Yes. They got the zoning changes they wanted almost a year ago, but haven't announced any actual plans. In fact, I just noticed that the Disneyland Forward website has disappeared. The URL https://www.disneylandforward.com/ now forwards to a single page on a website of the Disney Experiences division:

When idiot Chapek decided that it was a good idea to gut the Imagineering staff several years ago, do we now have a situation where we don't have the qualified staff that knows how to design and build stuff?

Still, I bet Bob Iger was betting on Snow White succeeding, and it flopping is gonna tarnish him. I hope this will cause him to leave Disney earlier than planned. Creativity must shine again at Disney! Enough is enough with the cash-grabs and capitalism!

I’m no fan of Chapek, but Iger was still in control of Disney for almost all of Chapek’s time as CEO. The more stuff that comes out it looks most likely that Iger used Chapek to be the fall guy.

Iger has spent over $100 billion on buying IP and Disney stock is worth less today than 10 years ago. How the board of directors have failed at their job of not getting rid of her is amazing.

Theaters going to be hoping and praying the Summer of Stitch, Dinosaurs and Dragons can provide a boost to things prior to James Cameron saving everything in December.

Yeah, Encanto kind of caught late. I've said it a million times, people clamour for original works, but then they don't go see them. Sequels and remakes have a much better shot at making money for Disney.

But my point is that people weren't (couldn't have been) familiar with those IPs until Inside Out and Moana were first created. How does that square with your statement that "people clamour for original works, but then they don't go see them"? Disney wouldn't have made sequels if the originals had bombed.
