DIS Ladies Only Trip 2007 WISH!

I'm planning to go work out as soon as DH leaves the house. I'm afraid to look at the scale. I had a bad day yesterday. :sad2: To much snacking....

Good afternoon, ladies!

Glad to see you here Jenna. I hope your time at the Y went well. Wendy, I hope you had a good work out too. Kat, a loss is a loss. Had it not been for you and this WISH thing we may all be up 3 pounds instead of down. Thank you for holding this together.

I am up about a pound this week. But, I am still down 6 pounds over the last 2 weeks, so I am okay with that. I think a 1-2 pounds per week is a good rate for me, so hopefully by next week I will have this pound off.

I walked some yesterday, although I don't think I made my 30 minute goal. A co worker has been walking at lunch time so I joined her today. I think we went about 45 minutes. It was 2/1 pretzel day at the local bakery and since Tuesdays are such a hectic day here at work, the same co worker went out and got about 10 pretzels. So, instead of heating my can of soup, I had a pretzel for lunch. Not what I planned....but probably not all that bad, either. I will have the soup for dinner and I should be back on track for the day.

I stayed the same. But that is okay, at least I did not gain.

I guess everyone is waiting til next week! :) That's o.k. Can't wait to see who our first three winners will be!

Hey ladies! How is everyone doing? Hopefully enjoying great weather and outside getting a bit of exercise. I should head out for a walk myself. It is beautiful here. However, I am really thinking about going shopping!

You walk when you shop, doesn't that count?:rolleyes1

I have been busy undoing everything I did well for this wish thing.

I can't eat just some vegetable gyoza. I have to add two biscotti and a fruit bar.

That doesn't sound so bad!

Good point! I did not end up shopping or walking. Did not want to waste the gas getting out to Dick's. No excuse for not walking, however!

Hi Ladies! I don't know how I will do this weekend. Or the rest of this month even! My in laws are arriving tomorrow so the potential for stress eating is high! Then on Sunday my husband and a friend of ours are doing a big Mothers day dinner for a bunch of us mothers. Since my in laws will be visiting all week, our dining schedule will be altered. It will be more difficult to get away with making Hamburger Helper for my son while I eat a bowl of Wheaties! The bad thing is I am already thinking about taking the rest of the month off since we are having a party at Buca di Beppo on June 1 for my son. Ugh. Bad thoughts. I should at least hope not to gain anything before June 1 and then jump back into it in earnest!

And no telling what will happen on my 2 week Florida trip in July with 7 days on the DP capped off with the Gospel brunch at HOB. :scared:

Tomorrow I have to go to the folks' house for my father's birthday and Mother's Day. there'll be chocolate cake. and Italian sausage.

I can handle limiting myself to one piece of cake. But one Italian sausage? no way.

Its too smoky here to enjoy a nice walk. Of course I have to take a good walk twice a day whether I want to or not. I'd like to see some rain here. Doing a rain dance. That counts as exercise right?

Sounds like some serious food challenges coming up these weekend, and beyond. Good luck everyone. :goodvibes Tuesday is the final weigh in for the mini-challenge!!!

I hear ya, Catherine. I can leave behind the cake, but I love sausage and peppers.

Yes, Kat, a rain dance counts as exercise!

My husband is picking his parents up from the airport at 4:30 today then taking them to dinner at a chili parlor--local thing. Nothing "good" to eat there, so I think I will see if my husband would be upset if I did not join them. That will give me another day on track with my eating. Besides, I have shopping to do. Now, if I can only stay away from Auntie Anne's while I am out!

I had an AHA moment this morning!

I know I posted about eating 10x your weight in calories to lose weight, and 15x your weight in calories to maintain. (okay--20x your weight to gain! :scared: ) Well, since learning that, I have been trying to stay at that 10x or lower. If I fall short of that I am upset. So, today, it occurs to me, why take a "maintain" day every now and again instead of setting the goal for weight loss every day? When that thought hit me I started to feel a lot better about having "the men" prepare dinner today! :goodvibes
