughing when it does!" Arent sisters sweet ? ;) It started to catch up to me in high school and it has been a battle ever since. When I had to stop dancing it really hit me. I thought I was heavy in HS. God I WISH I was that 'heavy' now! The good thing I guess is that people tell me I dont look heavy. But, I know what the scale says, and it is not pretty or healthy. According to 'the charts' I can lose about 70-80 pounds and still be at the high side of my weight range.

Other than that, I love to watch cheesy girly movies and my Tivoed guilty pleasures- General Hospital which I have watched ever since I can remember, and pretty much anything else that is cheesy. I love watching HGTV and those kinds of things, and dream about what I wish I could do. Mission Organization is my latest favorite. I wish I could do what they do to my house. I fear it is a mission impossible however. I also love to scrapbook, when I can find the time, but mostly I love shopping for the supplies. Who am I kidding,I like shopping for just about anything. If only I had the money to support my habit.

Ok, now for the pictures. I have never posted one in a post before, so here goes nothing! The first one is from a yr ago, but it is one I like. Notice the strategic placement of the child to hide my huge fatness, and the laying down to squash my tummy and my DDD's- I like to call them 'the twins'. The second one is from Sept.
