Been having a few problems accessing some of the dis boards while using the aol browser, but seems to be alright with IE, since sunday.

Anyone else had any problems ?

David

Yes me too. I'm ok on IE though.
Its not just this site either.

No Problems, here.

Although when the boards get extremely busy, during the peak times, I usually switch from AOL to IE.

What is it with AOL's browser?

Stu on DIBB told me it was to do with most Message Boards using some new 'language/protocols' (not the right term but was summat techy) and AOL just don't comply or have the right kit to cope, He suggested I use the IE route and I've been happy on both boards since after weeks of frustration.

:( Yep, we've not been on for a few days now because it's not working right thru AOL, but through IE ok too, so using this now.
What a pain AOL is . . . been recommended to change to Tescos!

Annie, I've been waiting for some feedback on Tesco - the new Anytime as we already have one of the old type accounts....... was the recommendation from any Anytime user?

Thought it was just me having problems as AOL is so slow these days!! Roll on broadband for our area or we may consider changing provider if it doesn't improve soon.

Well, it's good to know it's not just me!! I've been having real problems accessing the Dis through AOL since last week, what a pain, can't even get the web page up let along do anything else!!

I'm running it through IE now too, but AOL have been horrendous recently even though I've now upgraded to AOL 7.0 on my laptop.

Seriously considering Broadband here too!!

Hi Shirley - my IT college tutor recommended either BT Openworld, Freeserve or Tescos. She said in her opinion for non-broadband Tesco's was the best . . . must admit I didn't particularly want something like "annieo@tesco" for my professional stuff ;), but if it works well, it's certainly cheaper than AOL then we'll give it a go. Just got to summon up the energy to write to everyone to give them a new email address when we get it on board.

I'll let you know when we change:)
