Hello!

A HUGE thank you to this entire forum! I've learned so much in my short time here!

We're planning our first Disney World trip in August and I need some help.

I've got 2 little ones (DD8, DS6) who love Disney, but aren't hard core character lovers.

I still think they would get a kick out of doing a few character meals though.

From what I've read, I think that I'd like to get LATE breakfast or LATE lunch reservations wherever we go. SO this brings me to my questions:

1) are there character LUNCH meals? So far I've only seen breakfast and dinner.

2) can I plan on doing a character meal in each of the 4 parks? Or are they only in certain parks/resorts?

3) which ones would maximize our character per meal experience?

They've seen ALL the movies - so I know they'd get a kick out of seeing "lesser" characters as well as the "big ones".

ANY help/advice/guidance would be SO appreciated!

Thank you!!!

you can do lunch at Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom with Pooh and Friends

Princess Storybook Dining at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall Princess lunch. Comes with a picture.

and

Wonderland Tea Party lunch at Grand Floridia -The tea party is just for the kids, so you could go grab an adult lunch at the Grand Floridin Cafe!

You can see Mickey and the gang at both Garden Grill in Epcot (D) or at Chef Mickey's (B or D) in the Contemporary.

Only character meal at Hollywood Studios is Hollywood and Vine (B,L) but it is with playhouse disney characters like Little Einsteins. They would probably have more fun at the Sci Fi Dinner or 50's prime time cafe.

Only one character meal at Animal Kingdom too and that is breakfast.

Lunch character options are
Crystal palace - pooh and friends - MK
Cinderells's royal table - MK
Princess storybook at akershus - Epcot
Playhouse Disney at Hollywood and Vine - HS

Make sure you schedule meals in the park or near the park you are planning to spend the day so you don't waste a lot of time on transportation.

Does that help? Ask more if it doesn't.

The character breakfast in the Animal Kingdom is really fun. My DD8 and DS4 are a little older and also REALLY enjoyed the character breakfast at the Polynesian Resort with Lilo and Stitch. Mickey, Goofy and Donald were also there although I think that the characters can vary at any meal at any time...If its princesses you want, I suggest Akershus in EPCOT...Hollywood and Vine has the Playhouse Disney characters and is cute, but more for little ones...I agree with the PP who said that SciFi or 50s Primetime is a better bet. We have eaten at both and my kids LOVE 50s Primetime! Just one more suggestion...try the T-Rex Cafe in Downtown Disney and the Rainforest Cafe (they have one in the Animal Kingdom and one in Downtown Disney). Those are both lots of fun for older kids although unless something has changed, they are not included on the dining plan...Hope you guys have a blast and lots of good food!!
