Dis Mom's Club?

Good Afternoon!

We had a VERY early morning, since our time slot for the White House Easter Egg Roll was for 7:45... Left the house at 6AM! It was a great time and we even got to see Reese Witherspoon! My first celeb. sighting minus concerts. :rotfl: I do hope we get the chance to do it next year.

Very cool! I'm hoping to be one of the lucky ticketholders next year!

Well I went today and met with my advisor and registered for Fall semester. I was thinking 3 classes, kinda of working my way up from the 2 I have right now but my advisor thought different (She's also one of my instructors). So I walked out registered for 4 classes because, in her words she "wouldn't suggest it if she didn't think I could handle it"...No pressure right?!!:rotfl2:

Wow -- 4 classes! You are a brave woman!:goodvibes

Tonight a friend is coming over so we are going to make some t-shirts for Disney (for me) and one for her son's b-day party this weekend. I am using some DISigns and some that I made myself. I have to get going since our trip is just 6 weeks away!!

I want to do this for our trip - don't know if I will get organized enough to actually get it done though :)

We had a mellow day - after going all day yesterday it was nice to just be at home with the boys today. We have a mother's group to go to tomorrow and I have to get the boys up and dressed and out the door early - not looking forward to that. This is the first time I've lead a small group so I have to be there on time.

Good Morning!!:goodvibes:goodvibes

This morning was rough getting the kids out the door for school, it's always so hard to get back into the routine after any kind of break! I can't wait until summer!!

This morning my Intro to Law class has a field trip to the courthouse so that should be fun. Have a great day everyone!

Good morning!

Have fun at the courthouse!

About to get my 3 year old off to preschool and then back home for a few hours with my 2 year old and hoping he will cooperate and let me get some work done before I have to pick up his brother from school. It's hard working from home at times, but usually when it's just one of them it's easier since at least they aren't fighting over toys :lmao:

Sad to say that tomorrow I will get a break when I go to the office for the day, isn't it?

That sounds like a great field trip! I too am back in college. Going very slow as I only have 2 classes this semester. I learned early that 12 credits (4 classes) is not for me! I do almost everything online at this point. Then I can work during naptime or usually at night after everyone's in bed.

Have fun at the Courthouse!!

Hey Mom's.... I know you can all relate... Guess what I'm doing today????

:laundy: :laundy: and more :laundy:

DD3 woke me up last night with " my tummy feels ucky." Then threw up all over my bed. It continued for about 1/2 hour. This morning she said her uckies are gone. :cool1: "That Easter Bunny should not give me so much candy. It made my tummy throw up."

Oh well, at least it was only 1 and it was short-lived.

Have a great day Mom's!

Morning ladies - getting the boys ready to go to our mom's group. They are not happy being up early they are not morning boys.

Monkey is loving being up early enough to watch daddy play gold on Wii though. He keeps saying "woohoo" it is so cute he has a little hitch in his voice when he says it.

Are you going for Christmas? We are going to go the first full week in December. That way the decorations will be up but it won't be as busy. I love Christmas at Disney. My parents took my sister and me twice.

We have not decided if we are going the 1st or 2nd week! Depends on when DH can get off of work. I am sooo excited to see Disney at Christmas! When you went, did you find the crowds to be pretty good?

So we were late for the mother's group this morning but thankfully everyone in my small group was late too so it wasn't a big deal. :cool1: This was also the first time the boys walked right into childcare with out a backward glance at me they had a great time and when I came to pick them up didn't want to go. :cool1:

Anyone here been to WDW in late June? I am getting worried about taking the boys. They both have reactive airway disease (basically asthma but they are too young to be diagnosed with Asthma) anyway I understand that humidity can agrevate it. Also they will not yet be 2, and they can not tell me when they are having breathing issues so we don't know until they are having real difficulties in breathing. Also my DH had cancer and did chemo and radiation, and one of the after effects is that he has limited lung capacity. How bad is the humidity and are there ways to make it easier on them?

The courthouse trip was GREAT! Got to see the tail end of jury selection, they swore in witnesses as a group and then started opening arguments. We also got to see before we went into that courtroom a guy plead guilty to 2 counts of possession of crack cocaine with intent to sell. He sold to an undercover cop for $20! They are applying for probation but the judge could send him to jail for 5 years (there were 2 counts). I just kept thinking good grief, for $20?!!:scared1:

I'm just 2 classes this semester but hope I can hang in the Fall with the 4 classes. I have to go to class because I would be completely unmotivated if I took classes online. That's great that it works for you. :)

Hope your son has no more stomach issues, that candy can mess with you! :goodvibes

Isn't it great when that happens?! Glad they enjoyed themselves! I'm sure even if the other moms weren't late they would understand, having littles bring the unexpected and it's never easy to be on time. ;)

Good Evening, Girls!:flower3:

I just put in a DVC request for our trip in May! We're hoping to get Beach Club or Animal Kingdom. We've decided that we'll be there 5/23-30th, but we'll be in Florida 5/21-6/1, the non Disney days will be spent with family.

I must say I'm glad spring break is over. I swear my kids start complaining they are B-O-R-E-D the minute they get out of school for an extended break. :rotfl: But never want to do anything about it. :confused3 What happened to the times where you spent all day outside playing with your friends and came home to eat and then were gone again...

Well its off to finish the never ending :laundy: :sad1:

Have a great evening!

Good luck on your BC/AK choice. We stayed at both and love them each for their own merits.

I'm glad spring break is over too -- I need to get some work done!:lmao:

Just wanted to pop in and say hi. Long day for us here ~ I will update more in the morning. AND try to get through reading all the posts I have missed!

Hello Robyn! :wave2:

We are always happy to have another Disney nut in our group! :welcome:

I have a question, Ladies. I have about 10lbs still to lose to get to my "prebaby" weight... But even that was 10lbs heavier then the last time! :rolleyes1 So, how have you lost weight? (If you've ever needed to or wanted to). I do pretty good if I have "someone" to hold me accountable... So if you all don't mind I'm going to use you or this board as my "someone." :goodvibes

My goal is lose 15-20lbs. I'm going to start using the treadmill again and get the family to go on walks in the evenings since its finally nice out.

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Count me in as well!!! I just hit my 25 lb mark, but I have more to go so I would love to hear others tips. For me thus far it has really been changing my diet to something healthier and the treadmill!!! I'm with you tho the accountability is something that really drives me. One of my friends is doing this with me and it has helped soooooo much!:cool1:

Well ladies! I will be starting P90X on Monday with a friend. Hoping that will help me lose 10 lbs in 6 weeks for Disney! I think I can do that!!!

Like I said before, once I get on a kick, I'm pretty hard core!!! I just need that motivation back! :yay:
