Dis Meet in Akron, Ohio

I am trying to set up a Dis Meet in my area, but have no idea on how to do it? (I posted this question somewhere else on this board but I thought that I would ask here too). Can someone PLEASE help. How do I get started?

Well, I would suggest setting a date and time and see if anyone can come. I would be interested, I live on the west side of Cleveland.

RNMOM is right. Just pick a place (mall food courts are good - we've met at Summit Mall in the past for example), and a date and time and post the information here. I like to title DISmeet threads so that it's easy to tell when and where the meet is going to be held. I'll be there if at all possible (depending of course on when it is). The where is not to big an issue. I'm a sucker for DISmeets.

I want to set this Dis meet up but I myself have never been to a Dis meet, but I think that it would be so cool to meet other Disney lovers like myself. What do you do while you are there? Swap stories about Disney? Trade pins? What? Does anyone have any input on this?? What have you done at other Dis meets?

In the past we were able to hold meets at malls with Disney stores. I don't honestly know which Disney stores still exist in NE Ohio. Some people bring scrapbooks or photo albums. Pin trading hasn't really been big at the meets I have visited. Mostly we just reminisce about trips to Disney and share our excitement about all things Disney.
