I’m almost scared to ask this but has anyone ever proposed an in person meet up of the dis at wdw?
I was so glad to meet you Dan....a couple of times. Many (most) of my 30-35 WDW/DL trips have been solo. All have included folks from the dis. Also, many local Chicago dis meets in the past as well as a good number in various cities around the country when I was doing some business travel and I would set up dis meets while in those cities. Some are linked in my signature, though a number of the threads have broken picture links from the last dis software 'upgrade'. Over the past 24 years I have met many folks from the dis, a number are lifetime personal friends now.

Lime green used to be the official color of Dis-ers. Wearing lime green shirts, bracelets, or other items. Even lime green accoutrements on scooters or wheelchairs. All to ID yourself to others “in the know” inside the parks.
I haven’t seen any mention of it in a while, so no idea if it’s still a thing.![]()
I used to wear a lime green Mickey but was never “discovered.” I still look for them when I’m in the parks though. The lime green thing was originally paint samples that you could get for Disney colors - they were in the shape of Mickey heads. People would get those then attach them to a backpack, etc. as a little tag. That's actually before my time here, but I heard about it. Those paint samples are no longer available.
I'll be in the Orlando area during Thanksgiving until December 2nd.I haven't been to an official one, but a group of us did a fireworks cruise together in May (no $ exchanged so one of the mods doesn't stress lol).
We may be getting together again soon if the stars and moon align. Great group of friends I've made.
I have a bunch of the paint samples and take them to WDW to decorate our window (when we stay at value resorts). I also had a lime green mickey head chip that I used as a luggage tag for about a decade; I laminated it and it held up well until American Airlines got hold of my baggage! I always clip a lime green ribbon to my backpack when I go to Disney, but have never "met up" with anyone, although amberpiThe lime green thing was originally paint samples that you could get for Disney colors - they were in the shape of Mickey heads.
