Hello!

Venturing to the World with my mom and grandma. Grandma is not fully disabled but, has mobility issues so she will be in a wheelchair and will transfer to some but not all rides. My question, there are a few rides she can not go on. (Thunder, Space Mountain..etc)

For those can we do a rider swap where one of us rides, another waits with grandma and then we swap?

I know Thunder has a waiting area inside where I have seen those in Wheelchairs waiting for the riders to hop off but, not too sure if grandma is willing to wait alone.

thank you.

First, Rider Swap is only available at attractions with a height restriction. But those may well be the rides grandma won't do. I just wanted to mention because it's not available at all attractions.

Unfortunately, it has been hit-or-miss whether CMs allow for Rider Swap to be used if the non-rider is tall-enough-but-choose-not-to-ride.

I'm not sure how many are in your party. If there are at least 4 who will ride, I'd suggest FP+ for those riders and do your own swapping (2+2). If it's just you and mom with grandma, you'd each be riding alone anyway so again I'd suggest FP+. That way you are sure someone can wait with grandma without depending on CMs allowing a Rider Swap.

Enjoy your vacation!

Unless Grandma needs constant care she probably would enjoy sitting in the shade watching the crowd.
