I got a job!!!

I went on one interview and they Hired Me!!

I got a job, I got a job!! I start 2-12-07.. I got a job!!:thumbsup2  :dance3: :cheer2:

Sorry I'm so far behind, but hurray for you.

Thanks for all the prayers peeps! It is okay if I sit in the recliner and don't move at all!!! My DS has been very sweet tonight. Every time I went to get up he ran over to help me. He was even going to help me get to the bathroom.:rotfl: He told me to sit down and let him do the dishes. I'm in pain, not dead!:rotfl2:

Hope you're doing better. DH has chronic hip pain, and was hiding in the bedroom all the time. His sis recommended that he get a new recliner, and now he's out here keeping me company in the living room, snoring away. :rotfl: Still, I love having him close by.

Congrats to all the losers and non-gainers, and  for all the gainers. Some weeks it happens for no discernable reason, and some weeks we know full well what happened. Hang in there, get your water in, and crank out some fat-burning exercise (be a rebel; put on some '80's music).
My loss this week: 2 lbs! I don't know how we count that, because I lost that 2 lbs. before Christmas, gained it back, and just now lost it again. Anyway, I'm very happy to finally be heading in the right direction again. I'm a little upset with myself, because it would have been 3.5 lbs. but I've had a lousy cold (the 3rd since school started in August) and I had to drag myself to a church group meeting last night, and I did a face plant off the wagon out of fatigue/self-pity. I ate dinner before I went so I would control myself, but I caved when the hostess talked about how much food there was (Chinese=super salty) so I had a small plate of that, and then I gave in again and ate Oreo cheesecake (somewhere between 600-800 calories for the 1 slice). That was about a whole day's points when I'd already had about that amount already. Here's the kicker-I couldn't really taste any of it! Oh well!
I dusted the oreo crumbs off of my face and hauled myself right back on the wagon today, gave away a box of chocolate covered macadamia nuts a friend brought me from Maui, and stopped when I had eaten all of my points.
Oh, and my virtual model looked OK to me (she has a firmer tushy than I do, but DH said I'm way hotter than she is). I  that man!

Have a great weekend all!:wave2:

I was going to buy mine a $10 cheesecake! Good thing for me that they misbehaved.

Mmmmmm, cheeeeese cake.....
Nothing better. Does WW have Cheese cake? Because now I'm going to crave it...thanks :cloud9: alot.

Has anyone tried the WW frozen desserts? I like them all, but my favorite is the chocolate cake! It is dance naked in the rain good!

The Key Lime Pie is Captain Jack GOOOOOD! pirate: :cloud9:
:lmao: I passed up the WW chocolate cake in favor of the WW fudgesicles, but I DID buy the key lime pie pirate:

Yo ho ho . . .

And also picked up a bunch of those newish non-WW 100 calorie snack packs to have something easy to throw into my lunches in addition to little bags of mini carrots.

Glad to hear that so many did well this week. Wow, Dene'!!! :woohoo: Well done!

EeyoreSandy - Just had to laugh about your comment on the Asiago Roast Beef sandwich! I had half of one plus the broccoli cheddar soup for lunch today. Not sure if I will experience that same effect, but then I had chili instead of a burger for dinner.

Nuts work best for me for colon blowing. I have to be careful not to eat too many.

MORNING SHOUT OUT!!! :sunny:

CONGRATULATIONS TO YESTERDAY'S LOSERS & SAMERS!!:cheer2: :cheer2:
GAINERS...DON'T GIVE UP!!! Keep moving!!!

Colon Flow is a pro-biotics formula (friendly bacteria).
The answer=once. I have a fear/dislike of going in any public restroom. No can do. GOOD NEWS: Dannon Activa yogurt uses the same macrobiotics for regularity. Pick some up at the store. Lynda eats it almost everyday...I always see it on her list. LYNDA??? How many times per day??? If we're not being too personal?
so I greased up my insides, we'll be sliding an extra one soon!!:hippie: :scared1:
Good to know you're not harboring any toxins, Sandy!:rotfl: Good luck with that grease. ;) TAG FAIRY????
UM, do you like my siggie? I made it today at work! Yep, it was a very productive day. :rotfl:
Your new siggie explains it all! It's code...like a license plate. I'm a little slow. Love it!
Thanks in advance for your response![/COLOR]
:welcome: DISNEYDAWN!!! Nice to meet you. Pull up a comfy chair and make yourself at home. Left you a long rambling post on your report. ;)
They were fighting over the buggy (cart), and ran into DH's heel.
I'm sure everyone in the store heard him holler!
Love your "buggy" and "holler" quotes. I'm from a small town and always used those. Sadly nobody here used those words so haven't heard them in a while. (have lived here 25 years.)Also "yonder" is one of my favorites. ;) Would love to hear you say it with the Carolina accent which I adore.

HAVE A HAPPY SATURDAY! I'm off to sign up for t-ball and watch a middle school dance competition!!

Took DD to Dr. yesterday and she has severe bronchitus--guess she won't be going to soccer today.

Last night I had to go to a rehearsal dinner for my BF's wedding. I was not good--there was chicken (of course what else) but it was stuffed with crab meat. It was oh my yummy! I did get in 80 oz. of water yesterday and only had oatmeal for breakfast and lunch. Off to drink my fist 20, get little man up before he wakes everybody up and then it is off to teach Saturday school to the ones who either have missed to many days or are just a royal pain in the bum and spend all their time in the office. This is what I am dong to help pay for Disney in March.

Have a good day !!

OK....been checkin on the "cleansing" products mentioned earlier. It's big business! Didn't know there were so many products out there!?! Here are some links....

DANNON ACTIVIA YOGURT....probiotic formula to naturally move things along.

Health News Journal review of the many products on the market to "cleanse" your system.

Hope this helps. I think a daily combo dose of Fiber One/All Bran AND Activia would do the same thing. IMHO.

IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN TO HUNGRY GIRL....GO NOW! It's a peeps dream site!

Lex thanks so much for your research! I am thinking that I maybe suffering from some of these problems from the descriptions that I have read...I mean even if I have been not so good on my diet, my exercise has increased tremendously so why am I not seeing any more results? I go only once some days and more on others, that may be tmi. (being watchful of the tag fairy here) I felt like it was the fiber causing problems, and it maybe the fiber is just stuck behind other goop. The Puranol is what I'm thinking of trying...anyone know anything about this product?

Amy.....I think it's just me and you (and pigget?)....nobody else up this early on Saturday.....

If I were you I'd try the Activia every day for two weeks before you buy the cleansing stuff. Natural products are always the best solution but desperate times call for desperate measures. If the probiotics and fiber don't work in 2 weeks time, it may be time to move on to the OTC products.

So far: 37 and a 1/2 ish, give or take a tenth of a pound!!!

Wow way to go everyone, hopefully I can start adding a few pounds to that total. :thumbsup2

Posh....made me think of the spice girls!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
I look just as skinny as her too. :rotfl2:

Speaking of Posh Spice - Did you guys see the new YOAMD pics by Annie Leibovitz??? Posh's hubby David Beckham is lookin' mighty fine as Prince Phillip! ;)
He may be cute but have you guys heard him speak yet? The DD's rabbits are more intelligent. :rotfl2:

Thanks to those of you who have sent well wishes and prayers, I wanted to give you an update. Well, this young man gave up his fight today. He passed away this afternoon. This is so sad. :sad1: Please continue to remember this family. They need lots of prayers to deal with this. Plus they have quite a load of medical expenses and other expenses with traveling to where this young man has been in the hospital.
Sending lots of prayers to your friend and family.

Oh taaaaaag faaaaairyyy!!!! :goodvibes

AAAAAaaaack!!! :faint: Let's stick with Elvis has left the building... :rolleyes1

Thanks to everyone for the positive comments about my loss. :yay: I was excited because I had actually "felt" heavy on weigh-in day. Plus, over a three week period, my loss sped up instead of slowing down. Not expecting so much this next time... expecting 2, hoping for 4.

And thanks to everyone for the belly exercises (and for grossing out DD19) with all the colon blow info!:scared1: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Oh... and I had my dad email me some pix from Christmas. Oh... my... gosh! DD says there is a definite difference already... 'specially in my face and hands.

Night all! Skinny dreams! :dance3:

Dene, just thought this BEARS repeating!! Slow and steady does win the ultimate race - but those rewards come in time to strengthen your resolve - KEEP Posting for us too!!

Ah, the moments after bedtime! My boys had to go to bed early tonight because they showed their tails at BJ's. They were fighting over the buggy (cart), and ran into DH's heel. You know those carts at warehouse clubs aren't those sissy little ones either!

First, I have so forgotten what that's like, DD just doesnt sleep!! Its all I can do to stay awake until she falls into dreamland (last night around 11:30) Yes, we've tried everything, but we stick with the same routine 7 days a week!! Esp the Nanny one, where you put her to bed w/o taking or eye contact... lately its "SHE puts herself to bed" or she can just stand there... until she decides she'll sleep in our room... on the floor, in the chair, then we get up and walk her back to her room!! and she is up by 7AM!!!

MORNING PEEPS!! Where is Aries? I'm missing my motivator!! Do your livers a favor - 8oz warm water 1 T of lemon juice (fresh is best! 1/4 lemon) it will also help flush your system, and help you in stopping water retention!! Lemon juice and warm water is best!! Try it today if you can be near a potty!!

Good Morning all and welcome to the weekend!!! Dawn - very glad you found this crazy thread!! Bee is a very neat and inspiring lady too!!!

OK hers my pooh story: ever since I was very young this has been problematci for me. My Dad gotta love em, addressed this as the self appointed family physician. I hate to eat every am my prunes with my cereal. I rather call them PMS raisins they just retain water! I always fiber one or raisin bran with fruit on top. NO bananas but strawberries or any other fruit laying about the house. Fruit was a big must!

I noramlly when eatting healthy avoid lots of proceesed food the chemcials and presertaives kill my stomach. Starches are easy for my system to break down but that comes at a high price. Fat!!

IF you struggle with Pooh and wnat to bounce like Tigger if you can avoid processed foods and preseratives. Lots of water fruit and veggies help keep thiings moving bouncable.

I also had to take every morning fish oil yup off the spoon a heaping tablespoon. ICK!! Good oils help too. Now thankfully it comes in a capsule!!!OK off to do! HEres a warning I'' be back later!!!

Just talked with my cousin/sister - and she's also struggling with weight issues, I read her UTM TMI post!! (*grin!) and told her about the ... pooh: muffins, and of course I've never saved the recipe... :rolleyes1

Has anyone copied and pasted it into a word document, or can repaste it for me??? :worship: please? With splenda on top???

Melinda-
Thanks for the info! I have been looking at that Activia yogurt on the Wal-Mart shelves for weeks, but have never bought it. I guess I'll give it a try now. :thumbsup2

:rainbow: Have a great weekend Peeps! :rainbow:

Hi - I am a newer member who is recently finding herself typing away! This is a blessing for me to find so many caring, considerate people and I just feel blessed. I am wanting to lose 100 pounds over the next year or so but 2 specific goals in particular.

#1 Lose 50 pounds before June 1 :thumbsup2

#2 Lose another 40 before our trip in Dec. :thumbsup2

I have stuggled fighting the munchie monster and have started establishing major changes. Mostly will follow the WW plan but will limit all my carbs to whole grain carbs. I need your support and guidance! I need to do this for my health and my sanity.

My last request is in part do to an awesome woman known to you as Bee! :wizard:

She told me about you all and suggested I find support through this site for my other dillema she read on another post.

Please know I have a site posted on the Disney Trip Reports site under Upcomming Trips. ( It's a sub-thread on the top of the trip report page ) It is titled "Miracle on Main Street" and is on the 1st page.
I won't bore you with the details but you will laugh and maybe even cry. It is self-explanatory why I need your help...it will only take a moment but it means the world to me.:grouphug:

Thanks in advance for your response!

Welcome! We're here for you! Isn't Bee awesome?!?!?!?! I'll read your pretrippy today!

:welcome: DizneyDawn! We are a fun group to hang out with!

Way to go, Dene! You are the biggest loser!

Leaving in a few to take DD to the Dr. will check back in after dinner.

Sorry your DD is sick! My DS had bronchitis pretty bad before we left.

I am sooo dense.. I just got the so r u l8 2? Man I am SLOW!!!!
Well, then I am really dense! I did not get it until I read what you wrote!!!:rotfl:

I'm not going to post a loss for the week since I'm still up 2 lbs my pre-WDW weigh in. Sadly that's 4 lbs more than my lowest weight this month. I gained 11 lbs while we were gone so losing 7 isn't bad. Like I said, wish i could count the total lost, not the fact that I regained and lost it again. (Breakdown: 180-181 starting weight, last PEEPS weigh in: 175.5, lowest weight this month: 173.4, weight 24 hrs before WDW: 174.4, post WDW weight: 184, today's weight: 177.4)
That's why I gained 11 lbs. I was talking to my sister last night and she gained about 5 but she didn't have the same problem I had. I brought my food home with me!! I'm a bit scared of the Tag Fairy otherwise I'd post more of our conversation. She was in stitches so it was quite funny.

I have problems when I travel. That is probably why I gained 5 pounds at Disney.

Sorry I have been offline. After lunch, I got really sick. Migraine, hip pain, nausea, vomiting! I feel better today - but not great. Trying to pull it together for youth service tonight. Keep praying!

Can I come out and play? I started reading this thread and actually got all the way to page 72, but I've just got to join! I need all the help I can get! I need to lose 25 pounds before our trip on June 8. (10 days long, yeah baby!) I need accountability. I'm surrounded by people (mostly at work) who are constantly tempting me. (Doesn't help that I work in a bookstore with a coffee and sweet shop.) Here is my plan:
1) 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes at night on the treadmill (Love the treadmill, no problems with this, just finding Childfree time.)
2) 5-6 small meals a day
3) Try to add more veggies
4) No eating after 7PM (this is the killer. It's almost as if after the kids are in bed, I have to eat!!)
5) Stick to the plan on weekends. (Killer again! I've already missed up today with an extra muffin my son didn't want.(Fatfree but nevertheless...) Why couldn't I throw it away?)
I need to plan.
I need to focus.
I need encouragement.
If you guys can give me that, I know I can give it right back! Can I be a Peep? Please, oh please.
~Lynn~
