Dis SCOTTISH meet - When, Where & Who *** POSTPONED ***

Hiya,

As per Reid's excellent idea for a Scottish meet I thought i'd take Tony's idea and start a seperate thread.

I want to come, once i'm in Leeds i'm practically equal distance to everywhere anyway and I am not put off by travelling a bit.

Obviously anyone nearer will have a better idea of a venue so that will need to be decided by people who know the area, once the location has been decided upon.

For starters.......Who's coming? and when shall we go?

Ideally Aberdeen is a better option for me unless it fits around a family trip to Glasgow; which would be probably be about Easter hols

Easter is fine with me but Aberdeen is too far for me to travel, it took 5 hours & 2 trains last time! Glasgow a fair way but easier.

Easter is fine with me but Aberdeen is too far for me to travel, it took 5 hours & 2 trains last time! Glasgow a fair way but easier.

I know the feeling we are 3 1/2 hours from Glasgow if I get a direct train otherwise I'm close to the 5 hours too

Sounds like we have half a plan, Glasgow is about half way between me & Reid (and 'Nr' Cath ) and Easter looks like a front runner for a date

I would certainly be up for a meet. Either Glasgow or Edinburgh is fine for me. I can't make Easter though cause I will be in Florida

I would love to come to a Dis meet, but don't know whether I could manage a Scottish one. Would be a nice weekend though maybe I'll have a think about it....

I'm not 100% this is going to work out this time.......

Reid, Cath & myself are all up for Glasgow at Easter but what I seem to have failed to specify is that I can only make Easter weekend due to work, not any time during the 2 week break. Is Sat 7th April out of the question? due to family commitments and train/hotel price hikes?

If not then lets get organising!

The honest answer is I don't know. DP and SIL have still not finalised plans for whether we'll be going down to Glasgow or whether they are coming up

I agree about price hikes Jodie. I'm going to Glasgow on business and the 2nd class rail fare is £60
