DIS name tags

I know I've seen this mentioned somewhere before on another thread but does anyone know how to make a DIS nametag to wear at Disney? Are they a special shape or anything? Do you put your screen name, real name or both on it? And finally does anyone have a picture of one?

I don't know what others do, but I go to Home Depot, get some lime green mickey shaped paint samples, write my dis name on them, laminate them, punch a hole through them, and attatch to by belly bag, luggage,camera, hotel room door, etc.

I bought my DS6 one at MK Timepiece store. I bought there as they do the engraving. It took about 5 minutes to engrave. He got to pick out his own they have a few different ones. Sorry I dont remember the price. They come with a magnet back a hole to make them a luggage tag and the pin.

I think what fran99999 could be talking about is a guest of honour badge. I have one of those too. Actually, I got it before I knew about the dis, and it's not lime green. It's red and white. Lime green is the colour of DIS, and it's how we identify ourselves when we in Disney. But, perhaps fran99999 was able to purchase a lime green one. If so, I apologise for this post. I didn't know we could buy them in disney.

You can get Mickey shaped paint chips at Home Depot. The colors are Alien green and sonic boom. I found that if you dampen the back, you can easily tear around the Mickey. What I did was glue two of them back to back to see the green from both sides and then laminate them. Then you punch a hole in the top and can tie string, yarn, etc. or skip the hole punch and just tape it on your hotel room door/window. You can be as creative or basic as you want. I saw one on here that was so cute. It had tinkerbell and the persons DIS sn on it. Mine are just plain without anything written on it, but next time I go to Disney, I'm going to make more (mine are already worn out) and attach just plain laminated ones without anything written on it to all of our bags then attach another one, maybe I'll have my DIS sn on it to me. Hope this helps.

let me see if I can find a pic of what I did for our trip (Disney Cruise) last fall....

Okay...here is a pic...not the best of the pin/badge I made...but you can kind of see it. on DH as he's dancing with DD at the Sail-a-way party.

Then here is another image of the "logo" I put on the pin/badge.

I have a button maker...so I just cut out the image and created an actual button for each of us...I also made luggage tags for our bags....that looked similar to these.
Of course I put everyones "real" name on their badges along with my screen name...so eveyone could tell we were a group.

OHHHHH let me see if i understand!!

We can make name tags or t shirts with our screen name or DIS nick name and wear it, or put it all around our hotel, camper etc??
