I just wanted to say, the amount of support whether you were running, walking and or cheering was outstanding! What I saw out there on the course yesterday was absolutely phenominal. You guys are such a true inspiration and support.

To see you everyone running, walking and my gosh the cheering us on, just made me dig deeper! I felt very proud and it truly made me smile even when it hurt the worst!

As I was running I was reading the back of WISHer running shirts and got inspired all over again. I was boasting inside saying to myself....That's one of us.

Most of you dont know me but I've been around for quite sometime. My work and personal schedule keeps me from truly being here to post often as I would like. However I just wanted to stop by and say that you guys rock and GREAT job everyone!!!!

Kim

Kim, I just want to say that you are awesome! You were willing and able to complete a trek that I can't even imagine. I know what you mean about the WISHers being motivating out on the course. I had the same thing during the Half. But I can't imagine the rigors of 26.2 miles on your feet walking or running. (I saw one guy who had crutches but was still going. That actually brought a tear to my eye.)

You may not get to post as much as you would like because of life. That's ok. You are still a WISHer. You are apart of our family.

Keep Rockin'!
Bryan

I agree! WISHers are the greatest!

The support was fantastic! I thank everyone for all the encouraging things that were said and done as I trudged along the course.

I did not have a very "pretty" event, but the WISHers made it a wonderful thing to belong to.

Thank you to ALL the WISHers for any support you have been able to give; if you were left behind this event thank you for your thoughts from home. It all worked!

Kim!!! I was looking for you during the full, too...sorry that I didn't get to connect. I had on the WISH shirt and the red, white, and blue hat!!

Bryan, it was great to meet you Friday!! Keep up the good work!! :goodvibes Anne

Team support, that's what each and every one of us is here for. :thumbsup2

Thank you for the support through the half and full marathon. Although I wasn't wearing WISH gear....a lot of the WISHERS recognized me from the disneyland half and were cheering me on! THANK YOU FOR THE SUPPORT ESPECIALLY PAST HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS. :cheer2:

I now have a hat and visor...so you guys can recognize me. Thanks Tracy for having an extra hat at the meet!

Hope to see everyon at Disneyland this year or in 2010!

Did you all know that Matt arrived home from active duty just before driving down to WDW with his wife Cheryl?

What I learned was he arrived home, unpacked his bags, and repacked them, then they hit the road and drove to WDW.

He was out there cheering everyone on Saturday at the first overpass, and then at the last overpass. You couldn't miss him in his Mickey Sorcerer light hat, and Mickey gloves, oh and his WISH shirt.

It was a last minute decision to run the marathon as a training run. He's doing the Houston Marathon this upcoming weekend.

His plan was to run his regular pace for 8 miles, then stop, and go back to help other WISHers along the way. From what I read, he helped and inspired a lot of people during the race.

He finished the race just before the cut-off, making sure he got his medal.

So, three cheers for ThunderMatt and Cheryl. You both went beyond the call of duty.

Have a great race on Sunday Matt, we're all cheering for you buddy :cheer2:.

First of all, Welcome Home, Matt! Thanks for your service!!!! I've been to the sandbox myself and know what sacrifices you make!

Second, I ran for a charity, Team ASK, and was wearing their colors and not WISH colors but every time I passed a WISHer or was passed by a WISHer (which was more frequent), I would yell something like go WISH team. Same thing for people on the sides that were cheering. I can tell you all, THANKS for the support; y'all were wonderful. What a great team to be a part of.

I couldn't agree more. This was my first year doing the Goofy & every WISHer that I met was so supportive, gracious and encouraging. It was great to finally put faces with names as well as reconnect with a few folks that I met last year. I consider myself very lucky to have become a part of such a great group of people.

THANK YOU!!! :goodvibes
