Trying to get into glimmer mist too, but not very good at evenly applying it? Bigger blobs end up in certain spots!

When I was doing a demo with glimmer mist at the scrapbook expo last year they said it was normal to get blobs- it is a part of using it. You can get it smooth with lots of practice but it isn't necessary according to their sales department.

Glimmer mist gives the paper a sheen or gloss - or overlay of color - it can also tone down a color that's a little too strong for the photos. My cousin's wedding attendents were emerald green - I found the right color paper, but it was overpowering. A spritz of glimmer mist and it retreated to the background, where it belonged! Or you can do fancy things with it, but I haven't yet.

It makes it sparkley- it can change some colors of the paper depending on what color the paper is and what color the mist is- if you use enough you can do some different things with it. I would have to look at the tags at home to be more specific. It can make for a reaaly neat background when you glimmer in a color that contrasts with the paper and have a background stencil down.

Depending on the color you use, it actually leaves a shimmery shine. Or if you blob it like me, you end up with blobs of shimmery spots It more subtle than glimmer, but still adds a little something. I looks pretty neat, pearl is my favorite.

Here is our first timed challenge- you can make anything you would like- a card, a page, an altered item, anything you want- even a swap item.

Use each of the following:

1- chalk or ink
2- a decorated shape
3- at least 3 papers

finish the challenge by 10pm- post your piece by 10:30pm

They are in a 55+ community. 20 feet out their back door is the canal where his boat is tied up. He said the canal takes him to 15 lakes. They are really excited to be actual snow birds now.
