DIS Meet Dec 8 07

Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and Mrs. Taylor. :grouphug:

Have you guys gotten any more snow?? We are supposed to get 4-8 inches in the next 12-48 hours. I'll believe it when I see it.

Mrs Taylor will also be in our prayers.

Have a great time at the concert.
 Thank you and we will.

The next time I talk to her, which should be over the weekend, I'll see if she has any other pointers.

Beth

 Thank you. :thumbsup2 That would be great. I was thinking of putting a picture of the kids in a frame with their names under them. So, when she doesn't remember them, she can read their names to put a name to their face. Maybe, we should buy her some "simpler" crossword puzzles to keep her mind sharp.

 Thank you. I know Bill appreciates the warm wishes too.

 I had to call Bill at work this morning because I thought I misheard him when he left this morning. He told me it is suppose to snow this evening. Yes it was true, we are suppose to get snow this evening. So, we'll probably get it before you. Did you get any snow on Monday night? :umbrella: Right now it is raining outside. But, is cold (30's).:cold: We don't plan to leave the house today. Will has some homeschooling work to complete and I have a couple loads of laundry to put away.:laundy: I've got everything clean and folded. It is just a matter of bringing the kids clothing upstairs and put it away. Call me crazy, but I find folding laundry therapeutic and fun. It's the putting away that's a pain.

:scared1: I listen to talk radio in the office while I am on the computer. It keeps me company. They just did a warning. We have a Winter Storm Warning until 6 am. They expect 3-5 inches of snow. For here that is major news. Most people, okay everyone, has "normal" tires. So, the roads can be slick and dangerous. Our County is on the list. I'd better call Bill to see if he's going to let his employees out early today.

:flower3: Everyone keep warm and safe.

:tinker: Jennifer

UPDATE:

:cool1: IT'S SNOWING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1:

That means it's coming our way. I'm so not excited...:sad2: I hate driving on ice and snow. Most of the time we just get ice, not the pretty stuff. They are saying we are supposed to get 4-8 inches between today and tomorrow. I'll believe it when I see it. We were supposed to get alot the other day too, but when it got close to us, the system separated and it went north and south of us. We never get the good stuff!!!

Its pouring outside right now, I can't even see out of our display window, but people keep coming in. We have been so busy today.

It should be snowing soon where you are. First we got rain, then sleet and then SNOW. I just came in from being outside with Cole and Emily. Will wanted to stay inside and keep warm. I took some pictures. I'll download and post some soon from today's snow.:goodvibes

UPDATE:
:cool1: IT'S SNOWING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1:

It's just so weird--we're going to get a lot of rain, but no snow is predicted. It's supposed to rain all day tomorrow and Saturday, which means I'll have to remember which way to go when I leave my house. I live on a small "bump" on a slightly higher hill, and in the low spots there are some small underground creeks. If it rains at high tide, those underground creeks suddenly become lakes and I can't walk to the train along my usual route because the water can become 10 - 12 feet deep in a matter of minutes!

If you live in an area where it's going to snow, be careful and stay warm!

Beth

:cool1: Bill just got safely home. He said traffic was terrible. He is very glad he has his Hummer today.

It is still coming down as I type this. Brace yourself for the worst Tina. Be safe. :goodvibes

The satellite is going out because of the visibilty. So, the kids want to use the computer to take care of their Webkinz.

Everyone have a great evening.

- Jennifer

Stacy:

You will be happy to know, Will decided to skip Webkinz today and go on the Build-A-Bear site. I guess he saw a commercial yesterday about their website. :surfweb:

Jennifer:

That snow looks so pretty! I always like to look at it when it's somewhere else. I don't like snow, so I've been really happy with our winter this year!

Beth

It's snowing!!! :cool1:
It's not sticking yet though. The temperature just dropped to 32 not too long ago though, so maybe it'll be pretty and white tomorrow!!

Alright Jenifer its official I am so JEALOUS, no snow here. Glad your little ones had such a great time. My guys were able to play in the snow for a couple of days last year so hopefully they will hit the jackpot again.

Our guide just called and wished us a happy 1 year anniversary. I can't believe its already been a year since we bought a piece of the magic.

Edited to add- alright Tina I am jealous of you too.

 <--here is me green with envy...but without the thermometer and ice pack. uuhhh wait how about this guy --->:thumbsup2

:cool1: Congratulations on the snow! :cool1:

I know what a big deal snow is for y'all. Like you, it very rarely snows here. :cool1: We woke up this morning to snow still on the ground. However, the sun is brightly shining today. :cool2: I assume by this evening, it will all be a faded memory. I'm glad I took lots of photos.

Stefanie: :sad2: Sorry you didn't get any snow. Where in North Texas do you live? Did you see on the news all the snow in Denton. We live right next to Denton (southside). Bill said I-35E was so slow coming home last night. All was clear this morning. He made it into work safely this morning.

So, you rarely get snow..is it usually warm by you? I could see in your pics that it looked like your pool was open. It stays open all year like Fl?? Just curious.

Oh..btw..are we ever going to see your Palo and "clown" picture??

Oh, I almost forgot!! We received the payment from our Travel insurance for DH's glasses. They covered $300.00 of the cost. Not too bad.

Congratulations! We were actually just talking about that at breakfast this morning. We were eating at IHOP and the weather was awful--it looked very much like that stormy day on the ship. Jim asked if I knew how you made out with the payment!

Beth

We're at the camp in WV for Annette's scrapbook retreat (120 women & ME :scared:).

There has been a lot rain and wind but no snow. It is turning very cold now so all of the water is freezing. :sad2:

I've been off the board for awhile because of sickness  I've been on an antibiotic all week but do feel better now.

Nothing like a minipirate: to make you feel better!
