**DIS Girly Weekend 2010** ~ IT'S OVER :(

Are there actual Croc Shops around ? I can't say I've ever seen one there before (thank goodness) ;)

Yes, there are. I was so happy when our Croc shop in Manchester opened. Crocs are not all horrid. I get so many compliments on my high heeled velvet Crocs and people are shocked when I tell them they are Crocs. I was going to bring them for the evenings, but now it will be Irregular Choice shoes instead.

Can't believe it's only 3 days - hope this stupid cold has gone by Friday :sad2:

I hope you feel better soon.

Corinna

Anyway, I'll be seeing the professionals next Wednesday. I'll see what Richard thinks about the short choppy style and take it from there.

What have you decided to do about your hair Karen ? Are you going for a new 'do' ?

I can't wait to get mine done tomorrow :)

Sorry you're suffering Joh. I'm sure by the time we arrive Saturday your Friday intake of alcohol will have killed any germs left. Medicinal purposes of course :thumbsup2

I had a meal with the girls from work last week. Two glasses of wine and I felt rough the next day. I am so out of practise

yay not long now...........
well i went shopping yesterday and didnt find anything to wear. :sad2:
going to try again tomorrow.

No, there isn't. I know that there are three in London and one in Manchester, but I am not sure if there are any Croc shops anywhere else in the country.

Corinna
There used to be one in Derby, not sure its there anymore.
Think they had to close most due to their finacial problems.

There's always that chance Lesley ;)

Fingers crossed youre feeling a lot better for the weekend.xxxx:wizard:

Well, my hair cut is cancelled. I was in two minds about this anyway as it is already shorter than usual. My day off is tomorrow and Graham has taken tomorrow off as well so I want to spend the day with him rather than at the hairdresser.

Corinna

I hope you'll be fighting fit by Friday Joh.

Hope you find something to wear soon Nicky. :wizard:

I've had to change my plans due to one of my dogs being poorly. I was due to have my haircut today which i've had to cancel, also didn't have time to shop for a new top, so i'll either have to make do with what i've got or see if I can pop into town again on Thursday.

I have still got an appointment to get my hair cut on Thursday but I'm seriously considering cancelling it.

Hope your poor doggy is better soon Claire - it won't stop you from being able to join us at the weekend will it?

I actually like what I've done myself, Mandy - it feels/looks a lot different with sooo much chopped off. I've probably cut about 8" off altogether as I hacked off an inch or so before going to Bristol last week.. And I've cut in more of a fringe. So I think I'll just get the pro to tidy it up.

Have fun getting yours done.. :goodvibes

Good luck, Nicky!!! It's always the way when I want something for an event - I can never find what I'm looking for...

I'm crossing my fingers for her, Joh - but it's pretty serious... :sad2:

Just catching up on this ~ and a lot to catch up it was too! :rotfl2:

Hope you're feeling better soon, Joh  and that your dog is too, Claire. My eldest dog had 6 teeth out yesterday  and was feeling very sorry for herself when we picked her up but she's eaten her breakfast this morning and seems much happier today. Best of all, her remaining teeth are all clean and sparkly!

Looking forward to catching up with you all on Saturday morning. :goodvibes I've got Joh and Mandy's numbers so once we've met up with Beth and dumped our bags at the hotel will give you a ring.

Thanks I'll go to Westfield tomorrow then to get some.

They are wonderous stores!

Sending you a massive hug to make you feel better.

 I hope Bailey is better soon Claire. There must be something in the water, as I've not long had a message from my mum who has somehow hurt her foot this morning when out with my dad. She won't go to the doctor, and has made an appointment to see her chirpodist early Friday morning, and as her carer of course I have to take her

So it looks like it's the train for me, blimey, it really has been one of those days !!

 Sorry about the rambling message earlier Nat, I'll get back to you once I know what I'm doing :) xx

Thanks Joh, I am really hoping I will still make it but i'll just have to see how things progress over the next few days.

We took her in as an emergency last night as she couldn't open her mouth, it's got some ridiculously long name but basically they think her immune system is attacking her muscles. For now we have been given a weeks worth of tablets to try and reduce her inflamed throat and then take her back next week to see what happens next. Obviously if she deteriorates or stops eating & drinking then we take her straight back in.....so fingers crossed she doesn't get any worse. :wizard:

Oh no. I hope your mum is ok Mandy.

Thankfully I've stopped flapping now, and I've got a grip. I've checked out the train times and they run every hour direct to Southampton, so if all goes well at the Chirpodist Friday morning I could be on the 10.25, 11.25 or 12.25 train, which takes just over 2hrs & 15mins, though the £60 ticket prices were a bit of a shock :scared1: Never mind, at least I'm still coming :yay:

Mum is fine in herself, though in a lot of pain, but she still insists that we somehow get her to the hairdressers on Thursday (what is she like ?) :)

Sorry to hear that Mandy - hope your Mum's not in too much pain and the chiropodist can sort her out...

Sending you plenty of PD and crossing all my bits, hun... :wizard:
