DIS Meet Dec 8 07

:goodvibes How is Florida Stacy? You are still there right?

This morning, I cancelled our Chef Mickey reservation for Will's birthday (in April). I changed it to Tusker House in AK. They now have the AK character breakfast there. We had done CM before and wanted to try something different. The reservation is late enough (10:20 am), that we can do Expedition Everest or the Safari before breakfast. We can't wait! :cool1:

Good news is that I got an XBox 360 for my birthday and last night I bought Guitar Hero 3! :woohoo: It was late so I haven't set it up yet. I'll do that tonight. :3dglasses

Brack:

:sad2: Sorry about your card.

You have joined "the men" on here with their XBOX 360s. Please send Annette my condolences. Just Kidding! :lmao: You'll have fun. Will even tries to get me to play his GH2. I have been boo'd off the stage many times. I have to play real sloooooooooooooooooow. It is pathetic. But, fun. Will keeps eyeing the Rock Band set they have everytime we go to Wal-mart. He does have a birthday coming up. So, we'll see. I know my "big kid" would be playing it with him too. :rotfl:

:sad1: Sad news to follow .......

...... my bag from vacation arrived yesterday from our friends .......

............... NO CF CARD!

I quess it is really lost now. :sad2:

I'm sorry to hear that. I had my fingers crossed that it'd turn up. :sad1:

Congrats! :cool1: Where else in N. Europe does the cruise go? We know you'll have a blast! Wish we were going with you. "One of these days", I have to keep telling myself. I know we can't do everything right now. Bill and I were talking about Berlin the other day. They have a huge chunk of the Berlin wall on display in one of the buildings at the MS Headquarters. If I knew when I was younger what I know now, I would have gone with some of my friends to Berlin when they tore the wall down. I was living in Belgium at the time. I chose to stay home. Silly me. :sad2:

- Jennifer

We leave out of Copenhagen and in addition to Berlin we go to Stockholm, Sweden; Helsinki, Finland; Tallin, Estonia; Gdansk, Poland; 2 days in St Petersbug, and an overnight in Copenhagan on the ship before we disembark! There's also a 2 hour stop at another city in Denmark, but we depart at 11am so unless they are giving away hundred dollar bills at the gangway, we'll sleep through that stop. :goodvibes

I think one of the reasons I didn't want to do the other Princess cruise is that you guys had spoiled me as far as traveling companions. After meeting all of you online, I felt like I was going on Princess with a bunch of strangers and it didn't feel like any fun. Luckily, after I rebooked I found a pretty active thread for this sailing on cruisecritic. And one of the guys has done the itinerary before so he's sharing some good info.

With the dollar rate what it is, cruising is actually the best way to see Europe right now. I'm eyeing a Royal Caribbean cruise to Greece, Egypt, Tunisia and Malta for the spring.

Jennifer,
Thanks for mentioning the wall. It reminded me of the movie Night Crossing. I just added it to my Netflix queue so J and I can watch it before we go to Berlin. :happytv:

That's one of Jim's dream trips! We'll get there someday.

RANT WARNING!!!! Right now I'll be lucky if I make it till the end of the week! Strange weather brings the wacky people out of the woodwork around here! I am going to spend my afternoon coloring maps. It's not my job, it's not even RELATED to my job, but it has to be done, and I guess I'm the only person in the office who can color in the lines! So as soon as I finish my soup, I'm going into the conference room, I'm going to sit on the floor with my markers, and color! And the map is 50 11"x17" pages. I'll be coloring for a while. If the taxpayers only knew how their dollars were being spent! RANT OVER!!!!

OK, I've just about finished my clam chowder, so I'm off to color.

OH!! That is one of my all time favorite movies. DrHug and I finally found a copy and watched it again a few months ago! Strange that the folks at the shop on Main Street at DL where all the movie are had never heard of it last year and it was not even in their book that listed the movies. They were:confused3

Oh man!! I'll come help you! That would be great therapy for me. DrHug and I just bought a new coloring book...Disney Villians! :thumbsup2

I had to give up the idea of sitting on the conference room floor--it's cold in there! So I'm at my desk with my Live365 Disney station playing in the background.

I love coloring too. I often color with my granddaughter in the evenings. Right now I'm working my way through a light house coloring book. It's a lot more fun than coloring the tax map for sure!

Sadly.. No.. we are back in NJ with the cold & snow :cold:

We were there over the weekend and got rained out :guilty:

Saturday we had Breakfast with the Princesses in Epcot and then hopped over to Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner.. We were watching the Fireworks in MK and WHAM!!! out of Nowhere... Down Pours!! So much we wrang out our shirts and water just streamed off our bodies.. :sad2:

Sunday we went to Crystal Palace for Lunch with Pooh and then wanted to go to Animal Kingdom but it rained again bad.. So we went to the house and watched TV before having to catch our flight..

:upsidedow

The previous owners of our house must have been cruisers. Because we receive pamphlets in the mail from Princess, RC, Celebrity and Holland America with their name on it. We received a Princess one last week and I eyed your cruise because it had two days in St. Peterburg. However, Bill was more interested in the ones that sails out of Barcelona to Italy, France, Greece and Turkey. Then again, we are only dreaming right now. :cloud9: Take lots of photos. We can live vicareously through you. ;)

How is the character meal at Epcot? We had looked into that one for Emily. But, the menu didn't appeal to us. We do need to make it to Crystal Palace. Cole was so cute with Pooh this past trip. We saw him at Epcot and AK. Cole kept smiling and saying "Pooh! Pooh!" and was hugging him so hard. We don't have any pictures of Cole looking at the camera because he wouldn't let go of the characters.

Here are some of our photos from Chef Mickey. Cole was so into the characters. I knew that was the best I was going to get from him. I am so glad he isn't afraid of the characters. I saw some kids freaking out whenever the characters would approach them. Now Santa is another story for Cole. :scared1: Cole was so cute when he was trying to feed Pluto his waffle. He almost stabbed Minnie with his fork that morning. He was trying to feed her too. It was funny for us. But, I'm sure the person inside was probably frightened for a minute with a two year old aiming a fork at them.

We like the Princess Breakfast, especially the cheesy -onion- potatoes :goodvibes We had 3 orders of those :rolleyes1

They have a Buffet area with all kinds of Pastries and Fruits

Other then that the scrambled eggs, bacon and sasuage.. are the same as anywhere I suppose :confused3

It was soo Funny.. Snow White was asking Anna about her Red hair as she Must be related to Ariel.. Well Anna sneezed right on Snow White and without a hesitation she says.. Oh My, I see you are related to Sneezy not Ariel.. :rotfl2:

Thank you! Sorry again about your card. Were there any photos, besides the Pirate Night group photo, you needed? As many people on here, I'm sure some people could forward some photos. You could always photoshop Annette and yourself into some of them. I know you can be creative. Just an idea.

Stacy,
Sorry to hear about the rain. Hope you had some fun between showers. We'll have to do the Crystal Palace one of these days. Love the Snow White photo.

Jennifer,
You'll have to let us know how you like the Tusker House character breakfast. We've never done them at the parks before, because we knew we'd get one on the ship. Now that they've scaled back onboard, J wants to do one at WDW. The pictures are awesome!!

Beth,
I also color for chocolate, but unfortunately I can't promise to stay inside the lines.

I'm on a booking roll. We just confirmed a Grand Suite on the Brilliance of the Seas for March 2009 to Egypt and the Eastern Med. If ABD offers a Scotland trip in 2009 we'll probably do that, but otherwise it'll be only weekend trips until 2010. I'm going to end up going back to the States with zero leave!
