**DIS Girly Weekend 2010** ~ IT'S OVER :(

Ooh mandy I did the same thing with the party planner, I'm so sorry :-(, didn't mean to step on your toes. Told them my birthday was that weekend lol. Can cancel mine if you want x

Oh any of the restaurants sound good to me :) Plus the bars with retro music :teeth:

Claire ;)

wow, it sounds really good - can someone bring a name tag/hotel label for me as i might forget where I am ...the diet coke might go to my head :lmao:

oh..a question???- how much dosh do i need to bring for meals and drinks etc. i haven't paid to get into a night club since the 80's...bet the music hasn't changed much :goodvibes:lmao:

I normally bring about £200 which usually more than covers all meals and drinks and the hotel cost, however this year I'm planning on about £150 since the hotel is already paid for.

That sounds great Mandy - like the sound of the bubbly and bits and bobs at Reflex.

I will eat pretty much anything so don't mind where we eat - I guess a consideration will be the number of people we will need to bulk book for.

If you want me to ring any of them and see if they do larger parties Mandy let me know - although I won't get a chance till next week as we are off to Glastonbury tomorrow.

Good luck to Kerry with her presentation tonight

Tam

I'm the same Tam, I will eat anywhere. Hopefully everyone will look through the menus and will suggest where to go, and the most popular we will give a ring to see if we can book a table

Thanks, Kerry had a great night. Somehow, I didn't fancy the food, I wonder why ? :rotfl::rotfl:

I've still got the glasses from last year!

Nice one :yay::yay:

Nah, don't worry about it hun, the more free bubbly and bits & bobs we get, the better ;)

Dinner, a diet coke and then back to the hotel?? :laughing:

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Oh yes, that's the kind of places I like going to too (also known as anywhere that sells booze and is a bit loud :lmao:)

im planning on bringing 200 pounds as well (ish)

I'll be taking between £150 and £200 pounds too. I rarely buy anything when we're shopping, but I do like my cocktails

As usual, I haven't been keeping up with this thread. Without question I'll go along with the consensus as far as eating is concerned, but my preference would be for somewhere independent/different, rather than somewhere like TG!'s where I can go any time. I imagine Southampton has a lot to offer. Like Joh, Chinese wouldn't be my top choice. I understand the thinking behind going somewhere near Reflex. I'll try to find some time to check out the links posted over the next few days. Won't be tomorrow as I'm off to London to see Brad Paisley.

I agree Deb, Tgi's is good for the one night but to follow that up the next night with another similar restaurant would be a shame

hopefully we can find somewhere that suits all our needs (or as near as )

:)

Well, I'm easy to please although I would prefer it not to be Chinese.

I'd be fine with TGI's (although I think you're going there Friday? ), Frankie and Benny's, the Brasserie, Coco Rio's, I also like the sound of the two Italians ~ Pulcinella and Puccinis. I also don't mind the Mexican one, for those who've read my trippie bring on the black beans!! :lmao:

I really have no preference when it comes to restaurants, can always find something I will eat on a menu.
Btw wanted to ask do any of you girlies plan on dressing up 70s or 80s style for the bars? Wasn't sure if to pack accordingly lol

Nor me - sorry Claire but 80s fashion is horrendous :scared1:

Does that mean I can't wear my ra-ra dress and white stilettoes? :rotfl2:

Only joking.......no way am I dressing up. Might still dance around my handbag though. Can't remember the last time I went to a club..... shows how old I am.:eek:

No, I really think you should wear your ra-ra and white stilettoes - I could use a good laugh ;)

The only time I ever go to a club/disco/bar of any kind is on the girly weekend - Mandy and Nat are a bad influence on me :sad2:
