Dis snobs. What kind are you?

I have to admit that I am one of the "buy your infant a seat on the airplane" snobs.
I think I also fit in one of the stroller sub-categories - side by side -vs- tandem double strollers- I am a side by side double stroller snob. :rotfl:

I'm sure I'm a snob of something, just not sure what kind of snob I am yet...let me think about it! :snooty:

I haven't read the other replies yet, but I am most definitely a health and safety snob about kids. I expect no less than than 100% effort in this area! I don't mean perfection, but let's at least shoot for something other than the bare minimum! Other than that, I don't care what you do as long as it doesn't directly affect me, and you don't want me to validate the (questionable) decisions you've made. If you ask, I'll tell you what I think. I'm not a snob about material things at all, but honesty and integrity, while it's not 'snobby' to value them, are extremely important and say a lot about a person.

I think I belong to that one myself!

ChrisnSteph, I think that is a big one. Not only WDW/DL Cal and DLP but the biggie, Universal Studios and IOA, WDW snobs. (and Sea World too.)

Even the whole WDW is not just a theme park, snobs. (Verses the whole why would you go to WDW for your vacation every year).

I think I knew where most of us belong on those, but not all! :goodvibes

Great thread, OP! :rotfl:

How about Walmart snobs? Not me, though. I'm there so much I should be on the payroll! Oh, and don't forget the school vs. family vacation snobs.

I know you have the good deal snob listed, but does that include the "taking advantage of a pricing error is stealing" snob? While I'm waiting for clarification, I'm going to go wrap the two 19" Disney TVs my kids are getting for Christmas (thanks, Sears).

Geez, if I didn't know better I'd think that you were a troll!!! :rotfl2:

Hey now!!!!!! :rotfl:

Does that mean I have arived too? ;)

I love this thread and I think you are right! For me, at least.

I have another one for you though, having been the victim of this type of snob--the "Public school is good enough for everyone, all schools are fabulous and you are insane to think you need to send your kid to private school/homeschool them"

I definitely fit into several snob catagories--the airplane ticket thing I feel pretty strongly about though I don't think I am a snob about it as I figure, I don't know these people and can't really change their lives. I am a reverse onsite person as I would much rather pay less to stay offsite.

I am also a charter member of the deal with your bratty kid snob group, but i have to say that my eyes have been opened by people on this board that I may not know the whole story. However, most of the ones that annoy me are the parents who are trying to reason with and cajole their bratty kids into not being brats instead of just handing out some consequences or not putting the child into the situation in the first place. (Like making hot hungry children stand in line for one more ride. Just have some lunch people!!)

My biggest snob category, doesn't really come about on the boards--it is in real life. Basically, if you don't know where you are going, stay the heck out of my way. This especially applies in the theme parks!

I can definitely be a grammar snob, but I try not to call people out on it too much.

I'm also somewhat of a value resort snob. I've stayed in values and deluxes equally as much, but whenever I catch the faintest whiff of "value resort guests are lower class" I have to jump in and defend.

I'm an adult-without-kids snob sometimes, too, because I don't think being a kid or having a kid entitles anyone to having any more fun at WDW than people without. ;)

Finally, I'm a teacher snob. Any thread attacking teachers, I'll jump right in to our defense!

*On-site snob
*Monorail resort snob (really DH)
*Put a decent amount of clothes on at WDW snob
*Take a bath after being in 101 degree weather snob
*Don't pick WDW as a vacation and then complain about the cost snob
*Spread the magic snob
*Give Handicapped folks a break snob
*Get your screaming kid out of here snob
* Move all the way to the end of the row snob!

You're just asking for trouble, aren't you??? :rotfl2:

I'm pretty much a rule follower snob, but I do live and let live where that's concerned.

I'm kind of a bratty kid snob -- when it comes to parents who won't remove a disruptive child from a public place. I didn't pay $30 for a babysitter for MY kids just to have to put up with your kid screaming in my ear while I'm having a nice dinner out with my DH. At that point, I could have saved myself the money and brought mine along for entertainment.

Guilty

I will admit to the USO vs WDW snob. And the subcategory of I will take Universal's FOTL anyday over WDW's Fast Pass. (How's that for stirring things up on a Disney board :sunny: )

I am also a member of the Don't Cut in Line In Front of Me snob association. Especially on a hot, muggy day where I have stood in line for a lengthy time.

And more significantly, as I get older and crankier, my membership in the "What Ever Were You Thinking" snob association has been upgraded to Platinum Plus. This club has a broad definition - including screaming babies in late night shows, very little and impressionable children at Halloween Horror Nights, parents who let their young girls run around in Hooter shirts, and anything else one could sigh, roll their eyes and shake their head at. (In order to be platinum plus membership, you must master doing the sigh, eye roll and head shake simultaneously.)

I'm a member of the following snob categories:

On-site snob (resorts and restaurants)
Deluxe Hotel snob
Food snob (in general not just at Disney)
Please put sunscreen on your children snob
Please don't bring an infant to WDW in August and stay outside all day snob
Hair product/Make-up snob
Please don't force me to the end of the row when the theater is 1/2 full snob
Please stop running and just enjoy your day snob

Boy, this is really liberating!

I feel soooooooo left out !!!!

what about the how can I enjoy anything Disney, especially WDW, because I am a Pagan/Wiccan/Witch ????????????? did you forget me already? :guilty:

oh and for that matter how about, my religion is better then yours and you are all going to well you know where snobs,

You just gotta love :lovestruc those snobs....

I fit into several of those plus one that sorta fits:

I must be in every exchange snob :teeth:
