Well I specialize in medical claims payments. Basically my job is to get the insurance carrier to pay the claims that fall into the gray area of the policies.

Don't they ALL fall into the gray areas? That is one thing that is good about auto claims over health. Decisions are based on the laws of the state where the accident happened. Not a lot of gray there, thank goodness!

I can find the gray area... only lawyers and painters can change black to white

I write my share of those "letters" from your "doctor"...

I'm sure the DIS unplugged Healthcare dosn't come cheap. I can help them afford the care as an Insurance agent.

No...I was wrong...it is your job that I tangle with most of the day. Since most of our stuff seems to fall in the gray area!




I am a CPC - (Certified Professional Coder) - and I know I am not the only one on the DIS...are there any more of us out there?!?

I fight with insurance companies all day to get our patients cancer medications covered. Especially the new oral chemo drugs that are coming out. Most of our patients need help paying for these new drugs. And a few insurance companies even need a little encouragement to pay for the old drugs, too.

I'm an OB nurse. My dad is always calling for healthcare advice. He tells me he has a medical question. I pause and say, "Are you pregnant?"

I'm a DVS: Director of Volunteer Services for a local hospital. I'll make sure that all the flowers, candy, and mail get delivered and we'll wheel you out in a wheelchair when the podcast is over! Maybe I can even get the baby cap knitters to crochet a pair of mouse ears.
