DIS Meet Dec 8 07

Jennifer, please post the picture of half a clown face.
:lmao: I'm waiting on Bill to scan the photo. It was a Shutters photo. The scanner is "somewhere" in the house. Once I find it, he can set it up. Hopefully soon. . .

I just updated our signature. We're not going to WDW for Valentine's Day afterall. When we got back from vacation, Bill got a promotion. Which is great. However, he just took almost three weeks off in December with the WDW trip and cruise. He is still trying to transition out of his old job and do his new job full time. So, for the best interest of his sanity and not to jeopardize his new position, we decided not to go away so soon. But there is a positive spin to all of this. Bill has a friend/co-worker who is a HUGE Disney fan. He wanted to go to WDW for Valentine's Day to propose to his girlfriend. However, ALL the resorts are booked. So, we gave him our reservation at the Beach Club. Bill said he was sooooooooooooo happy and thankful. He kept offering us money, but we are happy to make his dream come true. All I ask is that we are invited to the wedding. Bill's friend/co-worker said there is a wishing well on a path near Cinderella Castle. That is where he plans to propose to her. I thought that was so romantic.

:rolleyes1 Our next trip to WDW will be in April. We are going to surprise DS7 with the trip as a birthday present/celebration. We looked at the Pirates and Princess Party schedule at MK and there is one on his actual birthday. So, that was a sure sign to me that we should go! We'll get another use out of his pirate costume (Halloween, the cruise and now the party!).

I'm sorry you guys aren't going at Valentine's but what a sweet thing to do with your ressie! LOTS of good romance karma for you guys from that! :thumbsup2

And, um, that picture of you at the Palo brunch? I want that little dessert! That little chocolate pot de creme is possibly the best dessert I've ever had. Makes the Reese's from my Christmas stocking seem kinda lame. (But that's not stopping me...)

Jennifer, Fred is going to email some pictures he took of you and Bill at Serenity Bay. It will probably be from his work email because it is faster than at home.

Can't post. Promised not to post any pictures of DISers in bathing suits. I always keep my promises.:lmao:

I thought I kicked my addiction to Sudoku puzzles in November. But my daughter gave me three Sudoku books for Christmas and now I am hooked again. So I am back to "just one more" and not getting much else done.
I have over 500 pictures from our cruise to put into the albums I bought on the ship. Also I want to start scrapbooking our Shutters photos from all our DCL cruises. But those #$%@ puzzle books keep calling me. I also need to load my new Ipod Nano. I think I will ask DH to hide my puzzle books (I had to do that the year I received an electronic backgammon game).

I do mine on my computer or on the phone... I hardly ever use a pen or pencil any more! Now I have to go back to looking for hidden doubles and naked triples!

:thumbsup2 We'll be there that same week! Will's birthday is on April 23rd. I am trying to figure out where and when to have his birthday dinner. I want to special order him a cake with a Pluto (his favorite character) topper. We loved Chef Mickey this past December. Maybe instead of a birthday dinner, I should plan him a birthday breakfast? I am keeping my fingers crossed to get into CRT this September for Emily's birthday dinner. We'll be on the boat for her actual birthday. But, I wanted to plan a special dinner at WDW for her too. I believe Jasmine is going to celebrate her birthday onboard too. Maybe, we should have a little party onboard Wendy? :cool1:

 That's right, I did see you at Palo Brunch. When our server gave us a tour of the buffet, my eyes kept going back to the dessert table. I wanted to be a "big kid" and head straight to the desserts. But, I refrained and ate "grown-up" food first. :lmao: I still have a Kinder egg in my refrigerator from you. The kids saved it for me. I have a Croatian friend who always brings them back a few from Europe. So, when they saw them in the stocking they knew exactly what they were. I am a big fan of white chocolate. I like that they have both the white and milk chocolate in them. Yes, I am a big kid what can I say. We went to Epcot the day we got off the Magic. I did a "candy" tour of the countries to bring home. I got some Smarties (chocolate-covered candy) from Canada and a Mars bar and Curly Wurly from England. Yum! Yum! :woohoo:

Bill heads off to Washington (state) on business this upcoming Sunday. We are suppose to start going to the gym again when he gets back. So, no more chocolate/candy or Chik Fil A when he gets back. The kid and I have been addicted to the Chik Fil A chicken sandwiches lately. They are YUMMY!

Will and Emily are beside me hounding to use the computer. They each got a Webkinz for Christmas. So, now they want to go online all the time and check on them. It is almost time to start dinner anyways.

Everyone have a great evening. TOMORROW IS FRIDAY! :cool1:

Annette has a conference in Orlando sometime in April and I might be able to go with her. If I do we'll stay somewhere at WDW. When are you all going?

I saw your later post about when you all are going to WDW. That is the week that I am in Dallas for a conference. Too bad.

Where in WA State? We are just 10 miles from Vancouver, WA. Let us know if he is nearby we can maybe sneak in a brew or something.

We won't be back in Florida until Sept - Bill and Jennifer we're at the AKV Sept 14-21st

But we have our Tokyo Disney trip in April, and then the Adventures by Disney in July. I'm curious to see how that will be. I know they don't have characters and stuff on the ABD, but the trips themselves are getting really good reviews on the DIS.

Our New Years Eve party was fun. We watched Hairspray, and the girls made up a dance to one of the songs. I love the part where Edna is in the front row of the march, and when she sees the police and media says, "I cannot be shown on TV at my present weight" and then turns sideways. :rotfl2:

Now today is Friday, and it's not a moment too soon! It's been miserably cold and damp here (wind chill of -5 on my walk to work yesterday:mad:). The good part is that I have a meeting on Jan 21 with the woman who wants me to go with her to the Teddy Bear Show at Epcot in May. If I can work out all the details, I'll be at WDW the weekend of May 18, and she'll be paying! She offered to do one of two things--pay me for working for her or pay all of my expenses for the weekend, including park tickets. Hmmm, a free weekend at WDW? OK, I'm in!

Now it's back to work. It's "annual report" time, which means endless hours of trying to straighten out all of the accounting and bookkeeping for the year :dance3:!

Ooo, let me tell you I do NOT miss working in a bureaucracy one bit. When I start feeling frustrated at this SAHM gig, I just remember...meetings. Budgets. Pantyhose.
:scared1:

Be strong, my friend. ;)
