Hi all, Kaylee contacted me last week with regard to my Weight Watchers thread that I started a coupleof weeks ago, she asked me if I would like to start a thread each week for UK DIS members to tell us their weight loss for the week, exercise and how it has affected you and all other health related issues.

I will start the thread each week, probably on Mondays but maybe Tuesdays!

Ok then, I will go first, I have lost a few pounds in the last few weeks but it is DHs birthday today and we went away for the weekend  and I think I may have put it all back on now  oh well I will start all over again this week!:teeth:

come ón everyone lets get healthy!!!!:yo-yo:

Great thread.

I hope you enjoyed your weekend :) I believe that you need to enjoy yourself, otherwise whats the point!

Well I am doing Slimming World on a Wednesday, so from now on I will post then. I have lost 13lb's so far with it...slowly but surely;) My friend that I go with has lost 4 stone!! in the same time frame, she is a lot heavier though so I try not to get to disappointed;)

Come on everyone join in and lets support each other :)

My DH and I are both doing WW. I have lost 13.5lbs in the last 6 weeks and hope to lose another 5.5lbs before we fly out to the mouse in 4 weeks time. That will see me make my 10% goal. I know that I will put some on while on holiday but I am going to be sensible without being "on a diet" whilst over there.

Health wise I feel less out of breath and more energetic.

Glad to see I am not the only Diser on a diet! DH has also lost just over a stone so we are motivating each other but I am surprised how easy the points diet is to follow.

Regards
Mel

Melcatfish, don't worry about it too much while you are away, I found that I didn't put anything on the last time that I was there, mainly because of the amount of walking that we were doing round the parks etc. And trust me I eat like a pig when I am in Orlando! Well you would feel weird if you didn't join in with the local customs! LOL:crazy:

I'm doing the WW program. Not going to a meeting just doing it on my own. Have done that in the past and I find that I stick to it for a while and then stop it. Haven't weighed myself either because again I find if I've lost weight then I am really chuffed but if I don't then I am more likely to cheat. I figure if I don't know either way then I will carry on.

Last week I was really good and even went to the gym. This week has started off well too. Trying not to think of it as a diet but a healthier lifestyle.

Well..........I started Atkins about a month agao (didn't we shell ??)

Didn't manage too well on that so decided to change to WW method...

Also we have now joined the local gym and perform the grueling task on the various pieces of equipment that these size 6 - 8 youngsters recommend, followed by 25 lengths in the rather chilly pool.

Well done to florry and DH you may well say

However,

I have lost the grand total of.......

:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

0lbs and 0oz.

How good is that ??

I've had Kelloggs sepcial K for breaky
Rivitas for lunch followed by a narna
A necturine and some grapes munched whilst sitting on the M1 on my way home from work.
and a sensible dinner, tonigh was Salmon with new pots and veg.

So I'm not exactly being over indulgent or am I ?
:teeth:

Never mind, you are what you are I suppose :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

LOL

Well I lost a 1lb this week - just the one so that is one stone I have lost whilst doing Slimming World :)

Florry - don't be too upset, maybe you will loose more next week.

Minniespal - keep up the good work with the exercise.

Mel - You are doing so well, keep up the good work

Well done Kaylee

I've just had my hair cut so I might be lucky when I get on the scales LOL:crazy:

I told her to cut off extra this time !!!

I might have lost a bit now :teeth:

ha ha!

Tips:

1. always wear the same clothes to get weighed (not jeans they can add up to 3lbs!)
2. take off as much as you can, this includes mobile phone out of pockets, earrings (some can be heavy think how much Pat Butcher must weigh!!) and other paraphenalia that we tend to drape ourselves in daily - as my Jamican neighbour would say "Remove da Bling Maaaan!"
:teeth:
3. I try to lay off carbs and most food after about 1pm on weigh in day. my weigh in is at 6.30 and I usually just about make it till then!
4. Have alittle of what you fancy! As long as you can count it you can have it!::yes::
5. Relax - easy to say I know but the more you worry the less likely you are to lose weight, there are loads of factors as to why sometimes we don't - so chill out and just think oh well by this time next week I will be a size 10! ha ha

Have fun!
