Went to the open house... Math class is hard...don't think DS "got" today's assignment...homework is going to be very time consuming. Intersections...Compliments of A & B & Unions with C...I don't know! Oh - and then there's that SURVEY he needs to finish...Actually he needs to DO the survey and then make the charts etc. Arrgghhh!

Weird day for football yesterday.

Just got back from Costco (developing film) and Target (cat food, diapers, paper towels) - oh and coffee. Now put stuff away, feed cats, do laundry and vote by mail!

Tonight is soccer practice. Dinner - Rigatoni with Chicken and Broccoli.

OK...swimming is over until Friday...I have decided even tho it's further that I prefer the Sat afternoon & Sun morning practices over that Fri. nite one that's close...but we have to go to a wedding on Sat. so he has to go on Friday nite. (The wedding is for a co-worker of DH's...uggg...it's an hour away on a farm in PA! Outside, under a tent or something...I have never met the girl. So do you think I am lookin forward to THIS event? Ummmm.....too far to drink much & drive home....saving grace about it is that I intend to wear a pantsuit, no dress. Who am I kiddin' anyway? I don't have any dresses!) I went to Bed, Bath & Beyond to get something off their registry the other day...when the girl who rang me up pulled the registry to mark it she says "Oh! I'm going to the same wedding!" She lives next door to the groom...and knows nobody else either...so we decided we would seek each other out!

OK, off to watch Heroes....

Dr says all my headache medicine has given me an ulcer..they took blood and if it comes back positive, she will put me on a HOOGE dose of antibiotics to kill the bacteria...sounds like fun huh/?

I was just reading thru that humongeous thread on the new bookings...YIKES! on the prices! I swear that a Cat 10 will be $10K on the new ships! Gert - I hope you can get something reasonable on your Christmas cruise...but it ain't lookin' so good!

Need to go to the store...then work outside a bit while it's nice... I need to find a big box for DS...gonna ask at the grocery store...we have come up with a new idea he really likes for his Halloween costume! He's going to be a recycling box! If we can find a box that's about 18 or 20" or so square I can get a can of bright blue spray paint (our county recycling boxes are bright, bright blue) we can paint it blue & then paint that recycling triangle on it in white. Then we can cut a hole for his head and a couple on the sides for armholes... I pulled out a couple of things from the recycling to attach to the top of it to look like it's full (diet coke bottle, peanut butter jar, juice bottle etc.) and I am going to cut the bottom off of a 1/2 gal. milk jug to make him a hat from the top! First things first - need the right size box! I might need a hot glue gun too? Haven't figured out the attaching process yet!

Annie, cool idea! Cam wants to be Tomlison(sp?) the trash talking player for SD. He claims hes a fan of SD and was every before Sunday. hmmm??? I've nixed that idea. I hate to tell the kids but trick or treating is going to be cut short this year...got a party to go to and I dont get out much!

How funny about the store clerk! At least you will know someone. We have a wedding the next weekend. By Nov 1 I have a shower, wedding, Halloween party, and hockey game to go to. This is an expensive couple of weeks.

Thank you all for the Anniversary wishes, wish I could say we had a good day, but me,Linda,Tyler,and Sean P are all sick with head cold and congestion, it really stinks. But Thanks to everyone for remembering our special day. We miss all you guys, Is It Time TO Cruise Again Yet.....

OK, so I found a big box today at TJ Maxx that I think I can get to work for this costume (Target won't give out boxes ) (This one actually opens on the wrong side so I am going to have to MAKE it work.) Then of course tonight DH is like "Oh let me look at work for a box". But so OK, ummm...I bought spray paint today too and was planning to go outside & spray paint that sucker tomorrow! We got like one more good day of warm sunny weather & then it goes right down the old you know what 'er (can't say it here or it will get *****). I want to make sure this whole idea is gonna WORK so I have time to figure out Plan B if I have to! It was really hard to find a box I thought would work...

Worked outside for a couple hours. I HATE cutting down all of my perennial beds - yucky chore. I got about 2/3 done with my biggest bed. Wonder how sore I will be tomorrow now that my lazy butt did some manual labor?!

1) Whatever happened to Claire's creepy boyfriend from last season?
2) Why can't Nathan keep his pants on?
3) What happened to Nathan's WIFE? Hello! Rena Sofer played his wife before...he never got divorced or anything did he?

Phyllis - didn't know you were seriously considering those Med cruises...you gonna do another cruiseline for the Med instead or nothin'? Those fires out your way are scary...I am glad you got your trees trimmed! No repeats of last fall please!

Guess with all the new cruise meets for Europe & the Med we can't maintain Page 1 status any more....

Been emailing back & forth with DS's English teacher...new grades were posted last night... He has (17) A's, (2) C's and (1) Incomplete (because of an assignment he "forgot" about) in that class...therefore a 76% (C) average because of the way those 2 stoopid C's are weighted in the overall GPA!! They just happen to fall in the 60% of his grade category. Same thing is going on in Math....he gets A after A then hits 'C's on his quizzes (which BTW are like 3 pages long...so to ME they're more than a "quiz"). But so he's got a low B in Math...hangin' on by a thread... Meanwhile, this stoopid survey is due next Monday and there is no school on Friday (teachers have a convention). So he HAS to finish taking his survey today and tomorrow so he can work on it over the weekend. This survey falls in the 70% category! (Insert choking gulping smilie here!!!)
