DIS Meet Dec 8 07

:cloud9: We are all At Sea today. I'm in the Vista Spa. Where are you? I might hop in the hot tub with Bill later. I can't wait for dinner at Palo tonight. ;)

If it continues to rain here I'll be at "sea" soon ....... in my backyard!

Wendy - :goodvibes I meant to tell you thank you for posting the Tokyo Disneyland AND Disneyland Paris photos. I caught Bill looking at the parks online after seeing the recent Tokyo photos. You intrigued him. We had talked about going abroad before, seeing the photos made him really want to go.;) He's the one that took the initiative and looked at the prices for the flights. I am soooooooo happy I have a hubby that "gets it". :worship: He's my Darling Disney-Loving Husband (DDLH), I created my own DISboards acronymn for him.

:rolleyes1 I am keeping my fingers crossed DCL will go back to the Med. However, I don't think they will return until the new ships are built. I heard horror stories regarding the eastbound repo. The passengers couldn't use the pools for most of the trip. Also, you think our little two days of rough seas were bad, I can't imagine being stuck on the boat for a week like that. Is there a waiting list already for the new ships maiden voyages? I thought someone said there was, but I can't find that info. That would be a pretty cool experience.:cool2:

:headache: Bill had a bombshell dropped on him regarding our September trip. His boss did NOT approve his vacation for our September trip. I thought it was all set. Supposedly, there is an annual conference in WA that his boss has "encouraged" him to attend. The dates for the conference have not been released. His boss told him, he could do what he wanted (attend it or not). However, I don't want that to jeopardize his annual review for not attending the conference. Sometimes leaving decisions like that up to the employee are a test. I am willing to postpone our trip, if we have to. I am keeping my fingers crossed the conference is earlier in the month. The biggest pain of changing the trip is that we used DVC points for part of the cruise and ALL of our lodging. We'd have to use more than three hundred points before next Spring. :scared:

I'd like to do a transatlantic, but I'm going to do it on the biggest ship I can find! The prices though are fantastic - as low as $499 per person!

I hope September works out, did you already buy the plane tickets? I remember you saying the price had gone down since you first looked.

Tokyo can be very doable. Look for cheap airfares out of the West Coast and use DVC points for the hotel!

 Does anyone watch CSI (Las Vegas)? We watched it last night. :scared1: What a cliffhanger. However, with the Sopranoesque music playing at the end of the show, you knew it was going to happen. We kept saying . . . Drive off! Drive off! What's in his other hand??????? :guilty:

It's TiVo'ed but I haven't watched it yet. :happytv:

Thanks. I just found that site the other day and liked the countdown. :surfweb:

I like it too. We needed a countdown for our upcoming trip. I hope you don't mind I created a counter from that site too.

Some good news. We upgraded (GULP), to a cat 5 from our cat 10 for the EB. DH said, hey..if we are gonna do it for a cruise, this is the one to do it for!! And I was able to book Brunch, Tea and dinner!!! I didn't get the day for brunch I wanted..I got it very late inthe cruise, but heck I got it, and if I can I will switch it. We were also able to get the sight seeing excursions we wanted.

:woohoo: Congratulations! :woohoo:

:thumbsup2 You've got Palo covered. Yum! Yum! Yum!

We were initially booked for the cruise right after you (5-days CC Double Dip). We could've waved "Hi" to you in passing. We'll wait and sail the Magic after the drydock. Does anyone know what kind of changes they are making? We sail on the Wonder in September.

We were originally signed up for that cruise but had to back out because of a schedule conflict. I am still not happy about that. :sad2:

I am so very sorry but .....

I have been on this board for about 6 years now so breaking old habits are hard to do .....

For a couple of years this kind of behavior would be called a John1 ......

The first time I did something like this I felt so strange .....

Many times I just resorted to posting some of my photographs but it wasn't the same .....

Now a days it is just second nature to me .....

So ...... here goes ..... another .....
