DIS Meets

hi we are just wondering if Dis board meets are held on every cruise

We didn't have one on our recent cruise. There were only about 4 families that I knew of that were going from the DIS boards. But the cruise was almost full....16 passangers shy of full according to what we were told.

I didn't know there was an official DIS boards meet. I thought any one who knew about the boards just kinda planned to meet somewhere, sometime. I'm afraid I may have overstepped my bounds by trying to arrainge a meet on my own. Does anyone know if there are guidelines or rules about it? I hope I didn't come off as a "pushy broad" to the folks on the 7/3 Magic when I was trying to get a meet together.

Hey CarolJean- I am sure you have the right idea of just some people with the same interest getting together. That' swhat I always thought they were. You certainly did not come across as a "pushy broad" to me!!! Actually, I am being the pushy one here -I started an "Official" thread for our cruise. No way it is "official", just a way to have one thread for us to reply to!!

There are no official DIS meets organized by Disney on the Magic or Wonder. The meets are organized by the members here. It usually starts with a thread on the cruise meets board and then the members decide on a meeting time and place. We had one on the Wonder once that only 5 people showed up. We organized one one for the DVC Member Cruise that was a big success and attended once on our May '03 cruise that was also a big success. Meeting fellow DIS'ers is a great way to start the cruise and it is nice to see friendly faces in port and around the ship.
