Disappearing flight?

We will be @ SSR in August.-Leaving out of EWR(Newark). I have been following airfare prices for awhile now and was leaning towards a 9a flight out. I checked out the websites today and now find out that the flight has disappeared from all the usual sites-including Continentals!
What gives? Is it possible that it is full already or do they take it off for a while and then put it back? I've been holding off buying hoping that prices will drop later on in the season(Got $200 seats last Aug) but now am going crazy

They've probably re-done the schedule so it's perhaps a good thing you had not counted on that flt. time!

UPDATE!!
I just checked Continental's website now and the 9A flight is back on their choices!! I guess this morning's omission was a glitch in their website I think I'd better book now before it disappears again!!

This is common. flight schedules change.

One time I reconfirmed a flight back. My habit is to show up 1-2 hours before flight. This time I looked at the departure board and discovered the flight was rescheduled to depart an hour early. I was able to catch it.

Be careful with Continental. I booked a 9:15 am flight with Continental 6 months in advance. All of a sudden, flights started disappearing from their website. Turns out they were not full, but eliminated. I ended up with an 11:55am flight which due to mechanical problems ended up cancelled at the last minute, leaving all passengers stranded as that was the only Continental flight out of our city that day. Ended up being switched to America West after many frustrating hours at the airport. Also, if your flights changes after booking, keep checking with the airline. Continental NEVER informed us of schedule changes even after signing up with their trip alert service.

Flight schedules WILL CHANGE over the next 8 months. Sometimes by minutes, sometimes by hours. flight come and go from the schedule based on many external factors. If you book this far in advance do not be upset or rant if this happens. If the flight times change significantly you can ask for a refund and may book on another carrier.
